"Emily.  This is easily the best picture I've seen from your work so far.  Don't let it get you down too much.  Did you happen to get his name?  Or could you tell me what he looked like?  Maybe I can help."  Reiner looked both compassionate and very, very serious somehow...this was a topic that hit very close to home base with him...

Sniffling a bit wipping some of he snot off on hear skirt, she nodded her head, hestitately stuttering out: "Thank...thank you mister. You...you so kind to me. *sniff* The meanie poopy head called himself Archie, and he had greasy, slicked back hair and a nice suit, like my dad were to special meetings. He left towards the Rocket Casino....I think he's going to the mo...money he won to buy that Porygon. I don't like hating people, mister, but I really hate that...that cunt!" Wow nelly, this girl has a mouth on her. Who would have thought....

"Archie...Alright, I'll keep an eye out for him.  If he thinks bullying kids and crushing their dreams is entertaining, he'll soon be discovering that kind of attitude is going to attract all kinds of unnecessary attention."

Reiner looks at Emily for a moment.

"And you, young lady, should watch your mouth.  While I agree that he deserves to be on the receiving end of any number of colorfully descriptive words, not everyone will be as lenient about hearing those kind of descriptions as I might be.  What you say can greatly affect how people view you, and I've personally experienced first hand the differences between a well thought out comeback and an impulsive outburst.  One of them is far more favorable than the other, obviously."

He goes to stand, though he doesn't push Emily away, instead letting her move away when she's ready to let go of him.

"Now then, if you'll excuse me, it looks like I have good reason to meet this Archie fellow.  The sooner, the better, right?"

A few more snuffles and some wiped tears , and Emily was starting to calm down, thanks to your promise and the constant love nudges the Felicia was giving her. She looked up at your blue eyes, her own still puffy red but at least no longer tear streaked, and gave you a weak, wavering smile. "Thank you, mister. Your the nicest friend ever. Letting me pet your Pokémon, encouraging my art, *sniff* and now getting that meanie. Sorry about my language mister, but when I get so, so mad ... I start cussing like a sailor. Pick it up from my grandpa, which my mom is still cross over. Thanks for reminding me."

She lets go of your leg and backs up, allowing you free range of movement. Just before you left, though, you couldn't help but pick up mumble, "I still wish Team Rocket came and bullied him, the jerk..." If only she knew, If only she knew.... The city of people's emotions still were somewhat overwhelming, but you were happy? to learn one trick to shield you from them: have strong enough feelings to block them out.

Racing off in the direction she indicated, and closing followed first by Rhyxmeplar (Wowzer, he's big, but he's fast!), then a startled-yet-anger pair of cats trailed behind. During the chase, they managed to use this speed to make a Hit and Run on a unsuspecting street goer!

At the speed of righteous anger, you soon see the bastard in front of the Casino, standing there and counting quite a large bag of money! With a hairdo like that, you know who he is! What are you going to do?

Groaning and disoriented from the sudden assault, Weavile has more than enough time to snatch the Emily's Bag Full of Mulla ( Around $120000 [!] , if conversion from Coins to Poke worked that way) , 3 Full Restores, and about half the bastard's money [$5000 Poke] ) , before he beats a hasty retreat to your side and lets out a throaty, evil cackle. Take that, Archie!

With a surprising amount of grace from an elite person, they spring back up to their feet in short order, absolutely fuming furious and beat red from Weavile's theft of his worldly possession! "You! You uncoath, degenerative, retrograde waste of a human being! Return my items and revenue to me the is instant, or I'll show you the true wealth and power of the Sterling name! I may even be in a generous enough mood not to call the Police on you, if you hand over all you riches as recompensation for damages against my person and suit!" Wow nelly, he's a Sterling? A member of the Sterling Family in Saffron City, known for their riches, resourcefulness, and refinement? THIS spoiled man was related to them? Bloody hell!

Mate, you might want to put your vast quantities of money where your mouth is.  At least I have the decency to not get a little girl's hopes up before promptly crushing her dreams.  And before you get any ideas, ask yourself if you want to mess with this guy..."  Reiner jerks a thumb backwards to indicate the massive Rhyxemplar behind him, before unleashing Kingdra and Arbok as well!

The rich man just scoffs and release all his Pokémon in respone to your threat: his Shiny Ninetales, a Heloisk, and a....Coalith?! How much money does this bastard have, to get a Tandorian Dragon?! For that matter, just how skilled is he if he's comfortable enough to summon all three of his mons, instead of one or two? Oh dear. "So your a friend of that talentless hack that call herself an artist...how droll. To you, her awful coloring, the dreadful pencil marks she dare say that represent my beautiful Ninetales, her pictures would appear like fine art to you. Just look at this, and you'll see why I panned her work rightfully, like the trash it is!" Archie then fiddles with an expensive wristwatch for a few moments, shifting through a holographic display that popped up, before selecting one thing, causing a picture to appear right in front of him.

It was, quite frankly, an masterpiece. It depicted his Shiny Ninetales, sitting in the middle of a forest trail during autemn. Each individual object in the painting, from the star of the piece of itself to the red leaves that adorned the maple trees, was rendered in heart melting detail and painstaking precision. It was to the point that, if you clearly didn't know better, you would have though he was showing a still image of an especially expensive camera feed. You couldn't tell want medium of colour the artist used to create this picture, but you didn't need to in order to understand that he was the creep of the crop in terms of artist. You now understood somewhat why Archie utterly disregarded Emily's work. To him, the girl work was like a kindergarteners poorly drawn art project standing next to a Picaso; it was clearly no contest which was better. Doesn't mean it give the person the right to being a total douchenozzle

He just sighs and pinches his nose in frustration and...disappointment? "Its deplorable that her parent have not disciplined her on pursuing such a fanciful dream as an artist, instead of steering her on more suitable occupations, like an Doctor, Lawyer, or Politcian with that natural charm of hers! She could even be an excellent trainer, if she put far more effort into raising her Pokémon from their lackluster state, instead of wasting it on her horrible drawings. *Sigh* Perhaps I was too harsh on my critisim of her work, but I could not in good conscious just endorse it, so I tried to dissuade her to the best of my ability. I went so far as to try and remove the bad influence right from them, but after my bout with her I knew that was an impossible, so I just took my prize money and left. She complained I took far too much, but in my experience this is an acceptable, if low, amount of compensation, so I ignored her pleas on went on my way."

Archie puts his hands on his hips, looking strangly tolerate and understandingly at you. It was...weird, coming from a arsehole like him. "I'm sorry the misunderstanding this girl caused you, sir. She put you up to this, didn't she. Well, as a gentleman, I'm willing to overlook this slight against my person if you just return my rightful possession, and we'll be on our separate ways. Is that acceptable?" He extends a hand out to you, in a gesture of peace.

What will you do, mate?

Reiner doesn't respond for a moment.  He just had an interesting thought...

How happy and loyal were this man's pokemon? With his newfound empathy, he could likely find out fairly quickly...just had to keep Archie busy with talking while he analyzed that...

"Talent like that is often grown into.  It's truly an exceptional case when someone is naturally that good at their craft.  If you kill off someone's potential before they've grown into it, they'll never reach their limits.

"Since you seem to somewhat understand that, I MIGHT return your items without too much of a fuss.  You trigger a battle over this, though, and you'll find you're not the only skilled trainer here.  So, let's keep this civil, shall we? I doubt either of us would appreciate drawing even more attention over something so small, hm?

"So, let me tell you about my perspective.  I agree that there's room for her to improve, in both art and battle.  Is she a master of either?  No.  But she's working hard to improve.  That drawing of your Ninetales is some of her best work yet, after all.  I'm sure many have told her that trying to be an artist is a difficult prospect.  Yet she still aspires to be one eventually.  I'd say that kind of dedication should be rewarded.  What about you, though?"

"You speak truly, good sir? Hmm...that would explain why my personal artist always got annoyed when I called her work a product of natural talent, not skill. She would never tell me why straight to my face, and always evade my questions when I tried to make polite conversation with her. Still, my points are still valid sir: she would be far better of in either in a more public oriented occupation or professional trainer, then trying to develop her craft in art. Why should one struggle in a field they are not suited for, instead of moving to more fertile ground to grow their natural talents? If you have been a friend of her for awhile, surely you can tell her charms and way with words, while a bit undeveloped now, are exceptional. I'm not just going eat crow and do something that goes against my core principles, even if its for the shake of a small child. The world is a cruel place, and one must learn early on that it has no favorite, and shows no mercy. Call it outlandish, but by the hard look in your eyes, I do believe you know where I'm coming from by saying this..." Archie says, still looking a bit irritated at his loot not being returned right away, but clearly is making the effort of being understanding and diplomatic instead of a jerk. Which he is, but maybe not intentionally.

While chattering away at you, you discretely try to get a read on each of his Pokémon. From the Shiny Ninetales, you feel a abundance of warmth, happiness, strength, care, and love (Maybe a bit too much; you distinctly recall the legends surrounding these mystical foxes...) for her master, and a sense of unflitching obedience and trust in him (6 Happines and 6 Loyalty). Her ears flick a bit, before she looks you in the eyes, feeling faintly annoyed. Her eyes glow softly, and you get the distinct sense of someone politely but firmly pushing you out of their mind, before locking you out. Yikes, better not mess with the fox anymore!

The Heliolisk , on the other hand, don't have any particularly strong feeling for their master, other than a basic sense of loyalty and happiness owned Pokémon typically have (2 Happiness and 2 Loyalty). He seems kind of lazy to your sense, not particularly quick to anger or displease, and overall seems like an easy going creature.

Coaltih, though, is anything but content with his master's care. He desires to fly free in the sky, to battle in fierce, life or death struggles, and just wants to get down with his bad self! Unfortunately, his prim and proper master restrain those desires of his, and he chaffs hard under such a leadership style. He'll still follow their orders in battle, but its clear he would be far happier in the care of someone a little more deviously and battle minded than him....(0 Happiness and 3 Loyalty; 3 Disobedience)
