Would that be the best idea for the gym battle, though?  Those Air Slash flinches and the raw power (and ridiculous effect stacking) of Sky Attack could come in handy, after all...

They would be powerful , but I'm thinking of another thing that makes me hesitate to use them , though : they don't have any use for XP besides surprises . Apsis , Ariel , and Lucifer need the XP for important moves , while Raphael can do comfortably without . I could use them , but then one of my other fighters would miss out in the 4 v 4 double battle we have planned .

Wait ... So each of us can choose one item to use in the battle , place it on the candleabra , and it can be used by either one of us ? And Chuckles gets to use a copy of our items ? Is that right , Iron ?

That's the gist of it that I'm getting.  I pick one, you pick one, either of us can use them at any time, and Chuckles gets his own copies of them to use as well.  

Well, unless he has none of that item.  Then he gets to pick out something from whatever he has on hand instead.

@PhantomUnderYourDesk: I believe Raphael would be willing to give Azurill a ride , if you ask them too . They are a kind hearted soul , so they would not feel put upon at all if you suggest this ! Perhaps being around Togekiss will make the blue fuzzball even happier ?

Good point there! @Iron, does Azurill feel confident enough to do aproach Raphael and ask if she can fly on his back along the way?

Even with that creepy setting - or rather, indeed because of this creepy setting - with chandelier and candles and stuff, I quite much enjoy the mansion Gym Leader resides in.

I Find the decor smashing , If I do day so myself ! Gothic feel combined with a nautical bent is strangely appealing in my mind now ...

I'm fine with locking the threads now that and do wish him well. Looking forward to GM returning then within the sane breath!
