I think Dragon meant a Tauros, which had a specific bounty. All other species caught are just $50 automatically. Skrelp was another one with a bounty, and a Dragonite if that were likely.

So Ventus gets $250 Poke (Abaddon, Heatmor, Hanael, Tauro, Absol) + whatever is the Bounty is on Tauros? Just want to be sure about this, you know!

Hmm... @Lord Windos, if Nathan would not have told us about his participation and held his Training in secret (however, I feel like he wouldn't keep this a secret from us), Ventus would have never participated as well, right? He'd be impossible to jump in to help Nathan in time if he would be not present and close-by on his own. This could be a point.

I don't think we can ret con things THAT far back, my love, not without disrupting several days worth of post over this kerfuffle between me, Dragonstrike, and Iron. Basically, the only sensible way I see Ventus not continue being Ventus is if he's prevented from leaving the Running at all, and therefore being unable to 'help' Nathan out at all and doing what Iron accuses me of deliberately undermine Dragonstrike's efforts, when I honestly don't want to do anything of the sort. *Sigh* I just trying to play the game you set out for me, not actively ruin it for others guys...

Windos, interfering with Absol in ANY way could make things go horribly, horribly wrong very quickly. Both with Nathan and whatever Absol is trying to show him.

I think the easiest solution to this immediate issue is just keeping Ventus from catching up before Absol and Nathan reach their destination (there's a chart for movement speed based on Dex in the book, and Espeed triples those values). While using Extreme Speed, Raphael is moving twice as fast as +1 Dex Swiftfire. However, that can only be done in short bursts, while Swiftfire is on the move constantly. I don't think Ventus can catch up if Nathan is riding Swiftfire (and also assuming Absol has 4 dex to move just as quickly as Swiftfire is)

Stop using "my character would do it" as an excuse. I try to compromise with you to let you act protective, but YOU, Lord Windos, know that you are making the situation worse for Nathan right now. And that's not fun. Everything else is just hooey.

I want you to keep this in mind from now on. This is a game of teamwork. It's ridiculous to make the GM micromanage everything Ventus does just to let other players have a chance to succeed in their goals. I've said it before and I'll say it once again - if Ventus can't play the game of teamwork, then he can't play at all.

This is hooey. It doesn't help Nathan or Dragonstrike to harass the Absol. You even went so far as to cripple your own character ("I'm too caught up in the moment to use my empathy") just so you'd have the chance. Why??? That doesn't contribute to the story. It doesn't achieve your own character's goals. If you wanted to be protective, you'd go along and help him out with what he's trying to do when the chance arises. I don't get it. It's become a running theme for Ventus to do something everyone else hates, after a long and tangled justification for how it's what your character would do. Half the time you'll outright harm people just to have the chance to try to help them, like when you threatened to fight the party over killing the Rattata.

Not to mention we all agreed during that Rattata encounter to keep party conflict to a minimum, for the sake of everyone's fun!

Do you see why this is a problem? If not, Ventus cannot be a player character in this campaign. I don't know how much more plainly I can put it. Sorry.

Oh, hey, Windos, no, I wasn't saying that we should edit things THAT strongly. It was in theory. Like, thinking out aloud (I'm actually not doing this) after seeing how you and Iron where about to argue. :C Please don't be too sad, okay?

Uhm... @Lord Windos, maybe it'd be a good idea to take care not to overplay your chara? Like, keep his mother henning and overprotectiveness because it's an important part of him, but think about the consequences of it out-of-chara (or in-chara if you wish). Or if not that or/and to help on this, stay close to Shiva and listen to her if she tells you it's a bad idea what he might plan to do, because she..well, you see how she is deperately trying to keep the group together and has a high interest in continueing this. I wish to keep you in this campaign, you know...
