 I had planned to say that I was following Ven and Nate right when the thread was on pause, whereas it was already a bit late since they had gotten into the gym and had many word exchanges. Windos might have wanted to know if I were coming along or not.
 And then I forgot to check when the thread had opened and when I so came, there were already 2 new pages with posts.

What would happen if you cancel or loose the battle, could we still leave Corsage and maybe you two can return to a later point to Corsage by Teleport for a re-challenge after becoming stronger?

I'm being serious here. Curse as it we do it is far too good to use, with very little drawback. In the base rule, it takes Will to use, which is a great drawback, but here it has a basic accu roll, which sucks for us. Combine that with randomized damage to the ghost that uses it, and its just a shit move to have inflicted on you. Minimum damage to anyone that uses it would be FAR more fair for us, as they suffer a set, definite price for it. Otherwise, the gamble is entirely in their favor for rather minimal costl

Honesty, Iron. I ]really am considering quiting this fight, and just ignoring Chuckles forever more. This isn't fun or challenging to play against; its becoming a chore. A dull, far too luck based chore. Hypnosis and Wil-lo-wisp are fine, but Curse as it is...its terrible for us.

Shed Skin should also be accounted for, but then Curse is likely to take that away, so so much for that...

No, if I quit now, I am never fighting him again. Period. Their are other gyms in Chesire, ones that have less painful obsticales to overcome.

No, if I quit now, I am never fighting him again. Period. Their are other gyms in Chesire, ones that have less painful obsticales to overcome.

Good choice. Shiva would welcome you with sympathy... She only needed to take one look on the Gym Leader's picture in the Guidebook to know that this guy was serious business. And that she would prefer to have as much distance between him and her as possible.

I have my opinions, and I'll leave it at that. We may be winning, but I'm not having fun/a good experience, and if that isn't a failure of an encounter, I don't know what is.

Curse takes away one success per roll, from one opponent, at the cost of HP. The big strength is that it affects damage as well as accuracy, so it's like having Charm and Smokescreen up at once. Also, in the base rules, Pokemon have their own Will reserves so it's not a very big cost to them. I think you are making a big deal out of nothing.
