[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(Just a note: you don't have to keep asking what I want to do next.  It was a good effect at the start of this whole encounter, I feel, but it's getting a little repetitive now)

"It's fine, Emily.  It gave me a chance to explain what happened to Lilith.  I doubt you wanted to hear a retelling of what happened to you.

"So, I have a little good news, first of all.  When I said Lilith is a near unrivaled traveling shopkeep, I meant it.  She's going to get you that Porygon you wanted in exchange for all the coins you'd been saving up.  Tonight.  I'll be picking it up later along with something else I ordered from her.  And she's also going to help us out with dealing with Archie, so there's a chance you might not have to go into hiding for too long."

He looks rather sad now, though...

"There's one other matter I need to ask you about before you answer the questions I posed to you a moment ago, though...what do you want to do with Smeargle?  We can leave her there for a bit and try to discreetly give her a proper burial later, or we can avoid all the problems that might cause and dispose of her body immediately using my Arbok's Acid Spray, as well as clean up all the blood around here with Kingdra's water attacks.  It's a mess back there, Emily.  Her body has already started decomposing, and I don't know if you want to see her in such a bad way after seeing her take a bullet directly to the chest..."

(Alright, no more transition like that! I aim to please!)

Emily perked right back up with the mention of getting that Porygon she wished for, and she definitely had a big, wide grin at the declaration that Archie was going to get what was coming to him, but all of that positivity vanished when you brought up Smeargle. Her head was right back to being tilted downwards towards your lap, and she was quiet as a mouse for a long time, before she finally spoke up. "I want to see Smeargle, mister. Draw one last picture of her....before Arbok melts them away. She would want to be remember as she was, preserved in my artwork forever, rather than rot under the ground. She...she wanted to be cremated when she died, but...but I guess this is the next best thing...."

She finally withdrew her head from your lap, and you both saw and felt the resoluteness that graced her expression, with tears threating to cascade down her face. She wasn't going to back down from this choice of hers, no matter what you tried to say to dissuade her. Before she got up from your lap, finally free you legs and allowing you to stretch the numbness out of them, she answered one of your questions from earlier. Namely, what see wanted to do after her death and subsequent revival. "Mister....do you mind if I stay with you for awhile?  At least, until that no good motherfucker is punished by that strange sales....lady? We can stop by my parents house and tell them about this, so that they don't have to worry about me too much. I want to keep them safe, but I don't want them to panic over me disappearing....I'll make sure they don't blame you for this, so don't worry mister...."

"I was going to suggest something like that since I also had a little time to think about your options again, since Archie might not be a threat to you for too much longer.  I'll walk ya home, we can explain things, and then I can drop you off at the Pokemon Center on the way back here to pick up Porygon.  And if you want to see Smeargle one last time, then so be it.  But like I said...it's not pretty.  If you thought it looked bad before, it's a whole lot worse now.  Though I'm sure you'll draw a beautiful picture of her.  Though your last one is a bit covered in blood, it's one of your best ones yet, I feel.  I think that friends are some of your best possible inspiration for drawing."

Hmmm...he thought he was forgetting something...oh, right. The clothes.

"One more thing. Lilith also brought us both a change of clothes if you want to get out of those wet ones. I had Kingdra wash off the blood with Bubble while you were snoozing. If you want to change, you can do that while Arbok and Kingdra clean up around here, which is what I'll be doing. I'll have Felicia and Mew keep watch for ya as well, just in case. There could be a lot of things in these alleys, after all..."

Emily gave you a small smile at your declaration of that mean old douchebag's days being numbered (You can only hope so, anyway), another bone crushing hug when you agreed to shelter her for the time being (Your Ribs!) , before nodding her at your offer of getting a fresh change of clothing. While her current dress was no longer a gory article caused by Archie's vengeful crusade, she reeeaaaallly didn't want to stay in them any longer than she had to. It felt like she was wearing a dress to her funeral, or like that scary girl from that movie she watched on a dare. Brrr......

The girl took her pallet of clothing and went behind the curtain helpfully provided by Lilith, with Felicia and Mew following after her to guard her from that side. Wigglytuff trotted over and took his positon as guard from the other side, puffing up in size to ward of any scevy prevent or malicious attention. No one was getting past him, and he would stake his life on it! Again! You took the liberty to clean up the scene with both Kingdra's help and the bleach provided by them earlier, and had the chance to change into your own parcel of clothing if you wish. Once everyone and everything was taken care of at the 'murder' scene, you escorted her back to where Smeargle's body layed, and you were correct to assume that the body's condition had gotten worse. I won't go into detail, because less said is better!

She almost vomited at the sight of her beloved friend in such a state, but she swallowed down her bile, flipped to a new page of her bloodied art (thankfully dried into a non-sticky mess), and began the task of sketching Smeargle's memorial portrait. Checking in on her every now and again, you noticed that her artwork had suddenly improved tremendously , to the point that it was starting to remind you of that Ninetales painting Archie showed you earlier. You are not sure whether or not Mew's powers of creation gave her a sudden boost to her natural talent, or that her grief was the catalyst for this development, but it was damn impressive work regardless. After 30 minutes , she completed her friend's portrait, before turning around and quietly showing you it. "What do you think, mister? Did I...did I do a good job with this? I...don't want to mess this up, so please be honest with me, mister..."

The picture showed a simple scene, but it was all the more poignant for it. It depicted Smeargle in exquisite detail, resting against a Dogwood tree, surrounded by a field of wild flowers. They were resting, eyes closed with a couple of apple cores surrounding her, belly nice and full. Altogether, it was nice, peaceful picture, and it showed them as Emily wished: Happy and content in her life...and death.

She quietly hustled to your side, and watch unflitchingly as Arbok and Kingra melted and cleaned up the gruesome corpse of her cherished friend, gripping your hand tightly the whole time. They then lead you to her house, a rather plain apparent suite in one of the many towers that dotted Celadon City, and lead you to meet her parents. She introduced you to them as her best friend and savor (Garning a some raised eyebrows and apologetic looks for your shake...at first), before she immediantly launched into what happen to her today. Suffice to say...they almost had a total meltdown, and threatened to call the police several times about this, but both you and Emily (Using both your natural and unnatural charm) to convince them to let you and your 'friends' handle the situation. They were quite obviously unhappy with this plan of, but they instinctively knew that this situation was so far over their head, they wouldn't have even recognized it had they not been informed, and so gave their blessing for you to take care of their daughter for the time being.

"Protect her with your life, you got it? I don't EVER want my sweetheart daying young again, you hear me Reiner? I don't care if your some top notch trainer, if a hair on her head is harmed, I'll hunt you down myself," he father said, before kissed an hugged his daughter good-bye, along with her mother, and watch you two leave for the Pokémon Center. Upon arrival, you escorted her to your personal room the center (Reserved for you by Giovanni, just for this mission), and instructed in whatever ground rules you had for staying here (if any). She agreed, and went straight to your bed and passed out, with Wigglytuff marching over to her side and resuming his duty as bodyguard.

And here you are, watching Emily recovering from her danger wrought and extremely traumatic day, peacefully dozing under the sheets.

It is now Tuesday Dusk. All encounters listed earlier are still available, but Erika has not returned. You do see two of prime pickpocket targets (An AceTrainer and Private Investigator), which you can also challenge to a battle if you wish (Both are Moderate Level Encounters, and have a $2000 Poke Reward, along with 1 Pokémon from each). The Light stand is now open, and the Tamayaki Stand has begun a sale to get rid of remaining food before closing shop for the day.

Smeargle Scene

"It's spectacular, Emily.  Almost as good as Archie's personal artist's work.  You keep pouring your heart and soul into your art like that, and you'll even surpass her, I'm sure.  You'll be the envy of every aspiring artist out there eventually.  Now then, let's clean this mess up and get out of here..."

Parents Scene

"I didn't have Mew bring her back just to see her die again.  She's got a lot ahead of her in life, and she deserves every chance she can get to achieve her dreams.  I'll also see if I can get her some good gloves and contacts and/or glasses to hide those new physical traits she has from that Doduo.  I know this is all pretty hard, but trust me, it's better off that this all remains quiet.  You don't want the Sterlings nor the League raising a fuss over something like this.  Or anything, really.  When it's safe for her, I'll be sure to let all of you know.  You have my word as a Dragon Tamer with the Blessing of Mew that she'll stay safe so long as everything we just discussed remains a complete secret out of necessity.  And know that you have a friend in me if you ever need anything.  Your little girl is something special, and I'll do my best to protect and nurture that from my side of things."

Pokemon Center Scene

'Heh.  All things considered, they took that rather well.  Having Mew around as proof, as well as Emily's...strange new characteristics probably helped.  Now then, time to start making my way back to the alley to pick up that Porygon and jacket, and see if Lilith has anything on hand that might help Emily with concealing her new physical quirks.  The Center is the safest place she could possibly be in right now.  It's good that she understands that, and that I'm a little too busy right now to be here 24/7.  I'll have to check on her during the day, of course, just to be sure, so that's going to cut into my work hours a little...but there's not much other choice right now.  I'll need to keep a close eye on the Center while I'm out and about...in fact...'

'Mew, can you possibly keep an eye on who's coming and going from the Center for me?  If there's anyone suspicious in the time I'm gone, I'm going to need to know immediately.  I don't expect there'll be too much danger since this is a highly public, extremely high security building and the door to my room is going to be locked at all times, with Emily only leaving it if she needs something from the cafe or similar, but we are dealing with the Sterlings and Malcolms still, after all.  They might still find a way if we don't keep a close eye on things.'

Smeargle Scene

Emily wanely smiles at your praise, happy that she didn't screw up on this particular piece, but couldn't find it within herself to be too delighted. After all, the subject of the picture was her Smeargle resting in the after life... "Mmm...I'm glad. Now I have a picture to remember my friend at their very best, and be reminded of the wonderful time we had together.... Rest in Peace, Smeargle..." She goes silent at the remark, and let's Arbok and Kingdra begin the clean up process.

Parents Scene

The father looks you dead in the eyes, his steely gaze measuring the worth of your words, before nodding his head. "This is a lot to take in, and the fact that I'm almost powerless in doing anything useful to resolve this situation rubs me rawer than you can imagine. I want to so desparetely keep my little girl safe myself.....but I have accept that any help I might be able to provide is meager, and might cause more harm than good for Emily's wellbeing. I damn well don't care if your a Dragon Master like Clair or Lance, or have the power of the Legends at your fingertips. It means nothing to me, in the end, as long as you hold your promise and keep my daughter safe. When the danger is over.....please return her us. I don't want this...this horrible, miraculous event to EVER repeat itself. Please.....take care of her, and help along the way if you can. Despite how dangerous you are, you have been an objective positive influence on my daughter."

Pokémon Center Scene/ Now

Mew, who had only briefly revealed herself to Emily's parents to add a certain degree of undeniable authenticity to their story (And to telekinetically keep the phone out of their mitts until they calmed down) , summoned herself into the private confines of your room, sending out a psychic pulse that detected and friend the Rocket Camera system that was hidden in the walls (And subsequently causing Proton to start swearing profusely). She then turned towards you, and nodded her head, consenting to your plan. 'I can shadow Emily and the Pokémon Center, and telepathically report about anyone suspicious or dangerous that might pose a threat to them. I'll try to keep her out of trouble or harm, but worst case scenario and can reveal myself and scare off any suspect individual. Most would think twice before crossing ME, even weakened as I am right now. But not everyone would know that, hehehe! Of course, if I had full access to my powers, I could set up psychic wards around the place and/or teleport you to her or vice versa, but I'm working with what I got here!'

Whether or not you agree to Mew's course of action, you depart for the ally ways, but find no trace or sign of the Merchant just yet. It appears that they might need more time (Another Encounter) before you can re-meet with them and complete your earlier transaction. Crafting custom body armor and acquiring a rare Pokémon on such short notice is quite time consuming , even for the egnimatic figure such as they!

'Keep me updated, and keep her safe.  I'll address any questions Team Rocket has for me about this in the morning, as they'll undoubtedly have at least a few.  Alright, I'm heading out.  Be back when I've got Porygon and the jacket.'

Hmmm...as he expected, he was early...welp, better kill some time...hmmm...the last thing he wanted to do right now was something risky, seeing as the Malcolms might be around...he needed his pokemon to stay in top form, just in case...that drug addict who'd had the Balm Mushroom looked like he was loaded with interesting stuff...and like a really, really easy target.  Worst come to worst, Felicia could always just hypnotize him and they'd likely get away scot free because he wasn't likely to remember anything.  And even if he did, nobody was likely to believe him.

Mew gave you a thumbs up (or at least a close facsimile to one), before hovering above the sleeping Emily and suddenly going invisible! Apparently, she has not lost that part of her repitiore . Perhaps you could convince her to help the other cats out in their thievery later....

Remembering that Hippie Druggie from yesterday, you sent your cat burglers over their to scope him out, and nab any valuable they can get away with!

Weavile's and Felicia's Tag Team Thievery!
(1)(2)(3)(3)(6)(1)(1)(1) + (4) For it being night time! Well crap, look like you luck is against you this time, mate!
Shroom Dude Alertness: Insight (*5) + Knowledge (3) + Alertness (*0) = 8D6 Dice
(4)(1)(4)(2)(5)(1)(2)(2) 2 Success

While the Shroom Dude would appear to be a pushover when it comes to theft, apparently the drugs he was doing now gave him EXTREMELY heightened awareness, instead of putting him into a trace state like last time. The moment Weavile tried to lift a interesting 'medicinal' from his sales mats, the druggie's narled hands batted the feline away, causing him to back up from the man. When Felicia moved in to try to Hypnotize him and salvage this cock up, she only received a smack on her head for her trouble, sending her realing back in pain. She was quite confused and startled by this, as she was staring him right in the eyes while using the move, but it had no effect!

'That should have worked! I was staring RIGHT AT HIM, and he didn't fall asleeop? What kind of drug is he wired on right now?!' the she cat thought, as the hyperaware looking man stood up and cracked his neck side to side, before droning out in a very 70s Hippie Accent voice: "Noooow that iisn't niiiice, cooool caats, tryiiiing toooo swiiiipeee my product. Loooooks liiikeee I haaaaveeee stoooop chiiiillling ooouuut aaand deeeaaal with yoooou twoooo nooow. Toootaaal buuuzzz kiiilll, maaaan." The druggie then sent out a Breloom and Shiintonic, putting his hands behind his head as he passively observe the ensuing fight!

Initiatives:

Breloom: DEX (2) + Survival (3) + Roll (5) = 10
Shiintonic: (2) + 5 = 7
Weavile: (1) + 5 = 6
Felicia: (3) + 5 = 8

Breloom goes first, Felicia second, Shiitonic third, then Weavile last.

'Okay, all of a sudden, this doesn't seem too worth it.  I'd have to KO him to get anything useful out of him...bah, but I need to get something other than that Heliolisk out of today...alright, time for plan B.  I still doubt anyone will believe him anyways...and those are some really rare pokemon, too...Team Rocket would appreciate them, I'm sure...'

"Felicia, Fake Out on that Breloom, followed by a non-lethal Slash.  Weavile, Icicle Crash twice, targeting Breloom first.  Evade if that Shiinotic tries to use put you to sleep.  You'll get backup in a moment, but I want that Breloom KOed ASAP."

Fake Out on Breloom
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl - 2 Actions = 7 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 3 Strength + 1 Technician = 6 D6 base
Effect: Target Flinches.  +1 Priority

Slash on Breloom
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl - 3 Actions = 6 D6 (crits if Felicia gets 3+ successes since she's holding the Scope Lens)
Damage: 3 Power + 3 Strength = 6 D6 base

Icicle Crash x2 on Breloom
Accuracy: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Brawl - 2/3 Actions - 1 Acc = 6/5 D6
Damage: 3 Power + 3 Strength + 1 SE = 6 D6 base + 1 damage (plus half of the first landed attack's damage due to Ice Gem)
Effect: 3 D6 Flinch chance

Evasion (replaces an Icicle Crash if Shiinotic tries to put Weavile to sleep.  Also might want to refer to the Chuckles battle in Skull Ruins for this one, because I think I misremembered how it worked in Skull Ruins due to not seeing it used in awhile...)
Evasion: 3 Dex + 4 Fight + 1 Evasion - 2/3 Actions = 6/5 D6

Reiner will send out Arbok when possible.  Yeesh, his team really doesn't have much for mushroom pokemon when you don't consider Arbok and Mew...

Shroom Doom Round 1!

Before anyone else could react, Felicia rushed forward in a burst of speed, intent on startling the Breloom out of its first action!

Fake Out
(6)(2)(1)(3)(2)(1)(3) Nope

The punching mushroom, however, was unfazed (Or too stoned, it hard to tell) by the Shiny's scare tactics, and nimbly dodged away from the blow, before they spat out a flurry of seed at them!

Bullet Seed
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (*2) + Brawl (3) -3/4/5 Actions = 4/3/2 D6 Dice
Damage Per Hit: STR (4) + 1 + STAB + Miracle Seed (1) + Techincian (1) - Vitality (3) = 5D6 Damage per hit

Bullet Seed 1
(5)(1)(2)(5) Hit
(4)(4)(4)(4)(3) Felicia takes 4 Damage

Bullet Seed 2
(1)(4)(5) Hit
(3)(5)(3)(6)(6) Felicia take 3 Damage, and is Knocked Out!

Breloom held its fire as the feline thief, with several hard round seeds embedded in her coat, wobbled around weakly for a moment, before collapsing onto the ground, passed out from the painful barrage. Youch!

Shiintonic, knowing that Weavile was gunning to bring his fellow fun guy down a few peg, bounded over to them and showered them with:

Spores!
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (1) + Channel (3) - 2 Actions = 4D6 Dice
(6)(5)(6)(5)

Weavile tries to get out of the way, as he well knows the dangers of sleeping on the job!

Weavile's Evasion
(6)(1)(2)(5)(6)(2) So close, but....
The black cat gets a heaping helping of baby fungus despite some impressive footwork, putting them to Sleep

Rubbing their hands manically and crackling at the snoozing cat, they focused the radiant energy coming from the night sky, before unleashing it on the vulnerable feline!

Moonblast
Accuracy: 6D6 - 3 Action = 3D6 Dice
(6)(5)(2) Hit
Damage: STR (*5) + 3 + STAB + SE - Vitality (3) = 6D6 + 1 Damage
(6)(3)(1)(3)(4)(4) Weavile takes 4 Damage; 3/7 HP , - 2 Pain
STR Drop: (6) Weavile loses one STR as well

Seeing that the whole battle was turning into a drug induced bad trip, you quickly recall Felicia and summon Arbok in their place, causing both mushrooms to take a few harried steps back as they let out a terrifying hiss at them. Oh dear, not a Poison type! The hippie adjusted his sunglasses and took a better look at your snake, before they shook their head. "Duuuuude, we doooon't dooo snaaaaakeeee veeeenooom, maaaaan. Iiiif thiiiis iiiis yoooouuuur waaaay oooof reeeepaaayiiing meee, theeeen iiiiits noooot woooorkiiing . Beeeteer choose sooomethiiing eeelseee, beeefooreee my shrooooms geeeet neeervoooouus, maaaan. Yoooouuuu wooouuuld noooot liiiike thaaaat."

Arbok's Initiative: (6) + 5 = 11 Arbok goes first in the round.

Weavile's Awake Check
(4)(5)(5) Needs only two more success to wake up!

Current Status:
Breloom and Shiintonic: Fresh
Felicia: KOed
Weavile: 3/7 HP , - 1 STR, - 2 Pain
Arbok: Fresh
