[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
Alright, now Reiner was ticked.  He applies a Super Potion to Arbok!  "Mate, you're forgetting that I still have more pokemon.  Kingdra, cover Arbok.  I don't want a single fire move getting through to him.  Ninetales has already surpassed the League allowed four moves for the battle by using Fire Blast, Archie, so no additional moves for them. And if you break that rule again, it WILL be reported, based on the number of observers we've attracted.  Someone might already be reporting it if the authorities haven't noticed yet, for all I know.  Arbok, keep using Fire Fang until that Heliolisk faints.  Kingdra, focus on blasting that Ninetales with Dragon Pulse after Dragon Pulse!  I'm going to try and help Rhyxemplar with this burn."

Fire Fang x2
Accuracy: 2* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl + 1 Coil - 1 Accuracy - 2/3 Actions = 6/5
Damage: 3* Strength + 2 Power + 2 Drought - 4 Vitality = 2 D6
Effect: 2 D6 Burn 1 chance, 4 D6 Flinch Chance

Dragon Pulse x2
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 1 Canalize -2/3 Actions = 6/5 D6
Damage: 3 Power + 3 Strength + 1 SDF + 1 STAB - 4 Defense = 4 D6

Extinguish check! (Based on what information Iron gave in the Skull Ruins campaign when Porygon was burned in the Riff and Raff battle)
Accuracy: (8* Dex + 2 Survival)x2 due to helper = 20 D6
Note: Successes are cumulative.  5 total successes extinguishes the burn.

Side Effect?
Archie's broken League rules by having Ninetales use a fifth move during an official League battle...maybe the Police or Erika were either watching or will be informed by someone in the crowd? Breaking League rules like that can result in disqualification, after all...
Reply
(Its only you and Archie in front of the Rocket Casino right now; the streets are pretty empty here, actually. I did this so that BOTH you and him could get away with all sorts of stuff. Why did you think no one called the police the moment you robbed him? No matter, on with the show!)

Archie Sterling

At your comment, Archie does the unthinkable: he laughs at you, shaking his head and slapping his knee! "Hahahahaha, oh, that is hilarious. Perhaps you should try being a comedian: you are far better at making me laugh than actually pose a threat! Look around you! In case you haven't noticed by now, the street is empty! No one can stop me from metting out justice to a dirty thief like you, however I like! Besides, if you try and call the League on my actions, then I would just mention the not so inconsequential fact that you triggered the fight in the first place by assaulting me, stealing my private property and money, and refushing to give it back even after being asked several times. "

"I believe between me using more than 4 unique move in this match to your assault and robbery, the authorities would be willing to overlook my transgressions. If they didn't, they might think twice before pressing charge against a member of a Sterling family member. The last time some fool did that, we ruined them on multiple levels! With all those lovely facts in mind, here is what I think I'll do : Kyubi, dodge the first blow, then use Disable and Taunt on Kingdra to completely deny it any sense of agency. Heliodisk, Grass Knot on Kingdra at once! Show them no mercy!"

Kingdra's Initiative: (4) + 6 = 10
Kingdra will go after Mega Arbok, but before Raijin

Arbok fully recovers from its injuries, but sparks are still flying of its body! They are happy to be free of the pain, but not too pleased with that Heliolisk right now!

Kingdra, extremely upset over that spoiled rotten no good scoundrel, fires off a dreadfully powerful energy blast! Kyubi of course attempts to evade the attack, trying her level best to fufill her master's will!

Dragon Pulse
(3)(1)(3)(5)(6)(3) 2 Success
Kyubi's Evade: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Evade (3) - 3 Actions =7D6
(2)(5)(2)(5)(1)(3)(4) 3 Success

The wily foxes rolls under the blast, with the burst of energy sailing completely over her head. This fox just refuses to get a single hair on her pelt harm, huh?

Taking the opportunity to pay back the shock he gave him, they savage him with yet another burning bite!

Fire Fang
(6)(3)(6)(4)(1)(5) So close, but its only a hit.
(6)(5) Raijin takes two damage; 1/8 HP, - 2 Pain
Burn: (3)(1) No burn this time! Horray!
Fltich: (4)(5)(4)(3) Still no flitch

While this is all happening, you and Rhyxemplar attempt to smother at the flames that are licking up its body!

Extinguish Check
Its put out completely. Having giant heat sinks for hands really helps with putting out small blazes.

Once again, Kyubi's eye glow cerulean , as she attempts to totally lock down your sea dragon from doing anything of importance!

Disable
Acccracy: 10D6 - 4 Actions = 6D6
(3)(4)(1)(3)(5)(2)
Kingdra snout glows dark blue, preventing it from using Dragon Pulse for 4 Rounds

The dragon queen of the sea tries furiously to fire off another blast of energy, but to no avail; the Ninetales just mocks her for even trying by turning around and waving her tails in their face!

Knowing that its about to have its goose fried by this Hydra fixing to eat him alive, Raijin closes his eyes and focuses on dealing one last blow to Kingdra!

Grass Knot
Accuracy: 11D6 - 3 Pain = 8D6
(5)(4)(3)(3)(5)(5)(1)(6) The forces of nature heed his call. Critical Hit
Damage: STR (*5) + 4* - Vitality (3) = 5D6
(5)(4)(3)(4)(6)(4) Kingdra takes 5 damage; 4/9 HP, - 2 Pain

Grass bursts up from the asphault road, snaring the sea dragon as it thrashes wildly to break free of her binds! Kyubi just take the opportunity to slowly move towards it to gently touch it body with it tail, utterly toying with them.

Taunt
Accuracy: 9D6 - 5 Action = 4D6
(5)(6)(1)(4)
Kingdra is now Taunted

Seeing the dragon rage at its ministrations, they slowly saunter back to her former position, waving her tail at them every step of the way. Mega Arbok, even more pissed off at the fox then the last time she burned him (Which is say something!) , takes out his fury on the calm, serene Heliolisk

Fire Fang 2
(5)(5)(3)(2)(4) Hit
(5)(5) Raijin is knocked out
Burn: (1)(6) Its not escaping the Burn, apparently.

Even while being mauled by the giant hydra, all Raijin did was let out a sigh, and closed its eyes peacefully. Its fight was over; time for Coaltih to shine in the sun...

Raijin's Burn
(2)(2) Raijin takes 1 Lethal burn damage on top of 1 Damage from Solar Power; -2/8 HP , still smoldering

Tsking at thunder god passing out, he snaps his fingers, ordering Coalith to take their place. Like a compressed coil, it sprung onto the battlefield, very, very eager to finally join the fray! The pitch battled, the fall of friends and foes alike....it just got his blood to boil feverously! They were ready to obliterate everything that stood in its way, and maybe anything else that happen to lay around...

Coalith's Initiative: DEX (*7) + Survival (2) + Roll (1) = 10
Coalith goes after Kingdra

"Hmpt, so Raijin is knocked out now. Congradulations, it only took 2 Rounds of struggling for you to achieve that, while I have greviously wounded all your Pokémon several times over, knocked out your Rhyxemplar through firepower and attrition, and forced you to expend valuable healing resources. Honestly, you really should look into becoming a professional comedian. Every single action you have took has done nothing but amuse me, so gold staaaaar. *Clap Clap Clap* " It seems he's not too worried about his Heliolisk melting before his eyes. Wow, this guy really is a prick. A heartless one, at that!

Current Status

Kyubi: Still Fresh , +2 STR, 1st in Initiative
Raijin: -2/8 HP, Burning and dying
Mega Arbok: 14/14 HP, Paralyzed, 4th in Initiative
Rhyxemplar: 1/14 HP, technically out of the fight right now, but still has + 4 DEX
Coaltih: Fresh, +2 DEX, 2nd in Initiative
Kingdra: 4/9 HP, - 1 Pain, Taunted, 3rd in Initiative

Shoot...he was right...darn it, he was used to attracting attention like that, but he should have looked first...he was far too focused on the task at hand...he had no excuses, particularly since he was now suddenly an empath...Reiner is furious now.  Both with Archie, and with himself.  But while he's angry, he still has a battle to win.  And if nobody's around, that means there's nobody to keep him from messing with Archie, either...well, except Team Rocket, but Archie didn't need to know that...yet.

Well then...time to play the trump card.  The stare Reiner gives Archie could match a Mega Arbok's Glare, if not surpass it.  "Then I guess you won't mind if I do something even crazier and even more highly amusing then."  Reiner looks to the newly arrived dragon on the field.  "Coatlith, you really want to fight for this guy, who's letting his Heliolisk roast without a care in the world and frequently denied you happiness by preventing you from doing what you love most?  I can assure you that there's far more suitable trainers for a strong fighter such as you than him.  I might even be able to introduce ya to one or two, ya know.  I'm sure they'd make ya FAR happier than him.  I know strong dragons with a love for battle when I see them since I grew up seeing such creatures every day of my youth, and I also know when a pokemon hasn't been treated properly.  If you doubt my ability and care, look at my pokemon.  How many of them look particularly dissatisfied with me?  If you don't help Archie in this battle, I can promise that we'll find you a more suitable trainer for one who values their freedom and power as much as you.  On my honor as a Dragon Tamer, I assure you that my pokemon and I will do you no harm and help you find someone truly worthy of your might."

Back to the battle..."Kingdra, it's time for your most powerful technique.  Show that Ninetales who's boss, but do show them the same courtesy that we've been given."  And with that, he whips out a second potion and uses it on Kingdra! (8/9 HP).

"Arbok, you keep up the pressure.  Bite that Ninetales a few times, please.  Let's show him that there's scarier things than being set on fire."

Draco Meteor on Ninetales!  Non-lethal.
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 1 Canalize - 1 Acc + 1 Sniper + 2 Single Action = 10 D6
Damage: 3 Strength + 6 Power + 1 SDF + 1 STAB - 4 Def = 7 D6

Bite x3 on Ninetales
Accuracy: 2* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl + 1 Coil - 3/4/5 Actions = 5/4/3
Damage: 3* Strength + 2 Power + 1 STAB - 4 Defense = 2 D6
Effect: 5 D6 Flinch chance.

Side Effect
Reiner's playing the empath and Dragon Tamer card now, as well as his ability as a trainer VS Archie's!  Will the unhappy Coatlith continue to fight for a trainer he's dissatisfied with when one could potentially offer him a life that better fits his desires?

Archie Sterling Round 4!

Archie started to laugh even more once you complete the impassioned speech, holding his chest as he tried and falied to contain the mirth within him from bubbling out and escaping. "Dragon Tamer?! Hahahahahahahha! You are nothing more than a thief and a conman, and a poor one at that! Do you think you can convince Yggdrasil to turn traitor and defect to your side, you dirty rotten scoundrel?! Over....wait, Yggdrasil?! What the hell are you doing?! " he says, before noticing that his own dragon had stop what it was about planning to do (Nasty Plot) and was listening intently to your words! You felt his eyes peer into your very own soul, determining if you speak truly or not!

Reiner's Charisma Check: Insight (2) + Dragon Tamer/Convincing Arguement (*2) + Empathy (*4 [-2 Empathy for each Loyalty Point Target has]) = 7D6
(1)(5)(4)(4)(3)(3)(2)(6) 4 Success
Coaltih Loyalty Check: Insight (1) + Loyalty (3) + Empathy (0) = 4D6
(5)(2)(1)(3) 1 Success

Even with the distance separating the two of you, both Dragon Tamer and the might Tandorian Dragon, for a split second, share an moment of understanding. A desire to battle, to improve ceaselessly in all manner of things, suffering constant strike and adversity in order to reach the pinnicle of their power. To reign supreme, to be the unparalleled master of their craft! Yggdrasil turns their head over to their master, glaring at them with all of his disdain for trying to restrain his fighting spirit, to craft him into something that he is not . Throwing his head back in sudden aloofness, the grass dragon turns his back on his former master, no longer willing to listen to his commands any longer. Not when there was an opportunity for him to reach his...!

Ambush/Sneak Attack: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Ambush (2) [Being subbed for brawl, since this is a sneak attack) - Extra Lethal Damge Shot (4) = 5D6 Dice
(5)(4)(4)(6)(5) Extra Lethal Critical Hit
Damage: STR (*2) + 6 + Extra Lethal Hit (2) + Critical Hit (*3) = 13D6 Straight Damage
(6)(6)(4)(5)(6)(5)(5)(5)(5)(6)(4)(5)(4) ....

Yggdrasil head is blow clean off by a .500 Magnum Round, instantly killing him.

The dragon's body goes ram rod stiff for a moment, the body floating listlessly in the air for a moment, before his body plumments to the ground, dead to the world. Blood oozes from the chucky stump of the once might Coalith head, as Archie has a look of absolute fury on his face, holding a still smoking revolver in his hand pointed where his dragon's head was at:

" Die. If you refuse to serve me, then you shall serve no one else ever again!  And you...." the enraged rich man said, pointing his gun at YOU this time. "You couldn't win this fight fairly, so you had to turn my own Pokémon against me, forcing to put down my own precious Dragon to prevent them from falling into your wretched hands.  No one mess with me like that and gets away with it. Kyubi, do not hold back any further: roast that Mega Arbok with an extra powerful Fire Blast, and dodge that Kingdra's attacks, now!!!" Archie doesn't fire his revolver at you yet, though; looks like he wants you to see your Pokémon to suffer under his Ninetale's wrath!

Kyubi lets out a terrifying snarl, then inhales a staggering amount of air, inflating like a balloon, before releasing it into a searing wave of fire and death!

Fire Blast
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 3 Accu - 4 Extra Lethal Damage - 2 Actions = 1 Dice
(5) The tidal wave of fire completely engulf the hydra! Extra Lethal Hit
Damage: STR (*6) + 5 + Sunlight (2) + Extra Lethal Hit (2) + STAB - Vitality (*5) = 11D6 Lethal Damage
(6)(1)(5)(6)(1)(2)(2)(5)(6)(2)(6) Mega Arbok takes 5 Lethal Damage; 8/15 HP, - 1 Pain
Burn 3: (2)(1)(2) No Burns from that, thank god! (Burn 3 can override other status if the move is made Extra Lethal)

The giant cobra lets out a horrifying wail of agony as he is being roasted alive by the flame, until the inferno abats, leaving his entire sinous body charred and blackened from the attack! Extremely pissed off and reacting to his instinctive urges, Mega Arbok lunges straight for the fire fox, releasing Raijin's smoldering body onto the ground.

Bite
(6)(1)(4)(5)(5) Hit
(5)(1) Kyubi takes 1 Damage; 6/7 HP
Flitch: (4)(6)(4)(5)(6) Kyubi flitches from the shock of being damage!

Yipping from being actually damaged in this fight ( A rarity for the sliver fox) , she is too startled by the blow to dodge the rain of meteors summoned by the enranged Kingdra! The queen of the sea glares daggers at the cringing fox: its time for REVENGE! For Rhyxemplar, Mega Arbok, and her fellow dragon Yggdrasil!

Draco Meteor
(1)(4)(4)(6)(4)(1)(1)(5)(2)(6) The full force of the move hit Kyubi dead on! Critical Hit.
(6)(6)(1)(3)(4)(3)(5)(2)(3) Kyubi takes 4 Damage; 2/8 HP remaing, - 2 Pain

Mega Arbok rushes in to maul the Ninetales while its staggering around from that impact of Kingdra's barrage, wanting nothing more than put her out like the bad Fire type she is!!!

Bite 2
(4)(5)(2) Hit
(5)(3) Kyubi takes 1 Damage; 1/8 HP , - 3 Pain
(2)(3)(2)(1)(2) Nope

Bite 3
(2)(3) Kyubi barely dodges out of the way of the third bite, limping heavily from her injuries.

Kyubi stumbles towards her master side, wimpering in pain form Kingdra and Mega Arbok's assault and clinging to consciousness only by a thread. Archie nearly drops his gun in shock of the sight, his heart breaking seeing the pain Ninetales was in, but soon recovers and sends a nasty glare your way, letting out an impressive growl for a posh man such as he. "You...you... How DARE you harm my beloved like that?! Graah, if only you didn't take my Full Restores...Kyubi, return!" he say, recalling his companion into her Pokeball (A Luxery Ball, by the looks of it) , before throwing out another one and summoning an Abra! Motion for his psychic type to begin charging up a Teleport, his stare never leaving you, he says one final day before he leaves: "One day, whether it be next week or many decades from now, I do unto you what you have done unto me! I will personally see to it you will rue this day, and make you suffer one hundred fold for every single action commited here! Mark my words, your days are NUMBERED, YOU FIEND!"

Finish with his hate filled, vengeful speech, Archie Sterling teleported away instantly, without time for anyone in your party to react to the shitstorm that unfolded in this last phase of the conflict.

Everyone that participated in this battle gain, including Reiner, gains 12 XP. Reiner loses 1 Will Point, however, for unintentionally causing the death of Yggdrasil.

The sunlight began waning to a more bearble level now that Ninetales is gone, leaving everyone suddenly shivering from the temperature difference. Raijin is still passed out, but it seems that the Burn he suffered from was put out by the dust stormed kicked up from Draco Meteor, leaving him only with the Lethal Damage he sustained (2).

How do you react to this?

"Archie...you bastard...guess you're not talking to your artist, then...and next we meet, I hope you're ready to face the consequences of what you've done, and face the full might of a true Dragon...but first, let's deal with the Heliolisk you've abandoned and what's left of Coatlith.  Time to use one of those Hacked Pokeballs.  Arbok, I need you to use Acid Spray on Coatlith, get rid of that body.  Kingdra, clean up the blood afterwards with Bubble and Water Gun.  Though I'd like to give him a proper burial, we don't need any trouble over this."

Reiner pulls out a Hacked Pokeball.  This was a do or die situation.  If Heliolisk didn't comply, this could be bad, but since it was fainted, it'd probably have a hard time resisting recapture anyways.  And since nobody except Team Rocket was around, it was likely safe to use it.  "Heliolisk, if you can hear me, your trainer has abandoned you.  He's killed one of his own pokemon in cold blood.  He left you to die in the midst of that battle.  You might very well have left this world if I hadn't ended that battle right then.  I'm going to bring you with me, find you an owner that isn't nearly as cruel as that almost heartless jerk.  You deserve better than him."  Time for a snag!

The Coalith's body easily melts away from the concentrated acid, leaving nothing remaining but 2 Dragon Fang, a Life Orb, and a massive pool of blood and liquidized dragon. Kingdra's water type moves quickly wash away the remaining mess into the sewer system, leaving the empty street completely clean and evidence free from that horrid battle, besides the faint scent of blood and roasted flesh that would cling to the area for a day or two. Nothing that would call the attention of the authorities to you, though.

Raijin, somehow hearing your plea despite being knocked out, very briefly open his eyes to look at yours, before calmly nodding to you and passing out once more. The lizard always knew their master was a bit morally corrupt, but didn't mind it himself until he suffered the brunt of it. Time for a change of setting, hopefully one that was more peaceful for him... The Hacked Pokeball captures the badly burned Heliolisk without resistence, leaving you with just your Pokémon, the items you have gained, and a faint sense lost potential....

Dragon Fangs will sell $2000 each, due to their rarity and value to collecters/Dragon Trainers. What happens now?

Dragon Fangs and a Life Orb...all that was left of the once mighty Coatlith Yggdrasil...he would have enjoyed being a part of Team Rocket...he had the perfect attitude for it, after all...as much as Reiner wanted to hold on to of the fangs as well, he had more pressing matters to consider. He needed money, and lots of it, and he knew exactly how much Dragon Fangs were worth. And Emily...she could be in danger now, too. Maybe. Depends on if Archie was still feeling generous towards her, because while Reiner had made good points, he'd also pissed off the prick something fierce...

He'd deal with it though. He'd been through worse. The threats of some rich guy who was obviously only a moderately skilled trainer didn't bother him too much.

Pocketing the items and money he'd nabbed, he headed back in Emily's direction. Time to tell her the good news..and a little bit of the bad, maybe...and stop at the Pokemon Center as well. Can't have two pokemon that had taken Lethal Damage and a tank on one HP, after all.
Reply
On the way to the Pokémon Center, your Arbok (Refusing to go into his Pokeball, despite his injuries) reverts back to his base state and Sheds his skin, leaving you with yet another lucrative snake skin to sell to the right buyer... Rhyxemplar stayed out as well, even more resolute in his desire to protect you from harm. If a punk like that rich kid could do this much damage to them, who know what else could harm his master? When you arrived at the Pokémon Center, the station Nurse Joy gasped at the sheer amount of abuse that had been subjected to your Pokémon, and rushed forward to retrieve them for immediant medical treatment (After some convincing from Reiner). "What in Arceas' name did this to your Pokémon?! I haven't seen burns this bad since my time in Medical School, and even they don't compare to damage exhibited here! Sir, if you can please tell me who caused this, I would be more than happy to file a report to the police for you. We can't let criminals get away with something this horrendous!" Oh, the irony.....

After you presumably tell her about that rat bastard's battle behavior (Carefully painting a story that would leave you completely guiltless in the incident), she rushes off to began the skullduggery of paperwork on this event, and you receive your Pokémon a few hours later, fully recovered and ready for battle! You leave to go search for Emily in her usual spot, but when you arrived she wasn't there. In fact, nobody was in the general area, as the crowds have shifted back to the central hub of the festival at this point of the day. However, Weavile and Felicia were able to find something with their cat like senses, something that set them on edge: a few drops of blood, almost completely faded by what looks to by...fire damage.

"You bastard...there's no reason to take it out on her...I should have just come straight here...but he would have probably just gotten her later anyways..."  This...this was low.  She wasn't even involved in any of this.  Not directly.  Archie was going to pay double for this...

'Mew, are you able to pick up any additional information on what happened here, or help me do so?  I know you're still not fully recovered from our battle, but ANYTHING would be appreciated.'

With no one else around, Mew springs forth from your Pokéball in front of you, giving you a serious stare and a firm salute. 'I should be able to do a reading for lingering bursts of emotion around the area, along with using my powers to illuminate any blood that might have been cleaned up or burned away! I...don't want your friend to be hurt because of this, Reiner. She doesn't deserve to be harmed by your enemies, least of all so wannabe rich bad guy!' she says, before her eyes lite up as she conducts her psychic scan of the area. Almost immediantly a large, glowy and translucent blood spatter appear around the remain drops of blood, along with a trail of ghostly blood that lead down the street and into the allies. The divine cat picks up and conveys to you the recent emotional imprint on the area: Fear, Danger, Wrath, Hatred, Panic, Flight, Fight. The feelings where most intense near the Dogwood tree and bench she sits and conducts her artwork at, and start diminishing the farther away from the 'epicenter'.

What do you do now?
