"Alright, I've had enough. Gligar isn't showing any signs of waking up in time. They both need to get more exercise!"

Ventus obtained $500. 4XP for everyone involved.

The empath politely took the offered Poke from the sports man, giving them a smile (Not that they could see it) and said: "If I may make a suggestion, I suggest high altitude and acrobatics training for your Gligar. Performing complex maneuvers at sufficient elevation show get their blood pumping, and inure them to the stress and exhaustion that flying for prolonged periods of time, and make them more resistant to being put to Sleep as a result, hopefully. I bid you farewell, and a good showing at this year's running, good sir!"

Abaddon, extremely happy with yet another handy victory, started to cutely cheer in excitement, flaliling around with noisy, warbling joy! Despite the racket, the blue demon antics were both Charming and strangly enthralling to both him and nearby onlookers! (Learning Wynaut's Egg Moves for 10 XP total, as agreed upon earlier!). Michael himself was brimming with energy, sending out a flurry of kicks in the air and letting out fierce battle cries, clearly hungery for more action! Ever attentive to the emotion of his family member, Ventus turned his gave away from his other child, and chuckled at the determined look that his shroom was giving him.

"Ah, so one battle wasn't enough for you, my brother? Very well, let us fight another challenger that can truly test your natural power, perhaps one that has a type advantage towards you? Let's work off that exuberance, my martial mushroom!"

Order: Place a $300 Poke wager to fight a random Pokemon that has a type advantage against Grass. Decay and enervation will rule when Michael enters the battlefield!

Nathan's in an incredibly foul mood now.  What about 'stay out of my personal business' did Ventus not understand?  He'd tried to be nice about it in the text.  He'd tried to warn him that there were multiple people/pokemon that were likely to be extremely irritated with interference in something he has no business in.  He'd tried to warn him that interfering would likely result in causing more trouble than lessening it.  And he'd tried making it COMPLETELY clear that his help was not wanted in this matter at ALL.  There was just no reasoning with him...so Nathan just wasn't going to try any more.  Period.  Ventus was not going to get anything except an extreme cold shoulder from him and Kirlia until further notice.  And if he tried to interfere during the run, he was going to get what was coming to him.  It wouldn't be the first time runners would have gotten into a fight over a rare pokemon if the pokemon in question didn't down one of the runners immediately.  Probably the first time it would be due to an Absol, but eh.  Even one 'mistake' would likely delay Ventus enough to keep him away from Absol until Nathan had dealt with the issue...

All this and more is going through Nathan's head as he waits for Shiva...ugh, yet another day off to a 'spectacular' start...and last night had been so relaxing, too...this is exactly why he hadn't wanted to get out of bed this morning...

Ventus challenges a trainer with a majestic Pidgeot. Michael is angrier and more energetic than usual, and always practicing his stubby kicks.

Michael: (4) + 5 = 9
Pidgeot: (2) + 4 Dex + 1 Survival = 7

The somewhat amateur Research Pokémon Trainer rose an eyebrow at the Scout summoned a Pigeot on the battlefield, and was a bit astonished by just how energetic his martail mushroom was right now; he was practically oozing machismo to his empathetic senses. Despite the lopsided odd, neither he nor his brother was going to back down from this fight, not when they are this amped up! "Salutation, madam. Are you here for the Running this year, or do you have other activites that need be done? In any case, let us spend the time together have a most wonderful battle together, and see if a type disadvantage will be challenging enough for my Shroomish. Michael, [B] began raining down Spores on that majestic bird of prey, then try to knock it down from the air and follow it up with an kick to the solar plexus on them! Show them your indominable fight spirit, my brother!

Order: Michael will use Spore 3 times per round on Pigeot until its Asleep, then their next available action will be to attempt Knocking Down the bird from the sky, and then Striking it where it hurts. If trainer tries to wake the bird up, Michael will just spray them down with another burst of Spores. Pause if anything ruinious or significant happens, as in this case Ven's mushroom is fighting stiff odds indeed!

Moves:

Spore
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 3/4/5 Actions = 5/4/3 Dice
Effect: Nighty Night!

Knock Down
Accuracy: 7D6 - 3/4/5 Actions (Depending on when its first used) = 5D6 if its the first used move on Round 2, 4D6 if its used right after the 1st Spore move of the Round, and 3D6 if its after the 2nd Spore
Damage: STR (1) + 0 = Just 1 Dice
Effect: Knock down target, which in this case means that Pigeot going to be grounded AND suffer a - 1 Accuracy penalty. Wonder if its Flying type will be effective if its not in the air, though...?

Strike
Accuracy: 7D6 - 3/4/5 Actions (Depending on when the move is first used) = 5/4/3 Dice
Damage: STR + 1 = Likely just 1 Dice
Effect: None, unless you want to give it a bonus for targeting a vital point \_( 'u')_/

Day 24 arrived!

Shiva awake at the normal time this morning. Not later, not earlier, and she made it to get at least some hours of sleep and one phase of deep sleep for completeition. Having Cottonee by her side as well her shed fluff as an extra pillow soothed her a lot, and possibly prevented her from sliding down in her mood when there was actually absolutely no need for misery.

There was one thing Shiva clearly realised though/experienced first-hand when formerly there was only an assumption that it's true: Whenever you are lonely, down or simply not okay, a close and beloved Pokemon is always there for you. Is that...something only a Trainer would experience? Something one learns only while traveling a region... Likely.

After completing her own morning rituals to a decent amount, she served her Pokemon breakfast, only Dry Food today. This time though, she'll stay around and watch. Yesterday evening she heard no fights or riot among her Pokemon/Comite did not cause a ruckus that she might pick up from bathroom and being forced to intercept. Weird... the astral rock even came close to her on his own, something Shiva NEVER expected. However, given that she was still somewhat wary of this particular Pokemon, mostly because she barely knew anything about it and therefore was unsure how to handle it properly AND this Pokemon was likely way too heavy for her lift, it was Azurill with her Huge Power in the end who gave Comite that desired ride.

So, sliding over the orchid-patterned plate to her companions, Shiva resumed to distangle and brush the split ends of her hair before tying the bow of her outfit out of a pitchblack ribbon with bright yellow ends today, resembling another Eeveelution she's close to. And taking TWO of each meds she received at the pharmacy in Corsage. She needed that now if she doesn't want to break. All while silently keeping watch over how her Pokemon behave and interact with Comite. As soon as they finished and expressed themselves ready to be recalled, Shiva got herself a heart and directly turned to Comite. Carefully, but with clear intentions. "So... I haven't introduced myself to you yet, have I? Well eh, Shiva is what they call me, and I had the luck to encounter you in the wild. I'll be your Master from now on, and while I sadly know little about you, I'm willing to learn and provide everything you need to grow and enjoy my company. A-Alright? So... You allow me to touch you?" Carefully, she extended one hand into its direction, expressing the intention to carefully stroke over an area below the pinkish stone Comite partialy consisted off.

(Betatesting things between Shiva and that astral rock now, @Iron! )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As usual, it took a little before Shiva arrived at the Lobby since she has a dorm on the highest floor, still something that was her free and own choice. First thing she did upon arriving there was thankfully accepting Braixen back from Nurse Joy! Fox was all healed up and has been added to her party. Placing Helios onto Bill's PC, she withdrew that female Nidoran in return. She disliked having her in the party due to the ordinary Poison Type, but she needs that since a stop-by at the Trading Post at the camp was on the agenda for today.

Before that could happen though/before she leaves the Center, she also stopped by at the Cafeteria for the usual coffee in the mornings. (Today: Mildly strong brewing, double-dosed sugar). She has just turned around and made attempts to head over to the Lobby, when she spotted Nathan out of all costs alone at a table. O-Kay... She didn't expected to see him this morning, especially since she was somewhat late (interacting with Comite took its time) and he actually should be training for The Running. Looking around, Ven was nowhere to be seen.

... It wasn't hard to spot that he was not okay at all. Something was definitely wrong with him, was it fear of participating and the potential Absol appearing? Whatever it was, looks like the Trading Post and the Daycare have to wait a little.

She didn't approached him right away though. She headed back to the Cafeteria, only to arrive at Nathan's table a few minutes later. She didn't just arrived there though, Nathan would look up as he'd hear the sound of a glass being placed on the table and slid over to him, upon further investigation it was filled with brightly-coloured orange juice, possibly mixed up with Sitrus Berries for the taste. Before he could comment anything on it though: "Greetings and good morning. I know that you don't enjoy coffee, but a few more vitamins don't ever hurt, do they?"

No words came from her however as she joined him on the table, neither did she say anything for a while. Just enjoying coffee alongside him while Cottonee, outside of the Pokeball for the time being, placed herself close to Shiva on the table.

... Finally some words came from her in a soft a voice. Dierctly nailing it. "So... Nathan, you're not good at all at hiding it when something ails you. What is wrong, is it still the issue you told me about yesterday (participating and Absol), or something else? Or... " She moved a little closer to him and lowered ther voice, "...have you seen Ventus concidently this morning and triggered his protector-feels as you told him about your participaton?"

This was nothing more than an assumption/the most logical believe why Nathan was somewhat not okay. Whether his was true or not... Well, Shiva cannot know that for sure. She also has not much time to talk than she'd actually wish for due to plans for the day.

Nathan mutters a 'thanks' and takes the orange juice.  Arceus, Aotius, Mutios, and Mew all know he certainly needs something like that now...Kirlia gives Shiva a very appreciative look.

Nathan's silent for a moment as well when asked the question about why he's not doing okay.  When he does respond, it's in an incredibly annoyed tone.

"...I triggered that last night, remember?  It's the entire reason he changed his mind abut joining the Running.  But NOW he's taking it too far and refuses to stay out of something that doesn't concern him at all...I've warned him he'll make it more dangerous than it would be otherwise, that there'll be multiple entities that will be displeased with his interference, made it crystal clear that Kirlia and I don't want his help with actually solving the issue, and he STILL won't back down, all because he's an unreasonable worrywart...Kirlia and I will be fine.  It's everyone else, including himself, that he should be worrying about..."

Comite allows himself to be stroked. He hums at a strange frequency as you do so. His body seems to be either stone or pure energy - there's no soft component.

Scout Naomi Round 1

"Pidgeot, be careful of all powder moves! Blow them away with your wings - they could be Effect Spore or Spore! Get in a Gust when you can!"

Spore
(1)(2)(5)(3)(6) - 2 successes
Evasion: 4 Dex + 3 Fight + 2 Evasion - 3 actions = 6 dice
(1)(5)(3)(5)(4)(5) Pidgeot refuses to fly through the cloud of spores!

Gust
4 Dex + 3 fight + 2 canalize - 4 actions = 5 dice
(2)(1)(4)(4)(6) Hit
2 Str + 2 power + STAB -4 vit = 1d6+1
(3) Michael takes 1 dmg

Spore
(6)(4)(1)(5)
Evasion: (4)(1)(4)(4) Pidgeot evades again!

Michael begins glowing with energy. He is frowning at finding it so difficult to get his spores so high up. The light bears him about a meter off the ground, and long limbs grow out from his shroomlike head! When the light fades, Shroomish has become a Breloom! Congratulations!

Spore
(3)(2)(6) Pidgeot is out of actions, so that's a hit.Pidgeot falls asleep!

Insight: (5)(4) 2/5 successes.
Michael restores 1hp with Toxic Orb.

For some weird reason, Shiva was enjoying direct contact with that astral rock. She was entirerly unsure why, it could be either the fact that this Pokemon was a real rarity, didn't backed away from her, the strange frequency gave her pleasant shivers or that she could literally feel the energy that ran though Comite. This all brought Shiva to a very coy smile.

She withdrew her hand after a while, not wanting to stress things. "Thank you. So... Does that mean you will obey me when I'll call you for a battle?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She was totally unimpressed by that annoyed tone coming from Nathan; eager to listen, but not up to get herself riled up into a fury. Angering her wasn't that easy at all, but when it does happen... Well, things won't be pretty. Nayway, for now she was glad to see that Nathan wasn't refusing nor rejecting her and her attempt to reach him - funny thing when it's actually him who should approach her if he wanted to rebuild some trust, but she guessed he's just not the type of person who does such a thing. Alright then.

His words were heared and accepted, it took a while until she replied though. After he has finished, she only stared at him in a non-intimidating way from both the rim of her glasses as well as over the edge of her cup of coffee. Considering how to say it the best, while trying not to fret too much over this mild insult towards someone she greatly cares about and considers a close friend.

"... ... ...he is no 'unreasonable worrywart', Nathan. It is true that he has issues and a strong STRONG will to protect someone he cares for from anything that might pose a threat, but that is the way he is and it won't ever change. You know how he has none except his Pokemon and us, you know what he had to endure in his past. I personally find this side of him...endearing."

She stayed silent for a few minutes, watching the other people in the Cafeteria with her mind seemingly far away daydreaming or repeating song lyrics telling of ten million Illumise, before *cough* bringing her attention back to Nathan.

"However, I can see why you are angered by that, it's nothing to feel bad about it. You seemingly gave your points and this only made him more eager to join you... Oh well... Listen, I cannot promise you that I'll make it to dissuade him from his plan nor reason him, but I'm pretty sure if I approach and talk to him, he will AT LEAST listen. Is that fine to you? I wanted to go to the Trading Post now and then to Daycare for you-know-what as well as refreshing some knowledge for the exam needed to get a Breeder's Lisence, but if you tell me where Ven went to, I'll get to him. Alright? Possibly around evening I should be back here at the Center."

Stunned for a moment at Michael transformation into his final, fierce fighting form, Ventus stared at his truly martial shroom for a few seconds, before he let out an exclamation of pure, undiluted joy, pumping both arms in sudden feverishness! 'After so many weeks of journeying, enduring trail after trail and facing the toughest foes imaginable, my precious brother has reached his ultimate power! This might not be the most opportune time for it, given he's currently fighting against a Flying type, but does that really matter to either of us? Michael has never been one to step down from a challenge, no matter what odds he might face or how excruciating it might be! Besides, he was able to face a Gyarados with hardly any trouble, so I don't think a Pigeot will pose much of a threat to him!' he though, barely containing himself from bursting in peels of happy laughter over this achievement. When the battle is over, then he'll celebrate in earnest, but not a moment later!

"Michael, you did it! You have reached the zenith of a Shroomish powers, and gained even higher limits by transforming into a Breloom! Now is not the time to luxate in our accomplishments, however; you still have that majestic bird to face down, and now you are even more vulnerable to its gale force powers! Before it awakens, cripple it even further with Stun Spore and Leech Seed, before Tackling them with full force, only holding back enough not to outright KO them. Reveal your supreme power to the world, my kick boxing champion!"

Order: While the pigeon turned falcon still asleep, use Stun Spore on them to hobble just about every aspect of its performance, before Seeding it and then Tackling them. If either Stun Spore or Leech Seed miss, use each of them until they proc. Time to see if this Grass Fighting type can take the wind of its archnemsis' sales!

Moves

Stun Spore
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 3 Accuracy - 3 Action = 2D6 Dice, 1D6 if it need to be used twice
Effect: Parylze the target

Leech Seed
Accuracy: 8D6 - 1 Accuracy - 4 Accuracy = 3D6 Dice, 2D6 Dice if it misses
Effect: 1 Dice is rolled against the target, and any success made cause it to take 1 Damage, and Michael to gain 1 HP

Tackle
Accuacy: 7D6 - 5 Actions (For this round), 3/4/5 (For the future rounds) = 2D6 Dice, 4/3/2D6 for future rounds, assuming Stun Spore and Leech Seed proc
Damage: STR (2) + 2 = 4D6 Base
Effect: None
