Because she'd be devasted to hear he couldn't be with her because he's not interested in females (she missed Ventus dealing with Socchi back then). But she is smart enough to get that he seemingly is not straight.

I do hope so, because he was being completely sincere with you in that conversation. He cares a lot about you, even if it has not completely verged into dating territory juuuuust yet! I wonder how Braixen reacts to receiving the incense, though! It is both fragment and something highly burnable, which would appeal to the mystic Fire type.

If Shiva's ask him, he'll tell her about that their pansexual orientation, but he'll be uncomfortable talking about it, since while he knows Unovians have more generious feelings towards abnormal orientations, its still not something that is brought up often!

That is his fault for not listening closely, and clamming up after hearing about what Ventus PLANNED to do. I didn't expect Nathan to react so poorly to a little teasing and joking from Ventus. He should know that the researcher has a rather wicked sense of humor, given the scare he gave the boy at the aquarium... Now you got my character worried about your chara's mental wellbeing now. Oh dear, he will never find a moment of peace again, so it seems...

Nathan doesn't respond to Ventus's question.  What was there to hash out about it, anyways?  He tries to refocus on the training and not think about the utter humiliation...

Omph, that cold shoulder stings! Ventus grow ever more concerned about his friend....but will leave him alone for now. He know that disturbing him while they are in one of their 'moods' is a terrible idea, judging from the chaos that it always causes the group. Give them time, give them time...

Oh, he wouldn't have to talk about it, just coming out is more than enough. Shiva might be suprised, but not in the bad way, and rather appreciating that he trusted her enough to tell her about it. Her own orientation isn't really a thing for her and not worth mentioning unless he'd ask directly. In fact, I fear she doesn't even know in-character that her views are a real orientation...


Oh my, there's again tension developing between Ventus and Nathan. It became some sort of running gag. This time, it's a thing between those two however, Shiva will be relucant to get involved. But she's there someone would need comfort. Unless she's stuck in a severe depressive episode that hinders her to cope, she's still capable to be there for the others. C:

Yeah, Nathan's not really in the mood for talking right now...not with Ventus, at least.  Not sure what else you expected to happen.  Nathan's a strong guy in a lot of ways, but he doesn't respond well to negatives hardly at all.

Also, with only an Insight of 2 and Kirlia too distracted with him to help analyze the intent of the question, the hidden meaning completely went over Nathan's head, so that didn't help either.

This was one of the responses I expected, but the other one I was looking for was Nathan to acknowledge him with either a yes or no to his proposition, so that Ventus doesn't have to start becoming pushy/mother henning/nosey right away. If he said yes, Ven could have waited until Night or a break in between encounters to make amends and actually lay out the play while Iron works on the next set, and if no Ven could just wait a day or two before proposing the question once more.

Now Ventus is forced to twiddle his thumbs and make a gamble of whether or not to approach Nathan later . If he wins it, things either get resolved or at least on track of being so. If he loses though....BOOM! Another meltdown from either of them, or yet another instance of the Vitrolic part of their Vitrolic Friendship coming to the for front, and being a waste of time for both of us. While I like roleplaying stuff mostly, I do openly endorse meta gaming (Like so) if it just makes things smoother for our characters in the long and short term.

Its how we navigated the Teleport Near Incident AND The Partial Reveal to your character, keeping all of us in and out of game happy as possible WHILE ALSO being productive and working towards completing own personal objective and whatever Iron lays out for us to accomplish. Playing you character TOO much, like in this instance, is wonderful in some cases, but can cause detrimental effect that neither of us want, but are saddled with if we truly want to be IC the majority of the time.

I had to start curbing Ven's pathologically hatred and fear of magic/arcane/fae/demonic and become less 'Shot first' because most of the party are steeped in those practices now and are decidedly non-aggressive, and if I were to entirely play my character straight or do gradual changes, then he would pretty much be a complete odds with almost everyone for a LONG time... Even if Nathan responding right away would be abnormal/not in character, it can still be done within reason and prevent the trouble I briefly outlined. A small sacrifice, but I think its worth it for the both of us. Or at least I think so, based on my logic. You have insight that can change this, so I freely welcome it, as two minds are (often) better than one!

Then I'll just have Ventus give the boy plenty of space until we reach Winesberry, so that nothing bad can possibly happen until then! Afterwards, though...well, that depends on how things unfold. Hopefully beautifully, like an origami lotus, but it could always be a trainwreck! Though, since Ven not going to definitely find out just why Nathan is giving him the cold shoulder now (though he has a pretty good idea as to why), he might end up showing those pictures to his mother anyway....

On a different subject, how do you think Wobbuffet would function in our Pokerule game, with all the rule changes and modifications? I'm not sure myself, but I've always like the concept of the blue demon, death to all Pokémon! Mwhahahahaha!
