Neat. It was exactly what Shiva strongly assumed it was - the elusive Unovian candle, with its blue-lavender flame burning the spirits away! How lucky to encounter one in Chreshire...

It seemed wary, not very pleased by the attack despite it seemingly delt no harm at all - which angered Cottonee, oviously, because she wanted to do something! - but also...curious?! As far that was was Shiva assumed as it didn't shy away nor brutally attacked her - was it indeed enjoying the taste of her life force? Did it saw Shiva as an easy target with her nerves still wounded and barely a will to fight back, or was it that mystical vail that invisibly surrounded her and allured elusive Pokemon to her? Well, elusive is fine, but it wasn't like the Litwick-line is harmless... Was this the cause why it hid away so close to the path, so await prey passing by?

Speaking of harmless, it'll possibly show her some Fire moves rather soon. Actually, right away. That did not went as planned... Not at all... Time to PANIC!

"Cottonee, away from there! Get out of range, evade, don't get hit by fire, do anything, but don't attack just now! Litwick, YOU WANT LIFE FORCE, RIGHT? I'll give you partly mine, I am the strong source and simultaneously easy target you might have picked up, I'll look with your for prey, I don't have any sacificial offering to you right now but we can find some TOGETHER! Just...don't attack... Just come with me..." Shiva was already down on eyelevel with the Pokemon, and in a way to impulsive movement clutched to a Great Ball, visibly for Litwick if he'd decide to open his eyes.

Mechanics:
Whoops... I overlooked the thought that this could start a battle, but at least the Pokemon revaled itself now. No attacking from my side, if the words don't prevent Litwick from attacking nevertheless, evade that with 5 D6. Whatever happens, catch attempt #1 with a Great Ball (Seal Strenght 4). If that fails, further actions will income, I'm surely interested in getting that Litwick, human-accustomed or not, with as much starting-Loyalty as possible.

Something Nathan knows from his research: a Slowking (or even a Slowbro) may learn different sorts of lore upon evolution depending on where the Shellder is from. (he won't evolve until exposed to the trading machine while holding a king's rock and then is exposed to a river). This is a unique Creshire feature.

Shiva's eyes reflect the light of the candle flame. He comes closer, his eyes now open and fixated on Shiva's own. She doesn't seem to be growing weaker, but it does feel eerie to have Litwick draw on her "life force," whatever that may mean.

While Piloswine is smashing things with Iron Tail, the group gets their first glimpse of the elusive White Donphan! Just its pink eyes and head are visible about 600' away from Valder, peering over the high wall.

As for the Pokemon encounters:
Gligar, Mankey, and Larvitar run away before the next encounter slot.

Ventus was both delighted and amused at how quickly Apsis dispatched the Slowpoke into the land of unconsciousness, and his good cheer only improved when it was caught without nary a struggle or a single Pokeball wasted. Otherwise, the water sloath might have ended up in his snakes's belly after all! Sending it off to his PC, the researcher patted the smooth scales on his Arbok, silently conveying the joyful pride he held for strength and restraint, in and out of battle, before he sat back down and resumed his angling, the regal snake re-coiling around him as they spent a few hours fishing away. He was not quite ready to call it quits on his fishing prospect; at least, not until he's provided enough fish to sastify his sister's massive appetitie!

Order: Since Larvatar ran away and I want to feed fill Apsis up with fish Pokémon, Ventus will keep fishing for the time being, and this time baits his hook with an Oran Berry to see how that affects what he ends up bring in.

It worked... It didn't attack, nor did Cottonee suffered any harm - speaking of that, the fluffball was rather unimpressed by her Master almost breaking down in panic, but being her most loyal companion, she'd surely intercept if things would get worse or that candle would pose more of a threat.

For now, it just gave a cold shiver to Shiva when it stared at her. But, she was also rather glad that she encountered an encounter with a Ghost-Type, even if Litwick had something eerily cute about itself... Plus, she even ended up catching it, what delighted her greatly since it certainly be useful to have another Fire Type with her. Picking up the Great Ball that contained the candle, she starred at it for a while, not really sure what do do with it, now that the panic began to subside... Maybe it was not the best idea to offer partly of her life force to it? The spectral candle also relies on fuel and spirits to grow and eventually evolve... Her words were nothing more than whisper, mostly spoken to herself. "Guess I'll keep it... But I do cling to life... I guess..." Later, she'll surely ask Ven for advice on handling a Ghost Type as well as for a possible nickname for the spectral. Also "Do forgive me, Nightshade, but I'll come back to you for sure, dear sun-setter..." (Cherubi is sent to Bill's PC, while Litwick takes the free slot. With Flame Body the weird egg surely benefits from it as a side effect.)

For now though, that encounter exhausted her and she just stayed there for a while, stroking through Cottonee's fluff to recover and catch up on breath a little. The party was nowhere to be seen, did they already went ahead? Well, not like she could miss them or they left her behind again ...Did they? Whatever, meanwhile she got used to that irony.

While sitting there, she also caught a glimpse on what Valder meant - that head and pink eyes up there can't be something else. It was way to far away to get closer, nor did Shiva wanted to accidently chase it off, but she surely was awestruck by the sight of it.

[Dragonstrike]

Nathan's a little too preoccupied with Kirlia to really take notice of that albino Donphan.  

Something spooked his friend, and he only barely caught a glimpse of whatever it was as it moved out of sight...

Whatever it was, Nathan wasn't in the mood for this.  Better deal with it before it becomes a problem...

Alright, now it's time for Skorupi.  Hmmm...wonder how this will go...

As soon as Shiva caught up on breath and calmed herself again well enough to move on, she'll follow the path with Cottonee still by her side, still eager to do something or beat up some dragons... The pairs ends up in front of that Custom clothing store. Guess searching for the other party members can wait, since Shiva certainly could use some new things - even if it'll be just a souvenir-T-shirt, she has to keep her natural grace and appearance honed and fresh!

"So... Cottonee, dear, guess it'll be just we two then. I'll look for something specific, but be assured that we can look for something for you or your companions! Yeah, I'll get you a battle or at least some action soon... Stay calm and close to me, alright? Nudge me if you found something that got your attention."

Time for a stop-by at the Clothing Shop, @Iron!~ I already know what Shiva will buy (3 items, two of them because I like the idea and one that will be useful when disguising herself if the choice, additionally to the Scimitar-cloaks), but maybe there is something that she could get for her Pokemon...

Second Encounter of the day will likly be Tyrogue, Cottonee and Litwick will battle it together. Goin' off now.
