[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(09-26-2017, 08:01 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Okay I stop. But seriously if Heart see that visions he would say something like: What the heck is that visions? This become a love craft terror

List of visions Kirlia's had so far:

- A series of past and future events that were incredibly vague (triggered when Ralts evolved into Kirlia).  Really ominous towards the end.  (and it's incredibly long term, too)
- A preview of the nightmare landscape we visited in Corsage (occurred the first night we were in Corsage)
- A dream involving nothing but the Scarred Absol standing there (occurred while we were camping to get away from Corsage's uncomfortable atmosphere)
- Scarred Absol again, but this one was just his head essentially replacing Kirlia's, and then growing in size until it filled the room (occurred when we were leaving Corsage to head back to Ginger Town)
- And now this one that pertains to the prophecy Calam showed Nathan

Fun, fun stuff, none of which has really boded well so far.  And aside from that first one, Kirlia doesn't exactly enjoy these visions either.  Though he doesn't participate in discussions about that first one, period, so...

Well, I guess that is to be expected then. Wonder how I'm going to get them to open up about the vision, and when the right time for Ventus to start inquiring/realizing that Nate had not said anything the vision directly to them? Hmm...

It's not just Nathan who does that, take a look in Shiva's direction - nothing new for her. *shrugs* You decided that Kirlia wanted to help him but accidently overdone it, now we have to live with the consequences.

Leaving the room very very quickly without saying a word to Ven, I wonder how he'll find that... :C He took the effort to visit and see how he's doing, even with a bad morning that's not all that nice.

Would you rather deal with Nathan if he did remember what happened?  Might not have been the most pleasant of things, since it would have likely sent him into a depressed state where he would be actively avoiding Ventus and Shiva.  There's still a risk of that currently, but that depends on the current character interactions.

Worth noting that Nathan also didn't really touch the fruit Shiva had offered him.  He took it, but...well, then that vision happened before he could snack on it.  Rather small detail, and Shiva probably won't know, but Ventus might notice.

Nathan's near freak out was a pretty good opportunity for Ventus and Shiva to both learn about at least a part of that first message and to keep Nathan from bottling all this up, but since Shiva and Ventus kinda blew it off, well...

I was actually trying to get things resolved ASAP so they wouldn't be a concern later, but the vision kinda threw those plans out the window, and trying to compensate for at least a part of what I'd been aiming to do didn't work so well since you guys decided not to take the very obvious bait.

As Insightful (if somewhat over attentive on the wrong things) my character is, he would have definitely noticed that. I'll add that detail to the next post I'm thinking up, as every little of information help, mate!

IC, Ventus was too busy dealing with Shiva and himself to address Nathan's sudden emotional downward spiril, and didn't want to be the one to make it worse if he happened to screw up in social and invariably pissed them off. OOC, I didn't want me or the rest of us bogged down in details/exposition in Ginger Town now that all our relevant business was finish and Nylon had returned, and simply choose let the currently tangently related business with the Skull Ruins slip on by. I sorta regret it now, since Nathan opted to indulge in the bad habit of repressing/bottling up his discomfort instead of, you know, talking about, but that is the consequence I have to live with now.

Also, I kinda wanted to let Nathan continue being the secret keeper in regards to the place, as letting Ven in on those bits of lore could prove worrisome if not handled properly, and I like the fact that Nathan is privy to hidden knowledge we don't know about. Of course, eventually we'll have to learn it in order for our character to prepare for Skull Ruins trouble, so it only a matter of time before communication channels re-open. Speaking of information, though, the group still hasn't read over Nathan's notes about what was in those lab book in the base or examined those Magic Guanlets Ven stole of the guard. When would be a good time to share those details with each other in game?

Same here, in regards to what happened because of That Battle, but like you said, that vision threw me for a loop. Unfortunately, I choose to quickly move on from that in order to increase the pacing rather than get that out of the way, but hindsight is 20/20...

That's part of the reason Nathan left the room so quickly.  With as much concern as Ventus and Shiva had been (sort of) showing, both of them just outright ignoring him when something is very obviously wrong...well, it kinda says a lot.  I was trying to bank on Ventus at least noticing just how much fear Nathan was feeling, but if not even that drew his attention...subconsciously, Nathan enjoys the attention (he'll never, ever openly admit it, though), so being ignored so suddenly when the main topic of this visit was initially him was a recipe for trouble.

Nathan's still going to be keeping that stuff secret for the most part.  That first message is just the one he's far more likely to share sooner, since the only part that really talks about him and Kirlia specifically is the bit about unselfish love (which is very vague on its own, and Nathan's still puzzled about what it really means anyways since he doesn't necessarily see anything wrong with Kirlia's behavior).  The stuff that directly relates to freeing Mesprit is what he's going to be highly reluctant to reveal (for now).  The trick about revealing any of it though is Nathan's not going to say anything about it without prompting, and only if he's absolutely sure there's no unwanted listeners around, so...(that recovery room in the Center would have been the perfect place without having to put in extra effort that might raise a few eyebrows)

Hmmm...well, with regards to the Scimitar binder notes, you'll have to ask Nathan about that when an opportunity arises.  Nathan might have calmed down enough by the end of day 28 to address some of the current issues, depending on what happens during the course of the day.  Handle things carefully...

Dont want to be rude but Dual Chop shouldnt be a STAB Move? Since its Dual its Dragon-type move Koa would have 1+ for STAB. Just saying.
