Having him outside of the Pokeball for long to make up for things sounds fine and fair as well, but it also would be a good call to not ruthlessly enforce the dog's company on Shiva and Ven right away and 24/7, but do so via little steps and have him recalled when they are close, for example. Similar like Shiva doesn't bring Braixen close to Ventus anymore.

I imagine Orthros will actually kinda like Shiva, seeing as Nathan does consider her a friend.  Of course, he might have a hard time expressing that if she won't want him anywhere near her...but I would hope that would also help soften the blow a little.

And yeah, I want to do the reveal before Little Cup so I have the option to use Orthros there if I desire to.  Plenty of opportunity there for Shiva to see Nathan knows what he's doing with the dog in those battles, after all.

And yes, it's very much an honesty thing from Nathan's viewpoint (and always has been).  Now that he'll have no reason to hide Orthros from her, he'll definitely want to tell her at the earliest opportunity.

Well, can't make too many promises there.  If Orthros doesn't want to be in his pokeball after the reveal, then he might just resist being recalled.  Maybe if Shiva were to ask nicely though, Orthros might be a little more mindful of that...very loyal to the 'pack' after all, so he might listen to her opinion on things a little...

Lolz, the first time that Deltadog comes to her in the means of 'Master values you. You're good. Pack member.' and licks her hand, she'll probably faint in fear and confusion.

I feel during the journey there is a tiny yet real chance that Shiva will, well... not be openly terryfied by Orthros but rather very wary/'I better keep my respectful distance from it'. That may be not direct acception as that feels like it's way too much to ask for, but some level before that. A run-in with a Nidoking is years ago and she's still very scared of that species because there never been a need to work on that.

Shiva will be very delighted when she finds out about this. C: That forbidding-factor may startle her, but herbs...

Well, if you guys want to get the reveal done ASAP, keep in mind that Nathan has to make amends with Ventus EXTREMELY  FAST in that case, as if the researcher even suspect Nathan going to reveal Orthros to Shiva right now, expect a....vivid reaction unless the boy demonstratively proves that the demon dog is not only a non-threat, but can be completely cowed in need be. Even then, Ventus would still not want her to suffer that realization at all and probably chew you out for forcing Orthros onto the group, since the species nearly traumatized himself and most definitely did so with Shiva.

Of course, rushing things with Ventus will also liable to cause problems, due to still being very much livid for the boy's slights and callousness displayed towards him, his beliefs, and past being fresh in his mind, so you are also laible to upset him regardless.

As for understanding Orthros beyond being kept on a tight leash by Nate...not likely to happen, sadly. Ventus is already prejudiced/hateful/spiteful/fearful towards the supernatural as is, and coupled with his personal run ins with the abominable mutts (his words, not mine) and his current attitude regarding Nathan/his discussion about it with him, he's not going to give it ANY leeway. That, and as a Pokemon Researcher , he always considers the species' natural behavior as a baseline to judge them and/or how to care/handle them, so since he knows that the Delta Species hunts people for both sport and to generate fear (or kill them) for thier food, that is obviously going to color his perception of all its individuals.

 If anything, seeing the dog terrified of him is likely going to make my character happier than if it were trying to be friendly/neutral, as he know they know were it stand with them...

Ventus might be put off by the magical part, but he does love medicinal and flowering plants, so he has a reason to go over their and investigate the place with your character! Herb hunting expedition a go go!

Awww!~ She'll be very delighted to have him by her side for herb hunting and safety reasons. *Shiva takes his hand, kisses him sweetly on cheek and puts a daisy in his orange hair*

How many encounter slots has Nathan used so far for Day 30?  1 or 2?

Just one, I think, to teleport away and evolve Slowpoke and get back. Talking to Shiva is definitely not a slot. Did you do anything else of note?
