Training is easy! Just name up to 3 pokemon you wish to train, and say how you're training them. They'll all gain 1 exp. After a few training sessions, the GM will give them a training roll bonus based on how they've been training, (hopefully) earning them a nice chunk of bonus exp in addition to the guaranteed 1.

Acid is now the move that does what Acid Spray does in the games, wouldn't you say? So Acid Spray is offense (-2) and Acid is defense (-1). I think I'd like to leave it that way, even though Acid Spray is better at what it does.


As for the Contest stat, you can treat it as a Specialty instead of a Skill for use in battles where appearance matters, or you can just use Perform for this purpose. To keep Shiva caught up with the battlers, in the future I plan to award extra XP to Shiva when she performs her niche role in the party. As we discussed earlier, leveling up things like Strength might not mean you're muscley, but rather that your flashy moves are simply more effective. Your Fight skill could be an elegant style of fighting, more akin to tai-chi or something. Perfectly valid choices!

Acid has always done that, though. Acid Spray is just a MUCH stronger version of it in the games (both because the effect is stronger and it's guaranteed to proc)

Considering that Ventus is currently spending time chilling and bonding with Lucifer While I wait around for Shiva , does anything interesting happen ?

Hmmm....no Absol yet...though I guess that makes sense since disaster has been mostly staved off by this point.

Oh well. Guess it will show up when it feels like it...if that's not now, there'll be plenty of opportunities later, I'm sure.

I thought a town in despair was reason enough to see one , our DM ' s will be unknown ! Perhaps it will appear on our return trip to Wineberry , though , since we will probably began to raid that place sooner rather than later ! Nothing causes a disaster like battling it out with mages !

Since Nathan will never know what he did to that one Houndour exactly ( you know , THAT one ), mind telling me just how he would have reacted ?

I've been finding it a little weird that Nathan and Kirlia had that strange, vague premonition about Absol, yet the pokemon hasn't shown itself at all since then...hmmm...

How Nathan would react...well...it wouldn't have been pretty. And he'd be INCREDIBLY angry at Ventus for disrespecting a pokemon like that. And for doing it in front of Shiva since they were in a dream. It would have been incredibly difficult to repair that damage, which is why I opted for the 'he was too distracted to notice' explanation instead.

Well , looks like he 's only going to mention he killed those dogs in self defense purely , since any other explanation will be a rather poor one. Rmember , though , that Gen did know he was in a Dream until it was brought up By Nathan , and that Shiva was completely passed out from it all Even in the Dream .  Blaming him for doing something he didn't realize would not have gone well , though he feel pretty awful about it regardless. Glad that didn't come to pass , eh ?
