[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Essentially, Ventus is lovely guy to know and be aquanted with, and is about the one of the best friends a person can have (Those connections and cunning mind are powerful!), but he's a REALLY hard person to get along with the more you learn about him, unless you can form + KEEP an emotional attachment, and his amoral/Unfettered tendeacies only serves to push others away unless they are of a like mind...

Hmm... Initial thougt that I feel like sharing, it seems to me like Shiva managed to form and keep(!) that emotional attatchment, since she's always coming back to him, which he returns. I also like how Ven never stepped too close to her and annoyed/summoned an ice-cold reaction so far, which Nathan did accidently twice. ._.

Well, unfortunately, Nathan is still rather inexperienced with this whole 'friendship' thing when it comes to other humans, even though he's had almost 4 weeks to try and get used to the daily human company.  His strongest bonds are with his pokemon, primarily Kirlia.  He can handle pokemon just fine.  He knows each species has specific needs/wants and that it's not too terribly difficult to provide for them, and he's had far more time bonding with Ralts/Kirlia than anyone else outside his immediate family.

It's those daily relations with Shiva and Ventus that trip him up.  Two vastly different people that are far, far more complex than any pokemon.  Brief interactions are fine.  You won't see Nathan have any problems with Miller since things are progressing more gradually without any negative interruptions so far.  He knows where he stands with Miller, Flick, that Mega-Pinsir using Scimitar, etc.

Trying to socialize with Shiva and Ventus has been a veritable emotional roller-coaster for Nathan, though.  And it doesn't look like that's going to stop any time soon since there's just so much going on between him and the two of them.  It doesn't help that he's feeling a little left out again, and though it is partially his fault currently, there is still the other major factor between Ventus and Shiva to consider among other things...he could use a confidence boost in the socializing department.

On a different note, I find it really odd how similar Nathan, Shiva, and Ventus are while still being completely different as well.

Ohhh, what 'other major factor'?~ Haha, nope, Nathan shall not be excluded or put in a backwater just because she and that oddball of researcher become more than dear friends sometime. I don't think much, if not anything, will change about the interactions to and with Nathan just because of that, at least that's what I'll be aiming for. I actually was fine to have she and Ven remain close friends, but then it came otherwise - I have soft-planned what could loosely be called a 'definitive move to Ven' from Shiva's side.

I also feel like Nathan could silently learn a few things about socializing and friendships by observing her patterns and actions... She seems to be fine in both, just prefers to not play herself into the spotlight and desires to avoid heated conflicts within the group. If they're already present, keep them from tearing the group apart. Can be exhausting and frustrating in-chara, but I kinda enjoy this niche of hers still.

Besides, I'd prefer if we depart in direction Stair City on Day 27, please, despite Windos technically already ended his Day. Even if for no other reason than Shiva as well as her Pokemon need some pleasant rest and overnight stay to become battle ready again.

Also thought that Nathan would have finished his call with Mum by now, but due to Iron being appearantly being occupied I can't wait any longer, do forgive me on this. Heading to Game Thread now to continue Shiva's day before I have to leave the house.

 I'm going on a school trip to England tomorrow, and I've been busy packing as well as 'living'. Which explains some of my inactiveness. But anyway, I'll be gone for 10 days.
 I know, it's much. I won't be able to post anything and... yeah, sorry.

 If that's still an option I'd like to be auto'd to do training sessions, but it might be easier to work with Valder leaving the group for... mountain training?

I kinda like how disobedient Koa soft-encourages my Cottonee to act out her Fairy Type against the dragon in a mischievous and playful manner, I fear this might only increase as soon as I retrained her to indeed have Prankster Abilty as well as after her evolution.

Be sure to at least post in the Game Thread that Valder inform Ventus of his decision before going on a hiking expedition, so that he knows where they will generally be at and what they are up to, and so that he can buy a Cellphone for them to contact them with. He's Ven's mercenary, after all, and more importantly a valued member of the group, so him disappearing on without word could cause a bit of trouble. Nathan might aslo get flashbacks of Vincent venturing in the wilds, and never rejoining the group again....

Still, I wish you have a great time on your trip/vacation to England, mate! Hopefully the food and weather don't do you in, or you won't get lost in some of the more convoluted layouts of towns/cities!
