A Dragonair...with Extreme Speed...only true Pokemon Masters could ever hope to see such a rarity...they're Blackthorn's most valuable pokemon...not even Lance himself owned one of these...receiving one was a remarkable sign of trust that the trainer was a good one...and this one looked particularly well bred on top of that...

"You're not the first to say that about me this week, though I'm not sure if you'd believe me if I told you who was the first...thank you, Lindworm.  Truly.  Trust me, the elders aren't going to know what hit them.  My influence in Team Rocket is all but guaranteed to be notable at this point.  All I have to do is survive this week without any assistance from the team, basically."

He holds up the Dragonair's pokeball for reference.  "These dragons are the perfect motivation for leading an assault on Blackthorn itself if I need to provide a good reason, so showing the boss just how strong they are would be a good way to start when it comes to convincing him it's a good idea, loathe as I am to say it...I might despise the elders, but my respect for dragons and pokemon in general is unchanged.  It's why I rose though the team's ranks so quickly."  He pockets the Dragonair.  He'd introduce himself a little bit later.  Emily would probably quite like to meet the elegant serpent as well.

"You be ready for that call to action when the festival ends.  It might come sooner than you'd expect.  If I need your assistance for things outside my current missions, I'll let you know."

Lindworm gave you a firm, put a fist where his heart was and said to you : "May the blessing of the Great Dragons be upon you, Reiner Arendse. I wish you luck in your conquest of Blackthorn City, and that, one day....perhaps of Team Rocket itself. Until we meet again." The Dragon Trainer then rapidly departed from the area, taking his breakfeast treats with him and disappearing into one of the many back ally that connect the city like vein to the arties. As you were busy with your conversation with Lindworm, Rhyxemplar was a small distance away, doing his given duty and glaring at the not so secret watch Grunt of Proton, who was visably sweating at the menacing metal monster! Weavile and Felicia took the liberty to 'check out' the goon in question, taking their time while they were nervous and distracted.

Encounters: None have changed what so ever. Have at them!

Before leaving the cafe, Reiner takes a moment to peruse the documents his cats had just snatched from the grunt...well then, looks like Proton has been busy...and sweating quite a lot from all the trouble Reiner had been causing him.  'Just like old times, eh?  Heh heh...Proton, you and I both know the trouble I'm gonna cause you is far from being over...we're still only a third of the way into the festival, after all.'

Pocketing the spoils, Reiner makes his way back out into the festival to see what his options are...though now he needs to be keeping an eye out...the Malcolms could be up and about by now...though he didn't expect to actually run into them until Nightfall, unless he were to purposely head to an isolated area to try and draw them out...hmmm....

You see no signs of butch detective turn vigilante, nor do you get any indication that they might be in the area. However, you do have the premonition that, while they are not hot on your trail (And not disrupting your Encounters), its only a matter of time before they show themselves....

Encounters: Unchanged for the most part, but Angelica seems to be watching you more closely, and so is her Chansey! Looks like caught wind of something, but they are not acting on it for now...

Hmmm...that Chansey could be a problem...there was enough heat as it was right now...he'd made a little progress with both pokemon and cash without raising much of a fuss, though, so he could afford to lay low for a little bit to throw off that rotund egg lover.  It'd give him some time to both check on Emily and introduce himself to Dragonair as well...besides, if he was going to check on Emily, he'd have to do it before Malcolm cottoned on to where he was...he still had to talk with Mew about his new psychic powers as well...

So that settled it.  Back to the Center for the time being.  A little break from the action shouldn't hurt much, right?

Felicia's eyes lite up at such a glorious treasure, the sight of the babble of wealth taking her back to the hey days of her youth, when she was once but a ignorant but beloved Mewoth, under the care of her master. This treasure will be hers and her new partner, and perhaps it will cause that handsome black cat of his to take more of an interest in her.... Weavile, for his part, was also estatic in stealing such a bountiful treasure, but he was also distinctly aware of the ravishing look Felicia was giving him, and quickly made haste to your side once more. Oh dear...

The fact that they just stole that man's personal property only makes me more concerned and certain that something is off. If you could explain why your Pokémon acted as they did, then perhaps we can clear up this matter without having to take a trip to the Police Station?"

She smiled apologetically to you, and flipped out her badge to you, showing her name and role in the police force. Her Chansey was behind her, giving you a serious-if-highly-curious-look, but it didn't look like they didn't mean you ill. "Hello, sir. Reiner looks over at Weavile and Felicia.  Particularly Felicia, who's holding the Big Nugget currently.  He sighs...

"...not again...I'm terribly sorry about this.  You know what cats can be like, I'm sure.  Particularly Meowth and Persian when it comes to very shiny and valuable objects.  I've only just recently acquired that one there, and while she usually listens to me, she can be a little...eager to please, if you catch my drift.  Spending a few years living as a stray will do that to most anyone, and she'd been one for who knows how long before I found her and gave her a home."

"Eh?  Oh, hello there, officer.  Hm?  My pokemon stole something from someone?"

Reiner looks over at Weavile and Felicia.  Particularly Felicia, who's holding the Big Nugget currently.  He sighs...

Angelica looks to believe you completely at first, giving you a sympathetic look, before their Chansey nudged them to get their attention. She looked down at her partner, and they waved their arms up and down before pointing at Weavile and Felicia, letting out a few confused and wary noises in the process. The Chancey then pointed at YOU, and let out a curious growl, before crossing their arms and staring at you once more. Nodding her head, the officer turned her gaze on you yet again, and she now had another apologetic smile on their face.

"You story is quite reasonable, sir, and I can tell that Persain of yours has had a wild life in Celadon, judging by how weird and grudgy it looks (Felicia let out an affronted hiss at the unintentional insult) , and Weavile, while rare around here, are known to be a handful even for experienced trainers. However....my Chansey gets the feeling that you are all hiding something from me, and while I know that my partner's species can be a tad bit....intrusive in others people's business, I do trust their judgement in these situations. So would you mind if they do a reading on you? They may not be a Psychic type, but Chanseys are highly Empathetic , so they should be able to clarify this situation once and for all. I would only take a minute, and it won't hurt at all, so if you please?"

The Chansey walks up to you and sticks out one of their hands, giving you that same serious yet curios look.

(I double checked all of Chansey's dex entries.  The species isn't really described as being 'empathic,' with only Pearl's 'dex entry even providing a hint that they could be.  And even with that one, it only says it won't share its eggs with those that have evil hearts, which is rather vague)

Well then...an 'empathetic' pokemon reading an empath?  This could be interesting...Reiner was no stranger to hiding his emotions, after all.  If he wasn't, he wouldn't be able to function in public.  And Chansey aren't perfect empaths either, unlike, say, Ralts.  Or himself, for that matter...yeesh, that was still going to take some getting used to...it was a wonder he was able to stand this close to the crowds right now...

"I'm well aware of their ability to sense evil hearts, seeing as you see them so often in the Pokemon Centers.  Even seen them turn away a trainer or two before when they came to pick up their pokemon after they'd been brought in by a kinder soul.  I wouldn't say it's the same thing as empathy, but whatever description floats your boat, I guess."

Reiner doesn't really see any reason to not cooperate.  The officer was being completely reasonable, after all, and he wasn't really outright lying about anything he'd said either.

When you reached out to grasped Chansey's hand, their body went ram rod stiff, and their eyes glazed as they were soon lost within the depths of your unfathomable brain. You don't consciously remember all of what MEW's power showed, but that didn't mean it doesn't heavily permiated the subconscious of your mind, and you definitely know that surge of godly power radically change how and who you are on a fundenmental level. To be blunt, your mind was a strange, elderitch thing now, almost beyond the comprehension of most other Psychic and Empathetic Pokémon. Almost. Instead of that being true and driving them insane/blowing their minds apart, it locked them in a trance for the time being, becoming completely unaware of everything but the inner depths of your very being....

Angelica, sharing a strong bond with their Pokémon, was also subsequently put into a dazed state, but not nearly to the extent as her partner...for now. "Siiirrr.....whhhaaatttt.....iiiiissss....haaaapppenning? Chansey aaaannndddd IIII ffffeeeellll wwwwiiiieeeeed. Aaaaahhhh....."
