I'm actually fine with whatever solution, @Iron, as long as NONE except Ventus and Braixen know what happened there at the spot and nothing happens to Braixen himself apart from his now everlasting hate for Ventus. My fox, my future furry mage that I was so delighted to be gifted to play with by Gamemaster...

Braixen is a fox lol. Masks mean nothing to him. You still smell like the same old Ventus. And Pokemon can recognize individual Pokemon, so he'd also know it's your Arbok. Plus he sensed that you were up to no good, so simply putting 2 and 2 together, he'd EASILY know who this masked jerk destroying his home was.

But it's all moot; Braixen will arrive too late and slink home without interacting with Ventus. This will simply leave a permanent, irredeemable mark on Ventus' record with the magical fox.

And Shiva wouldn't find that intense hatred for Ventus odd at all?  That wouldn't be something that would escape Shiva and Kirlias' notice, and it would be a little too intense and long lasting for it to be due to a minor offense such as the theft Shiva suspects Ventus is attempting.

I'm down with that. C: My fox hates the person his Master considers a close friend (Ventus), while Ventus himself has a hidden romantic interest in the person who is the Master of the fox that hates him. Seems legit.

Please keep in mind that 1. Kirlia barely to not cares for anyone that is not Nathan and 2. the fox is a magical fox, practically a wizard, and Ventus hates that. Fox is not inclinged to care for Ven as much as his Master (Shiva) does. Of course she will notice, but she won't spy or hunt for answers.

I finally found in the rules where it counts out how many enemies are affected by mass moves: it's exactly equal to your Special. So yeah, 4 is pretty good.

Agree that Kirlia won't care - he doesn't care about the den, about Ventus, or about Braixen. Selfish love.

Nathan and Kirlia can be suspicious all they want, but Ventus is going to stick to his story like super glue to just about anything but WD-40 , and just accept his new role as arch nemesis of Braixen. It wouldn't be the first Pokémon that he has pissed off like that before, due to his hyper aggressive and paranoid/phobic actions, so Ven will just take it in stride, and react appropreiately if the fox tries to get revenge on him or his Pokémon. Ven won't kill them EVER (Keeping in mind his own words), but he'll make it clear that attacking him is against their better interests...
