[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(08-08-2017, 11:12 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: There won't be a new set of Encounters, well, unless the next in-game Day starts. Please let me reply to that text wall of Ven's speech before that as soon as I'm back from work, I'm not fully done with the Day yet, for easier reading I would not enjoy having to flashback to it.

Aww. Hugged by a Wobbuffet~

The thread is not going anywhere, my darling, so don't feel rushed to complete a response. Since Ventus headed to bed once his of the conversation was finished, thought, he is not going to respond to whatever your chara says next. At least, not for awhile.

Oh, it's alright that he went to bed, but Shiva won't just let him leave him without a goodnight's kiss on cheek hug. ^^

These hounds that were chasing you - well, you're save from them now. I doubt we'll see them again ever, they don't belong into this world. I only saw them briefly before I focused on you, but that was enough to recognise them as strange nightmarish abominations... Well, I don't want to see one of these ever again. You're safe and here with me, lil' Espurr, and that matters more to me that finding out what kind of Houndour these were. I'll also look into whether we cannot tamper a little with your massive psychic powers and lead them into the right channeling..."

Hmmm...yup, pokemon totally don't belong in this world...

Nathan probably won't fault Shiva for thinking like that though, but hopefully him having Orthros doesn't cause to much damage when Shiva eventually finds out...

Alright, it's indeed an issue Nathan has to clear with himself then.

Besides, I was thinking about buying some Gourmet Food for 150$ in the next town for Azurill to enjoy... Then I remembered those St. John's Wort capsules from the pharmacy in Corsage. Then my weird mind got the idea of why not mix some of these meds into the Gourmet Food, and THEN serve it to Azu... Since Shiva in-character is into herbology, it's not that unreasonable that she might get that idea. Question would be though, Iron, would it have an increased effect on Azu's fragile confidence and happiness? Would it have an effect at all, even if it'd be just placebo effect? Or are these meds for people, worst case scenary, toxic for the kind of Azurill?

Well, Nathan and Ventus are keeping the secret in the first place until she fully calm down from The Nightmare World and her mental state restablized. When that happens, Ven will probably approach your chara and ask fro him to reveal Orthros to the both of them to weather the 'experience' together. @PhantomUnderYourDesk , when do you think Shiva will be 'fine' enough that she can handle the dream demon? Ginger Town, Trillum, or by Stair City? Sooner or later, Nathan is not going to keep hiding it from them forever...

Aww, Shiva is contemplating her first morally questionable act, and its drugging her Pokémon, a highly deviant act at that! Team Rocket might have a use for you yet....and Unfettered Ventus would be so proud of you!

Oh, and Ventus is going to foist you off to Nathan soon to start doing damage control/mend his wounded soul. He can't do it, and knows you are capable, so have at it!

Well, mostly it just means that Kirlia is focusing more on Nathan directly than trying to solve the issue in a roundabout way, I think.

But yes, this is mostly just a Nathan issue which he has to come to terms with when we get right down to it.  A little help getting there would just speed up the process by quite a lot, that's all.

Oh, she wil DISLIKE that Delta Houndour to bits, avoid it, and be cold as ice to it. Mixed up with being terrified by it. That's all for her reaction towards Orthros that I can think of for now. Nathan is independednt from the Pokemon, but by all his reasoning for it being a new species and him being excited of having discovered a new subspecies of Pokemon, Shiva in-character will never understand why he had to catch it and dragg it into out of creepy dreamland. :/ Kyuu will be scared as hell of the Houndour unless Gamemaster decides otherwise and given me a good explanation for it, which isn't helpful at all.

Can't really given a place when she will be ready for the revealing of the Delta Hundour, it's more a thing of her mental state and how it developes.

Hey, it's just St. John's Wort, nothing more than a plant extract, she isn't 'drugging' poor blue mouse... :C

Ventus hates the dog and considers it an abomination that should have been killed the moment it stepped into reality, but he understands Nathan's fascination with the beast and his capacity to care/train/raise Pokémon, so he's willing (If HIGHLY reluctant) to let him own it without much protest on his part. If Nate can prove to reform Delta Houndour and make it a nice dream doggy, then Ventus will be eating a heck of a lot of crow and have to change his behavior on it drastically, but until then he'll treat it with cold indifference unless it tries to mess with him and his Pokémon. Then he'll start making subtle threats to it, like flexing their hands at them, as they very well know what they are capable of....

Both our character dislike the dogs, we both have a similar way of handling it, and we understand why Nathan caught it. The only difference in our approach to it is that Ven is giving it a sliver of a chance and trust in Nathan's judgement and descision to keep it, even if he disagrees with it in the end. Quite a drastic change in him, he who would raze flower fields and attack friends with Pokémon...
