A different thing, @Nylon, I figured out you could actually do rather good against Corsage's Gym Leader! Seemingly he uses Ghost Types. With your Ghastly being Ghost/Poison you'd receive normal damage from opponent's Ghost Type moves, and could deal super effective hits on Mono-Ghost Types using new STABed Shadow Ball. Just have to be careful for Psychic moves which some Ghost Types can have, but that's where Theo comes in with his Dark/Steel Typing. With Feint Attack he could deal super effective STABed damage while resisting opponent's Ghost Type moves. He just has to be careful if the Gym Leader owns something from the Litwick-line, but that's where Froakie can jump in!

The only question would just be whether you actually want to challenge Gym Leader, since he has a somewhat unforgiving and merciless nature. This scared me enough not to take on the challenge personaly, plus I have too many Psychic Types and too little other choices to stand some chance against him.

Poison doesn't resist Ghost, unfortunately. Only Dark resists Ghost, and Normal is Immune.

I wouldn't let the Psychic types get in the way of challenging him entirely, considering Nathan's three strongest pokemon are all at a little bit of a disadvantage here (Kirlia and Starmie are weak to Ghost without a reliable way to hit back, and Porygon2 can't use Tackle against ghosts in exchange for being immune to Ghost itself), so I'm going to have think a little more creatively about how Nathan's going to handle this challenge. However, in-character, I would imagine Shiva might be a little more intimidated by the gym leader if she were to learn exactly how he handles challengers anyways, so...

Whoops, missed that. So Ghastly would receive super effective damage from Ghost moves, but can land super effective damage on Mono-Ghost Types the opponent would have.

With STABed Shadow Ball and STABed Feint Attack he'd also deal 4x damage on a Dramsama. Awesome.

Hmmmm...an interesting suggestion Ventus just made...Nathan might not be opposed to it...but if you wanted to invite him along, you should probably contact him so he gets there sooner rather than later (you'd be waiting a good 40 minutes or so at least for him if you didn't, after all)...and preferably have Shiva do the inviting.

Things might be strained between Ventus and Nathan, but it's becoming a little less tense since he understands why Ventus couldn't tell him the big secret either...

Of it was easy to win Shiva ' s hand , it would not be nearly as exciting to earn it ! Someday , someday ....
