The researcher didn't see any problem with lending his Rod to the young lass at all, judging by the way he retrieved it from its storage ball and handed it to her! "Feel free to fish for so long as you wish, though we shouldn't dally up here for too long if we can help it. Wouldn't want to set camp up here at night if at all possible, especially if it start pouring rain."

Heart who was grabbing in the back of Rose thank the Monferno lady and look around to admire all the nature. He was very temp to jump in the water and swim but that would be a disrespect so he contain himself. Arceus may know what type of Pokemon hide in the deeps. He is rare collector, but not a crazy one. He is quite suspicious and aware to his sorrounds to any movement.

Mechanical: Instincts alert to any suspicious move in that forest. A rare Pokemon, Almac something, a turncloak martial artist, etc.

Nathan takes particular note of Shiva's careful handling of the water.

Even from the looks of it, Shiva like the rumors people told didn't came from nowhere. Whatelse could be the reason for this clear, crystalline water...? Wonder what other Pokemon dwell down there in the depth?

It felt somewhat wrong to use such precious water to get clean, even if she hated to look at herself after the mountains surely had their visible effect on her - none of the wounds seemed to be more than scratches though, luckily.

Before anyone in the party was able to touch the pure water here, Shiva held them back for a minute, before pulling out a small empty bottle of water she took with her from Ginger Town's Pokemon Center, and filled it up with that crystalline water. She didn't knew what to do with it yet, though. Certainly not drink it, too precious.[/b]

 Valder thought the way Shiva acted reminded him of a cat protecting its beloved ones (+1 loyalty to Shiva). Valder looked at her and asked, "May Ghastly-" Valder interrupted himself, "I mean, may Haunter  check out the water. I think we'd all like to know more about it".

 Valder also had Froakie out, hoping he'd enjoy the view.

Ok, Heart's instincts alert him to something coming up the way they came! It's a Machop, climbing the sheer cliff using nothing but the strength of his muscles. It seems to be a different individual than the blackbelt's Machop.

Lucifer returns from scouting to indicate that he spotted some big Pokemon in the distance, but none currently on the way to Stair City.

Btw, the farsighted among you can make out the eastern portion of the Skull Ruins here! From up here, it just looks like a sandy wall with white-coated ants/distant people crawling all over it. You can also see where an awning has been set up on distant Route 4 to provide a checkpoint for anyone trying to travel through.

Froakie and the water types are definitely up for a swim once they're allowed. The water will be freezing cold, though.

After holding up the obtained crystalline water in a bottle (that's what I'll call it from now on) in the sun to admire it's faint sparkling - how neat that here, the clouds seemed to be just a little less threathening - , Shiva packed it away safely and thenakfully accepted the fishing rod from Ven. My, eh, she never even went fishing either, but let's hope she won't make a fool out of herself or ends up loosing the rob to an Pokemon that might pull too hard...

Taking care not to show ANY of these worries on the outside, she put on a soft smile on Ven's concern. "I'll take care to not hold you people up, if possible. Were waiting for Lucifer to return anyway, and actually I'd have nothing against camping here, as you see the sky is less overcast here by the shore... But it's certainly too early to think about a place to spend the night, so you're not wrong on this."

With that said, Shiva went a little away from the others to a calmer spot - yet still in earshot and eyesight - and after some pondering, she first called out Azurill once again - blue mouse has been withdrawn before Raphael pulled them all up the slopes - and expressed the actions to her: "We'll take a break here, dear one. Rest a little or enjoy the clear water and atmoshere here, as you surely deserve it for helping there along the way with the boulders! I'm proud of you." Then, she drew yet another package of the Gourmet Food, opened it and took three pieces out of it not really looking at what shape they are, before feeding one to Azurill, eating one on her own - they still lack sugar - and baiting the fishing rod with the remaining three pieces.

From his drakes report, the sociologist was extremely glad that their were no terrifyingly, viscous mountain guardians in their path. Fighting/facing off against anyone of them up here up here, where they have the home advantage and all the incentive to brutalize any would be trespasser, would be an unequivicol nightmare at best. 'Reshirim forbid that they cross the group's path, or we attract their attention or ire in any probably form!' Ventus thought, shuddering at the brief yet vivid image of a Tyranatar bringing down the entire mountain side upon them all....

Less pleased was he when he finally caught a glimpse of Almanac scuttering about the Skull Ruins like tiny white roaches and picking it clean, but he turned his attention away from them for the time being. Getting wrathful about them now would be pointless, as it was too late for him or anyone else to investigate their activities their, and a distraction that could prove costly in the long wrong. 'Keep the mind clear for the upcoming treck, as one moment's lapse in thought could prove severe for us all....'

While Shiva was fishing and Raphael was still relaxing, he heard Heart alert about the burly Machop that followed after them, and decided to go check it out in the most direct way possible: by walking up to it (With Lucifer perched on his shoulder, ready to use Gust just in case) and politely asking it: "Well hello there, Machop! What bring you up here to share in the company of my group? "
