[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
'So Coatlith isn't at all pleased, eh? Must be something he acquired recently...well, at least he has some sense of civility.  I'll have to keep an eye out for him later...'

Time to wrap this conversation up, then...

"I'm MORE than familiar with what you mean.  And I know from personal experience that while the world is cruel, it is still possible to beat the system.  Very few people are just given what they want from life.  Most have to work their tails off for it.  I know I've had to.  And I think Emily understands that as well, considering how much effort she put into that drawing of your fox.  Ask your personal artist about it.  I'm sure she'll say the exact same thing.  I can't force you to change your views, but do at least try to be considerate of others'. Your artist was likely no better than Emily at drawing at one point, after all, and I'm fairly certain that, just like me, you weren't always a competent battler.  It takes practice to get that good in practically everything.

"So, let's strike a deal.  You have a chat with your artist about that, see what she says.  If she is of a similar opinion, I'm sure she'd be very interested in hearing about the budding artist in the city next door.  You promise to do that, you'll get your items back without a fuss after we've both recalled the pokemon we sent out.  Deal?"

And Reiner was going to be paying very close attention to which pokeballs Archie recalled his pokemon to...and of particular note, Reiner also hadn't said anything about returning the money that had been nabbed... Wink

Archie gives you a appraising look for a moment, before closing his eyes and tilting his head down in thought for a moment. After a minute or two of think an inaudible muttering to himself, the man let out a exserbated sigh, looks toward you again, before nodding his head. "You make a convincing argument, sir, so I will head your advice and inform my artist of what we just discussed and hear her input on it. If her opinion on this matter proves favorable to...'Emily', was it? Yes, if she decides to meet up with the girl herself and give her professional review on their work, and finds merit in it, then I won't either of them for their choice, be it apprenticeship, tutoring programs, or sending her to art school with me as their patron. If she does not, then the matter is settled once and for all, and the girl will be informed in some way about more condusive uses of her talent. I hate waste, so I will make sure I did not accidently commit a grevious error on my part."

He then gives you a rather stern and deadpan look, hands on hips once more, as he stares at you unamusingly. "I case you forgot, I said I wanted all of my possessions. That includes the bag of money I most recently won, as we discussed earlier, and half the Poke your Weavile stole off my person. I always check to see whether I have been robbed when someone bumps into me, or uses Thief/Embargo, so please return it. If you want to keep that money rightfully, you will have to challenge me to a honorable battle and win, sir. If Emily desires her savings back, you either have to earn it for her, or have her challenge me herself again once she's improved. "

"Well spotted.  However, I said you're only getting your items back with good reason.  You think you can take on my pokemon when they all have an advantage against yours and you have no items?  I suggest we save ourselves the time and trouble when it's fairly clear who would win.  If you wish to press it, I won't stop you, but don't say I didn't warn ya.  I will hold NOTHING back if you insist on continuing this folly, nor will you receive your items before the battle.  A few people around might be able to tell ya about just how terrifying my Arbok alone is, and that doesn't even include the rest of my team."

(FUCK YOU INTERNET CONNECTION, for eating my ipost yet again!)

Archie gets a dangerous Look into his eyes, as he throws back his head and lets out an arrogant laugh, amused by your threats. "Ah, so you are the thuggish brute I first thought you were, just far more educated than your looks belay. Hmph, you think you have an advantage just by stealing my items, do you? You don't; all my items are ID locked , so you will find just as much use as I have for them now: none. Those were not the only items on my person, though. I have several stashed on my person, hidden safely away from that thieving Weavile of yours. " he says, stepping a couple of steps towards you in defiance, with his Pokémon following him forward. Ninetales starts growling, eyes glowing, Helieolisk put his arms behind their head and raises an eyebrow at you, while Coalith looks very battle hungry at this turn of events...

He points a finger at your Arbok, then suddenly makes a thumbs down gesture at them, dissing the now furiously hissing snake! "You think you can just steal from ME, Archie Sterling. You are a very big fool. My Pokémon are just as capable of yours, and we have even type advantages. Fight me, you welp, IF. YOU. DARE."

(If you use more than three Pokémon in battle, I'll have to start making rolls to determine whether your Pokémon attacks misses because of the chaos, or hit each other instead! You could use 4 'mons on Mew because it was a Legendary that focused all of them singularly at them, and because of that psychic connection they provided to them.)

"I'd be careful with who you're calling a thuggish brute.  I'm not doing this because I particularly enjoy it."

Reiner cracks his knuckles (Leveling Brawl to 2 for 6 EXP!), then touches the Key Stone!

"I'm doing this because I have all the reason I need to do it."

Rhyxemplar and Arbok are up first!  Time for initiative!

Before the Mega Transformation fully triggered, Archie whipped out a Guard Specs from his sleeve, and breaks it open, protecting all his Pokémon on the field from Mega Arbok's deadly gaze! "I've heard about your pet abomination kind before, and I know what its ability does, so how about I deny you that advantage? Kyubi and Raijin, front and center! Their is trash to be disposed of , and we must do our part in cleaning the street, like any law abiding citizens!" The Ninetales and Heliolisk step forward in front of their master, looking prepare for the fight of their lives! Kyubi eyes glowed even more fiercely, and as she lifted up her head and splayed her nine white tail, the sunlight suddenly became harsh and almost unbearable! Drought Triggered.

Drought Changes: All weather abilities last until the encounter is completed, and their effects are doubled for all that benefit/suffer from them.

Intiatives:
Kyubi: DEX (4) + Survival (2) + Roll (5) = 11
Raijin: (5) + 6 = 11
Mega Arbok: DEX (*4) + Survival (2) + Roll (2) = 8
Rhyxmplar: DEX (*4) + Survival (2) + Roll (1) = 7

Kyubi goes first, Heliolisk second, and Mega Arbok and Rhyxmplar move at the same time. EDIT: Redid the rolls and formula, turned out like this now. Any objections, before we start the battle?

"Oh, so now I'm trash? Despite having access to Mega Evolution?  Sir, you obviously give me too much credit...Rhyxemplar, show Ninetales exactly how serious we are.  Arbok, Coil, and how about we use their own sun against them?"  Reiner also breaks out the X Speed and uses it on Rhyxemplar!

Horn Drill on Ninetales.  Coil, then 2 Fire Fangs on Heliolisk.  One X Speed on Rhyxemplar.  (Going to leave the calculations to you this time since I'm still at work for the next 40 minutes)

Reiner's rather annoyed at that comment, but he doesn't lose his cool.  Yet.  "Ya know, you're REALLY lucky that Horn Drill somehow missed.  Arbok, wait for Heliolisk to reappaear, then use Wrap so it can't use Dig again.  Then follow it up with two Fire Fangs.  Rhyxemplar, Rock Polish, then try again."  Reiner pulls out a Potion and a Full Heal.  The Potion is used on Rhyxemplar as a safety measure (9/10 HP), and the Full Heal goes to Arbok.

Rock Polish
Accuracy: 6* Dex + 4 Fight + 1 Canalize + 1 Wide Lens - 2 Actions = 10 D6 (this'll put him at the top of the initiative no problem!)
Effect: +2 Dex

Horn Drill on Ninetales
Accuracy: 8* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl + 1 Wide Lens - 3 Actions - 7 Accuracy = 5 D6
Damage: Instant KO

Wrap on Heliolisk
Accuracy: 4* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl - 1 Accuracy + 1 Coil - 1 Pain - 3 Actions = 6 D6
Damage: 3* Strength + 1 Power = 4 D6 Base
Effect: Target is Blocked and takes 2 D6 typeless damage at the end of each round for 4 rounds. 2 D6 Flinch chance.

Fire Fang x2 on Heliolisk
Accuracy: 4* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl - 1 Accuracy + 1 Coil - 1 Pain - 4/5 Actions = 5/4 D6
Damage: 3* Strength + 2 Power + 2 Drought = 6 D6 Base

Effect: 2 D6 Burn 1 chance, 4 D6 Flinch Chance

Archie Sterling Round 2!

Reiner quickly applies the Full Heal and Potion to Mega Arbok and Rhyxemplar, respectively, garnering thankfull looks from both beast.

Archie just scoffs at your comment, unimpressed . "Do you really think I'll let you use such a move again? Kyubi, Disable Rhyxemplar''s Horn Drill, then use Fire Blast to melt through its iron clad defense! Do hold back enough not to kill them, though; I don't want to end up a miserable criminal like he is."

Kuybi barks an affirmative to his command, before her eyes starts to vividly glow, targeting the horn sword in Rhyxemplar's hand!

Disable
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 2 Actions = 8D6
(4)(5)(3)(1)(6)(2)(6)(3)
The horn glows a solid blue, Disabling it from preforming the move Horn Drill.

The ground starts to tremble beneath the metal Kaiju's feet, before the Heliolisk claws its way out and barrels into them!

Dig
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Brawl (1) - 3 Actions = 5D6
(3)(5)(6)(2)(1) Hits
Damage: STR (*5) + 3 + SE - Vitality = 3D6 / 2 = 2D6 + 1 Damage
(1)(2) Rhyxemplar takes 1 damage; 8/10 HP Remain, - 1 Pain

Almost immediantly after Raijin emerges from the ground, he is yank by Mega Arbok's tail, as it tries to pull him in for a little TLC from them...

Flitch: (1)(1) Snake eye strikes when you least wish for it.

Rock Polish
(3)(2)(2)(5)(3)(6)(6)(2)(3)(6)
Rhyxemplar's DEX is increased by 2 , now ties for first with Kyubi for top of initiative

The metal beast grunts as he shakes his horn drill sword, trying to get it to rev up, but to no avail. He returns the drill to its rightful place on his skull; looks like he has to wait before he gets another chance...

Kyubi, smiling maliciously at Rhypxemplar's wind being taken out of his sails, gulps down a DEEP breath, before spewing it back out as a terrifying explosion of flames at them!!!

Fire Blast
Accuracy: 10D6 - 3 Accu - 3 Actions = 4D6
(3)(3)(1)(6) It hits!
Damage: STR (*6) + 5 + STAB + Sunlight + SE - Vitality (*5) = 10D6 / 2 = 5D6 Damage
(4)(6)(5)(4)(6) Rhyxemplar takes 6 Damage; 2/10 HP, - 3 Pain (No damage deduction since the attack was made Non-Lethal); 1/10 HP, -3 Pain

Despite being now trapped in place by a extremely angry giant hydra, the Heliolisk still are totally chill as they just start glowing with power!

Charge
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Channel (*4) - 1 Pain - 4 Actions = 6D6

Burn: (2)(5) Nope
Flitch: (1)(3)(2)(2) Nope

Archie throws their electric god an X Accuracy he had hid in his other sleeve, and orders them : "Now Raijin, show them why I named you Thunder God! BRING DOWN THE WRATH OF THE GODS ONTO THAT MONSTER! But please tell the gods to at least not to try and kill it with their blow..."

Heliolisk catches the items and chomps into it with a board look on his face (+2 Accuracy) , before they calmly raised one of their hand into the air, holding it just for a second, before plunging it straight down.

Thunder
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Channel (*4) + 2 Accu - 1 Pain - 5 Accu - 5 Action = Just one dice; will it hit?
(5) It does.
Damage: STR (*5) + 5 + STAB + Charge (2) - Vitality (*5) = 7D6 Damage
(4)(4)(5)(4)(5)(3)(3) Mega Arbok takes 5 Damage; 7/14 HP, - 2 Pain
Paralysis: (6)(5)(1) Mega Arbok is also Paralyzed

The bolt, straight from the very heavens, crashed down and struck the hydra. *KRAAAAACK* His body briefly flashes black and white, like a broken x-ray machine, causing them to scream in pain, trashing around while Raijin was unaffected by all this. Regaining control of themselves, it let's out a terrifying multfold *HIIIIISSS!* at the deadly pest, before he clamps his flaming teeth into their body in vengeance!

Fire Fang 2
(3)(4)(4) Hits
(4)(4) Raijin takes 2 Damage; 4/8 HP, -2 Pain
Burn: (3)(3) Nope
Flitch: (6)(6) Looks like the dice want to make up with you now. Flitched

Wrap
(1)(6)
Raijin takes 1 Damage

Raijin's Leftovers kick in, restoring 1 HP...which is subsequently subtracted by the harsh Sunlight.

The rich bastard just chuckles as he watch your metal colossus hunk over and collapse from the burning pain. "My Ninetales can burn through any Pokémon, no matter heavily fortified they are. I admit you did some damage to Rajin, but that is only because you had to trap him in place to even land a blow in the first place. Pathetic. Once I take care of Mega Arbok and finish off that Rhyxemplar of yours, you will be finished, and at my mercy. How does it feel, when your plans turn to ashes, weakling?"

Current Status:

Ninetales: Fresh
Raijin: 3/8 HP, - 2 Pain
Mega Arbok: 7/14 HP, - 1 STR, + 1 Accu and Defense, Paralyzed
Rhyxemplar: 1/10 HP, +4 DEX , Burned
