Calam, for his part, is incredibly surprised.  Both by the suddenness of the gesture and...well, the gesture itself.  Usually, lesser pokemon turn tail and run from him when they see that scar, and even tougher ones pause and reconsider approaching him.  Kirlia was about the only pokemon he ever expected to face him without flinching at the thought.  Not that he minded that, he was used to it.  Enjoyed it quite a bit even.  He's a loner by nature, after all.  Not that having some company was a bad thing.  In fact, he could get used to it.  Was going to have to, even, though he expected as much when he challenged Nathan.  He ends up staring at the Noibat from over the rims of the glasses for a few moments, before he chuckles to himself.  Yup, traveling with Nathan and Kirlia looks like it was certainly going to be interesting...

The glasses don't completely cover his scar (it's a fairly large scar), unfortunately, and his red eyes still glow just enough to be seen through the dark tint of the shades if one looks closely enough.

And if Ventus noticed this little exchange, he's not currently showing any indication that he did...

Nathan raises an eyebrow as this happens.  He's not sure what to think of this..."Ventus, your bat just gave his glasses to my cat if you didn't notice."

"Hmm, Lucifer did what now- oh." Ventus said, not paying full attention to the statement intially, as his methodical note taking + review process took a sizable chuck of its span when he really got into it, until he looked up from his notes to see the percular sight of the small bat befriending the big 'bad' cat-wolf. The researcher blinked a few times and wondered just why this happened, before he quickly puts two and two together and deduces that they (His little devil) was trying help out Absol with their image problem. A small, emphemeral smile ghosted onto his face at that moment, as they chuckled at that uncanny display of his Niobat.

"...I never knew Lucifer would take after me so much, but I guess it shows how powerful the bond between trainer and Pokémon, and why its hardly ever underestimated. Its hardly understood in turn. Things like this, these connections between beings of all kinds, Types, shapes and sizes, and much more....its why I became a Pokémon Sociologist. I want to understand how these bonds work in their entirety, so that I can spread that Insight the world over, and bring Humans and Pokémon ever closer together. So close, perhaps, that the communication barrier between species could finally be breeched...That is my dream. It may not come true, but its something worth striving for regardless" Ven said, his sights squarely on the bat and the cat for a moment longer, before they turned to Nathan.

"If Lucifer wishes to hand over his Black Glasses to your Absol, then who am I to object to his decision. He made it out of the goodness of his heart, and out of a desire to aid whom he already considers a friend, so I see no reason why to disrupt such an act of kindness. Besides, I think those shades could be put to better use by your Absol, don't you agree? *Sigh* Unfortunately, they are not entirely concealing that scar of his, which is a shame. If only I packed my make-up and styling kit, I could erase the sight of it entirely. Maybe Stair City could have a decent enough one on sale, or I could find enough quality supplies to make my own, hmm...."

Calam snarls a little at that statement.  He quite likes how he looks, thank you very much.  Sure, it's a nasty looking scar, but all the better to show he's not one to be messed with.  He could tolerate the glasses since he could remove them quite easily if he wished to, and he certainly felt a lot stronger while wearing them as well.

Shiva was actually the last one to come to the group. Sure, she did awoke at a normal time in her view - which was, not early, or to say it differently, to a later time than Ven and Nathan - but morning things and feeding her Pokemon breakfast surely takes a little. Sleeping over in a dorm of the Center was luxury compared to sleeping in a tend outside of town, so she held nothing against making good use of such luxury.

As for Helios, she was still uncommonly quiet this morning, and Shiva continued respecting that he seems to preprare for something... Something she certainly didn't want to disturb for various reasons, so she didn't commented on that at all. After calmly asking him whether it's okay that she withdraws him into his Pokeball after she did so with her other party members and receiving a discret nod of her Psychic Type, she did so, and closed and locked the room behind her.

First thing she did was joyfully accept both Comite and Azurill back from Nurse Joy, both fresh and about again. The former got placed onto Bill's PC again in return for retrieving Kyuu. The psychic kitten deserves some good training if Shiva wishes for him to become a decent Meowstic one day, and spending some time with him as long as the black-spotted egg has not hatched was surely not a bad idea. Speaking of that, nothing has changed about the egg overnights. With the pool of Pokemon se can choose from growing and certainly keep on growing as the journey continues, it became harder to decide which Pokemon she wished to keep on her hand constantly... Ah, but maybe such a thing belonged to a Trainer's life as well. Plus, it doesn't hurt to collect as many Pokemon as she wishes now to have enough resources when she one day starts to breed professionally. Same with more Gym Battles... Yes, there are certainly more to come, but she'll consider well who she'll challenge and who rather not. The Gym of Corsage was one of these kinds that she discretly decided to avoid no matter what, too strong was her respect for the Leader and too little Pokemon were in her possession to counter him. The League in Chreshire only requiered six badges, that's something she picked up when informing about the region before she got here, but THAT was too far in the future to thibk about that now, so she ended that trail of thought by calling out Azurill from hr ball. Blue mouse got immediately  and carefully picked into her arms after she gave her Master a thankful and delighted look (even if it was without a direct smile) to be close to her Master and received a gentle good-morning hug. "You're fine again? Nice to hear! You did great yesterday evening. Now, let's get going, okay?"

With that said, she grabbed both a pitchblack coffee and a plate full of sliced fruit and berries for both Azurill and as a light snack to go along before approaching the tabel her party members were currently residing at. She was in a good mood due to looking forward to see the Infiltrator in a little, as well as there was actually nothing that impaired her mood currently. Both Ven and Nathan were somethat distant to one another again, but since Nathan asked her to not talk about it, she'll respectively accept that and won't interfere unless it clearly begins to cause trouble or she notices that either of them is strongly suffering under this. No comments on the fact that Nathan had his Absol again out of it's ball again either, she got the feeling like he did that on purpose. Well, can't blame this, but he has to live with the consequences of it if he desires to run aroung in Ginger Town with an Absol by his side.

So, she was relatively quiet for now, and all she had to say for now was "Greetings, people. Slept well and restful?" to carefully break the ice.

The empath is unfazed by the doom bringer's vocal and emotional dissent against that course of action ('Its hard to intimidated someone that has experience what I have personally encountered.'), but he calmly held up both his hands placatidly at the Absol, entirely uneager to start any form of conflict with them. "Becalm, Absol. It was only an expressed offer to aid in restoring you old unblemished façade, but if that is something you find reprehensible, then I will leave well enough alone on the subject. If beautification is not what you seek, though, I can make the scar appear even more intimidating if you so wish; make-up artistry is not just for making one look more attractive, after all. Of course, I understand if you decline this offer as well, so no hard feelings on my part Absol."

Shiva's timely arrival in the lobby and her usual (thankfully) pleasing emotional state brought another smile to his face as he warmly greet her back in turn. "A good morning to you, my friend. I slept well last night, and ready to head out to the Daycare whenever you are! After that, I don't suppose we can't hold another tutoring session for my dear Raphael, could we? I do want to teach them Nasty Plot eventually, as that move is devastating in conjuction with his wide and expansive movepool, and it would be a nice method to muscle past people and Pokémon bulky as I am!"

Welcomes as warming as the coffee in the cupr are pleasant warmings indeed. She replied with a slight smile to both her party members while Azurill carefully yet thankfully digged into the sliced fruit an berries.

"Sure thing, we can get going to the Daycare right away. The owners expressed to me that they'd enjoy havinga nre Pokemon to raise, so leaving Ariel there should be no issue if that's your wish. Also... Nathan will come with us as well. Yesterday evening I told him about a new hatchling at the place, and both him and his Absol accepted to come with me to see it. It is, in fact, an Absol. No, it has nothing to do with The Running, the egg has been incubated way before the Running came up. So, Ven, how about you then, you wish to see it as well while we're there anyway? You might know that it's very rare to see and even meet a young Absol since the species does hide their young away in caves to raise and train them for an independant life, but since I adviced them to breed an Absol for the role of foreseeing any bad happenings in addition to a Protector-Espeon, it should learn human contact and another of it's kind to learn how solcialize properly. Don't know, maybe you as studied Pokemon Sociologist would be interested in this?"

"Oh, and we can gladly hold another Tutoring Session later this day, so please keep your afternoon or evening free for that sake, okay? I'll make sure that this time my Electric rodents can help Raphael on learning the mechanics of the move."

Here is something that Shiva wil ask Ventus along the way to the Daycare.

"Oh, and... I picked up you said something about make-up artistry there in the Lobby? How comes you are interested in that?" That question was not meant ill, rather...a little curious. (Hint! Shiva actually carries three eyeliner pens with her, but of couse you wouldn't know this unless asking or notice that she took the effort to apply them. Which she normally does not, only for special occassions maybe.)

Calam doesn't particularly care about makeup.  He doesn't need any fancy tricks to look intimidating or fight.  He calms down when Shiva arrives and starts talking about the young Absol, thankfully.

Nathan interrupts.  "Look, this is all well and good, but I've got something to ask first."

He sounds rather exasperated and semi-embarassed when he continues.  This might not be a good time to say this, but it's likely the only time he can...he has no idea how to properly phrase this..."I...dont know what I'm doing wrong here...just feel incredibly lost...don't really get it...so I want to ask...if I can battle the both of you today...maybe it could help me...get on the right track..."

Giving him a slight yet warm smile, she expressed that it's all fine and there is no need to be too shy to ask if something's ailing him. "Something to ask? Well, now is a good point to do so, so please do." she replied, before forming a reverse steeple of her hands and placing it onto the table. Nathan was still not very good at hiding feelings, so it was realtively easy for her to notice that it's hard to him to speak out what he wished to speak out.

... ... ...As he did so, she could not help but to feel...suprised. Not because his opening to feel somewhat lost, but mostly because of this desire to soleve this via battling her and Ven. Speaking of that, she couldn't help but to throw a very short glance over to him, before continuing to face Nathan in a calm expression, though with a mixed feelingas and a raised eyebrow. As well as even carefully and lightly pat him on one shoulder. "I have actually nothing against that, but do you really think it'll solve things for you? Heart after walk for a while and have decide to go to the Pokemon Center to do somethings. He could see Nathan Shiva have a little discuss but he decide to continue with his things. Then he could glimpse a little part of the conversation about Nathan challenge both Ven and Shiva with a pokemon battle. Well, he decide to just watch for now and see what might happen. He dont want to interrupt the conversation.

He's still not quite sure how to phrase what he wants to say...How can you admit that you have no idea how to act around 'friends?'  That you barely even know what it means to be someone's friend in the first place? That you're not entirely certain you actually are someone's friend?  

His feelings on the matter are a jumbled mess.  He has no idea what to think.  Friendship is a strange concept for Nathan, despite having plenty of pokemon friends and almost 4 weeks of travel experience with Shiva and Ventus...
