I must share some information with you and him about somethings I find."

"This again?  *sigh*...look, I'll tell all three of you (and Valder, I guess...) what I know about that later.  Just...don't ask about it.  I'll address any questions later."

(10-16-2017, 04:27 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: "...Yes, it is relatively easy to tell. Hmm..." Tired as he is, he might not even notice that Shiva looked like she slept well and peacefully in the city.

It took a little before she gave him an aswer to the plea of talking in private. "Talk in private? Why?"

"Just...have some stuff to say, that's all...important stuff..."

Upon arriving in the lobby with Shiva and noticing Nathan's bedraggled and groggy state, Ventus found it difficult not to take some form of joy of the effect Stair's City hustle and bustle kept had on them. His own rest was hardly restorative, due having to meditate during a large portion of it to wrestle, contain, and process the chaotic malstorm of emotional distress the boy so callously/indifferently inflicted upon them yesterday, so seeing them in a semi exhausted state gave him a bit of vindictive pleasure. If he couldn't have a good night sleep, its only fair the same can be said for them!

Admittedly, despite the apathy/loathing he currently held for they young trainer at present, the empath couldn't help the curious and slightly suspicous feeling that arose within him at the boy's wish to discuss something with his dear friend in private, but he managed to repress such negative emotions. 'As much as it pains me now, its not my place to intrude on personal matters between my friends, unless it involves myself or the group as a whole. I'll just remain here in the lobby and review/update my notes for the time being while they hold their discussion, or until something else happens that necessitates my prompt attention,' the sociologist thought to himself, watching his friend leave with Nathan to the backroom will nary a change in his pleasant expersion, before he took a place at the table and pulled out his notebooks and journels and got to work.

Between exploring the region and opposing Scimitars and all thing arcane and magical, finding time to sdocument this region's unique Pokémon behavior and its people's interactions with them was a laborsome task for the researcher, but he managed all the same! Of course, it helps that he has a sharp, keen memory for his lines of research and topics of interest!

"...well...uh...that's because...*ahem*...you're the first one aside from my dad that actually seems to...actually kinda want to hang with me despite...Mom doesn't quite understand, and...*cough*...wanted to make it up to you..."

That was barely audible, and probably didn't explain a whole lot...it's pretty obvious Nathan's fairly embarrassed, though...particularly since he quickly changes the topic to address Shiva's next question (and unintentionally answering a few of her unvoiced ones as well in all likelihood).  Oh, and Kirlia's silently chuckling a little as well.

"Anyways...yes, that's a Monkey's Fist style Destiny Knot.  Most just call it a Destiny Knot though, as that style's the international standard.  It feels different because it's made of yarn, not string.  I'm not entirely sure what the original reason for doing so is, but Creshirean breeders have historically used ones made of that material instead for as long as anyone can remember.  Particularly skilled breeders are able to craft them, and tying the yarn into types of knots other than the standard style sometimes has...odd and highly varied effects on the offspring.  Maybe due to the larger variety of materials that go into making it.  Mareep and Baashaun wool, spider silk, plant fibers...my mom's got a couple different kinds of Knots made of several different mixtures of materials at home.

"Oh, and, uh...even a basic yarn Destiny Knot is worth a couple thousand pokedollars because of how long it takes to make them, so...take good care of that one..."

Nathan looks a little sheepish...he'd be more than happy to continue talking about this if asked, but he does also have some things he needs to ask Shiva...

Even if it was hardly audible, Shiva managed to pick up enough words to at least assume what he reason was. Or most likely could be. It gave her a carefully warm feeling. Such fragile bonds...

Seeing that Cottonee showed interest in that Knot - 'Master brings up the weirdest things to play with! - delighted her as well, even if it was relatively pointless in terms of breeding to give it to Cottonee. Watching her Pokemon for a little, Shiva's mind began to ponder what actually do with it then... Regardless of what it'd be, it's surely a neat thing to have a Destiny Knot originating from Chresire on hand. True, at home in Castelia they had a few in stock... It was new to Shiva though that there are seeimingly different types of these. Must be something they were beta-testing in Chresire before expanding it to other regions just like The Breeder's Lisence? Oh right, bet her father would be curious to hear about it as well. If he doesn't know this already that is... Only now she also realized that she never really asked where they actually got these Knots from. They were always there... Particularly skilled Breeders are able to craft them by themselves? How neat that sounds... Some sort of talent for crafting she had... Wonder is she also, one day...

She likely missed the historic aspect of these Knots, but she surely perked up at the finacial value of it. Neat, and immediately she not only grew a little more fond of that ball of red string yarn, but also felt more wealthy for being gifted with such an item.

...Now that she also faced Nathan again, she certainly cottoned on that this whole thing must be highly embarrassing for him. Like, he wasn't used to such things, was he? She must have accidently missed it, but she was sure there was still a trace of blush in his face while Shiva actually stayed cool and calm. And, for one moment, was thankful that they weren't in the Lobby, as a male Trainer gifting a Destiny Knot to a young female in an embarrased way might be...weird or hint in the wrong direction to an outlooker...

"I surely will treasue it and take good care of that Knot... Thanks again..." That were all words that she brought up for now, before awaiting whatelse Nathan would have to say. DOES have to say, since she got the strong feeling there was more to come/he wanted to ask her before she could tell him of that Pancham.

Meanwhile, having cleaned the plat of fruit and Dry Food, Helios had his silent delight to let the red ball of yarn roll around and even float a little with Kinesis, probably to try out his still new control of his psyhic powers or to show to himself that now he wasn'st standing behind that Kirlia there anymore. Cottonee wasn't TOO much amused by that as she was bating around the ball before and Helios on purpose let her miss the Knot when she was winding up to bat it again... Part of the fluffball was curious about such mischief, but most part of her gestured to Helios to make him see that such behaviour is not accpepted if used against her, while keeping in mind any experiences she made/battles she held with that Psychic Type. Azurill, watching all this, didn't quite know what to do and who to help out with her Helping Hand, so she decided to try to build in some of that dance (with steps and everything) she showed to Shiva when she gifted her that Soothe Bell into that move.

Yes, this is a independent Training Session for Helios, Cottonee and Azurill, @Iron. Uhm, question here, is it actually possible for the training Pokemon to get different Traing Rolls within the same Training Session depending on how they train?

Like, I think Helios would (in theory) get the usual one for Kinesis, Dext. + Fight + Channel. For Cottonee I'd find Insight + Knowledge or Survival + X (Empathy towards Helios?) matching, for Azurill Dext. + X (Knowledge as she recalls the dance steps and tries to combine them with the movements in Helping Hand?) + Perform.

The researcher didn't look up from his notes at Heart's interjection, as he was busy pouring over the numerous entries/logs he's made about this region colorful and varied Pokémon and their habits, occasionally editing some details or scribbling more memos (Tiny printed and dated for record keeping, of course) in the margins/sides of the pages. Right now, he was looking over an entry about Milktank and Tauros, how they interrelated and interacted with one another, their behavior and how it compares to other regional varients etc.. Still, he waved the collector over to take a seat (If he already hadn't), and told them: "No, I don't, but forgive me if I a bit distracted at the moment. Research  does not happen in a vacuum, you know!"

"Nah, I understand. Been a Pokemon rare collector have similar job." Then Heart sit and begin to tell Ventus the information he find.

"First of all, that Claydoll probably came from deep inside the skull ruins. According to the person who was working in the job yesterday, a group of researchs was testing some type of drill machine, and all these problems begin when the Almanac persons come to the city. And we see the close to the ruins correct? Also he told me the vines don't come to this because of some barrier or something and told me that story:"

There was a city the King didn't like, one sort of like a modern day suburb, only it was a suburb of the King's Castle, where Sarimanok sat on a throne of Charizard skulls, which is now the Skull Ruins. King Sarimanok broke that suburb into little bits and paved Route 04 with the rubble. The northern border of Stair City is also part of that rubble.

"My theory is that Claydoll is probably the guardian of the Skull ruins, and the Almanac was using the drill to excavate something inside the ruins and they wake that Claydoll who was controlling the Tangrowth and the vines. And stolen Kirlia pearl because he thinks it was his stolen treasure or something? And they have a lab in the basement of the department store, and a store front in 12th floor."

Kirlia's carefully watching Helios.  He hadn't forgotten about their little 'rivalry.'  He knows he's still got plenty of advantages over the spoon wielding psychic type, too.

Seeing Helios mess around with the yarn a little reminded Nathan about that other VERY important topic...

"Oh, uh...right...if you uh...don't mind...could I borrow Helios for a little bit?  I need to Teleport back to Vapor Falls to evolve a Slowpoke that Ventus traded me last night...and I'd like to be back here sooner rather than later, but I don't want to exhaust Kirlia with a round-trip, long-range Teleport..."

"And...you can borrow Skiddo in the meantime...he seems to like you, and...well, maybe you'll have some...'tips' for him...I'm not overly familiar with cross-species breeding, believe it or not, so...but I do think he could be a decent match for Swiftfire if she warms up to him..."

Right. I base the training rolls on your description of the training. In this case, though, all your Pokemon have just received training rolls last time they trained, so it happens to be just 1XP this time.

First thing that came to Shiva's mind: When did Ven got a Slowpoke, and more important a King's Rock?
Second thing: Eh, doesn't really matter I guess...

Once again a few seconds passed while considering how to solve this. Since actually, she wanted to... "Oh, that's the thing, you wanted to teleport over some distance... Hmm, I'd have nothing against lending you my shortly evolved Kadabra (there was still a hint of awe in that part, since it gave her the feeling that she WAS able to get challenging things done!~), however I'm afraid I cannot do that currently... Because, eh, he might not obey you? And I wanted to find a battle for him in the city... Trying out Double Team and his psychic powers, you know... ... ...Ah! Buuuuut I can give him to you on loan anyway, if there is no other possibility, I can always try out his moves later and you need his teleportation-skills now... Treat him well and bring him back to me in one piece around evenin, okay? I'll likely need your Porygon-Z to look into something on my PC at some point, preferably overnights. Let's say it's only fair if I lend you Helios in return! Sounds agreeable? I can look into Skiddo and your fierly horse and maybe let the magic happen with a Destiny Knot later when I'm less busy..."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once that has been solved, we'll get to...the hatchling!~

Immediately Shiva's mood raised. Not that it has been bad in the first place, but simply thinking of her panda delights her and will probably do so for a few more days. Or weeks?

"Sooo... Told ya that the black-spotted egg hatched, right? It did so this morning, hearing the cracks in eggshell was like an alarm clock. The Pokemon that hatched...Is a proud and noble Pancham!~♡ From checking his Stats on PC he also knows two rare moves. Let's see..."

It was quite useful that half of the Pokeball turns transparent when the owner(?) touches it. (You know, like in the manga --->https://i.imgur.com/i5A1a.png) Young Pancham was sill sleeping cuddled up to Cottonee's fluff, the shard of the eggshell was hidden away somewhere it seemed. "Oh, he's still resting as I asked him to do, means I cannot show him to you in real... Later, probably. Here, take a look anyway.*showing it to Nathan while keeping it in hand* Isn't he cute?!"

(Damn, that messes my plans up completely... K, Nathan can have Helios on loan then, I'll simply use a different Pokemon instead of him in an upcoming 4vs4 battle at the fountain. Details will follow in time.)
