[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
I think you might need to address forfeiting in-game, since Nathan's reaction is one reason you might choose not to. Or Dragon ought to at least express an opinion about it here.

Ventus thinks an average yet competitive Creshiriean (?) would not feel bad about claiming victory in these conditions.

Let's have Ventus say his piece in-game, then I'll address how Nathan reacts there depending on how it's phrased.

I don't care if Michael doesn't get a point in loyalty, I just feel that staying in the fight is just going to be a waste of everyone's time.

Man, those dice...

Reminder that Starmie's only currently known Psychic attack doesn't get STAB or type bonuses since it's fixed damage.  Psywave isn't going to be super scary until Nathan has a few more gym badges and it starts doing a consistent 4+ D6 damage against all foes without any buffs or debuffs.

Mate, I frankly care at this point. Raphael was taken out in just one round despite the odds, Kirlia is practically no worse for wear for the what little he did do to them, and both Pokémon have a method of quickly and easily restoring their HP no matter what damage Michael + Plusle can do. I am not happy with this turnabout at all, as it just makes me wish that I included a 'No using healing moves' clause in the battle against you and took things more seriously (Like Buffing Raphael with Nasty Plot and spamming Aura Sphere/Magical Leaf), so unless Nathan suddenly decides to change his apathetic behavior anytime soon...

Yes, things turned around quickly.  But Nathan was at a pretty big disadvantage the previous round as well when nothing went his way either.  The dice just seem to be fickle, apparently :/

With regards to the healing moves, Recover was only ordered in Round 1 because Starmie had to keep up with a type disadvantage at the very start of the battle and the move is not being used again, and Draining Kiss was only ordered because I wasn't expecting a ORKO on Raphael with little to no difficulty (and DK is very, very slow healing that's unreliable for healing large amounts of damage quickly most of the time).  Plus, Nathan doesn't have quite as much bulk as Ventus, so recovery moves aren't quite as effective for him as they are for Ventus.

Yes, the apathy is going away as soon as the battle is over.

That seems to open the path for forfeiting this battle, Windos. Please do so! A big part of Shiva will be thankful like nothing, although in-game she'd be fighting to the end. BUT it wouldn't do any good to her. ._.

Well done Nathan, unless there are VERY good reasons to change it, you did no good in mending the crack of trust she held for you despite she forgave you. A friend doesn't put another friend through an emotional distress to help himself.

If its not clear, Ventus is not too happy with how things turned out not only around the end, but throughout the whole battle, and Shiva's and Nathan's feelings (or lack of, in the later) only gave him more reason to call it quits. He'd be bitter about how his expectation of a friendly battle were shattered like so, if he were not the type to mire himself in those types of feeling, and didn't have another person that needed his undivided attention and care. For the first time ever, you character is on the receiving end of a bad situation he caused, and I sure hope he has a plan on how to deal with fallout thereof...

Going to be offline for around an hour, so see you then.

This time, Shiva will not be present to help or ease things for Nathan, and I think it's comprehensible why. @Iron, do me and Ventus/our Pokemon nevertheless get any XP even if we didn't made it to defeat one of his Pokemon? I do hope so. ._.

Oh yes. You defeated Grid and most of Porygon. And I'll give some more for RP later, assuming Nathan has something up his sleeve. Not sure.

Shiva and Ventus gain 3XP each. They each have 5XP to split among their Pokemon.
Nathan gains 8XP. He has 16XP to split among his Pokemon.
As you can see I kind of weighted it toward extra trainer XP, but gave a typical amount for the Pokemon battle XP.

Congrats, Phantom.  You guessed half of my intended outcome for the aftermath.  I was going to have Nathan pass out regardless of the outcome of the battle.

So, how will Kirlia, Calam, Heart, Ventus, and Shiva react?

That doesn't change a thing about Shiva plainly needs some alone time to regain some vigor, right away.
