Little 4x4 Round 2
Cherubi at 4/6 hp, -1 Pain, second in Init order
Espurr fresh and asleep, first in Init order
Oddish fresh
Vulpix at 2/5 hp, -2 Pain, one more point in damage to defeat the fox
...How splendid!~ At noticing that Shiva seemingly ran into a person that shares the thing about not having great skill in battle but being fond of Pokemon raising, caring and breeding, she could go over to the other side of the battlefield and simply hug her foe.
Eh, but she is BY FAR not that bold! And she needed the training in battle if she wants to shine in Little Cup at least a little.
It was also obvious that she at first thought that she got something wrong at hearing that Vulpix knows Flamethrower - that guy here wasn't lying. Kinda impressing to be honest, and she began to wonder whether her magical fox will have such a fierly power as well at some point... Back to battle though. Despite the fire, Nightshade was still standing and looked like she was less pained than the fierly fox on top of that! "Very good Flamethrower. But also very well done on taking it, Nightshade! Please go for another Tackle to hopefully defeat the fox., then heal yourself up a little if you take damage from Oddish. If not, tackle that plant as well!" As for Kyuu, Shiva couldn't do much about/with her psychic cat for now, apart from awaiting until he'll wake up on her own. he received a hopeful look that he obviously couldn't see from her.
Orders for this Round: Kyuu remains in battle for an Insight Roll. 3 dice, he'll stay asleep this Round since 5 successes are needed to wake up. Nightshade will tackle Vulpix and heal herself with Morning Sun IF Vulpix is defeated AND if she takes damage from Oddish. If no damage taken from Oddish OR Vulpix is still standing, using Tackle instead if the dice allow it. Sounds understanding?
Accuracy Tackle1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl -1 Pain - 2 Actions = 2 d6
Accuracy Tackle2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl -1 Pain - 3 Actions = 1d6
Damage Roll: 2 Strenght + 2 power of the move = 4 D6
Possible Accuracy Morning Sun: 3 Dext + 2 Survival + 2 Nature - 3 Actions = 4 D6, probably less due to Pain Penalizations at this point.
Effect: Basic Heal in this case.

"Okay, maybe I'll have to waterproof my journal first before I let you physically handle it, Solomon...it'd be...rather difficult to replace if you damaged it...I'm sure you'll find the contents interesting, though."
- Well, the research confirmed a few of his suspicions. The vines were an entirely new thing. And from the sound of things...the Lake Trio have known they were coming for a loooonnnngggg time...they also used to respect Sarimanok...well, no surprise there. Most Legendaries did before he fell from grace...weird that he never used the Lake Trio in battle or the things they supposedly helped him with creating, though...
- Nathan still highly doubted the design of Solomon's Shellder Crown was a coincidence, for obvious reasons, but it's interesting to see yellow crowns are sometimes associated with psychic energy, rather than pink or purple ones (and its especially weird to see that color associated with fairy and poison)...he did wonder how the others might react to seeing an Unown on the crown, though...they were bound to notice eventually, even if you could be looking right at it and still not see it...
- Uxie...left the region awhile ago, flying over the mountains and the ocean to the north, huh? There must have been a reason for it other than Sarimanok's fall...and Azelf...flew over Chicory Lake in a rush, flying to the East...there's not a whole lot to the east of Chicory Lake, though...and if nobody's seen it since...either it left the region in its haste...or something went terribly wrong...
- And Mesprit...has probably been sleeping for a looonnnngggg time...but if its spirit was still bright and playful at times...maybe its current lack of spirit was just an effect of being sealed for so long...interesting that the League found it in the Safari Zone, though...
- Also interesting is that Mesprit grew weary of the selfish desires of humanity...that...sounds like a very good reason for it to add something related to that as a requirement for waking it up...
- In fact, thinking about it, the last known locations of each member of the trio lined up perfectly with Cynthia's published research on them, which Nathan has read over several times. They were commonly known to form a triangle when together or apart. Mesprit was the bottom left corner (The Safari Zone in Teazel Valley), Azelf the bottom right (Chicory Lake), and Uxie the top (Mt. Sentry/Molten).
- Regardless, it seems that pattern had been broken...only Arceus knew where Azelf and Uxie had gone, and Mesprit's on the complete opposite side of the region now...
Dang it...seems like he might have to turn to Mesprit for answers when it wakes up...a sharer of unselfish love...and Kirlia has to be the one who frees it...
...maybe...does he have to convince Kirlia to help Mesprit for its sake instead of his?
...that was going to be difficult, wasn't it?
Nathan notes all of this in his journal carefully (minus any specifics relating to Mesprit's current status, the prophecy, etc.). And then he passes it over to Solomon (Nathan's still turning the pages himself though) for review and very carefully whispers so nobody else can hear (and that means Kirlia's excluded from this conversation too. He might find that a little odd, though...), "Alright, Solomon, I need a second opinion on this to make sure I haven't missed anything. So you're up to date on what's happening, you see this prophecy here? And this one here?" Nathan points to the first message in the Creshire section of his journal and lets Solomon read it, then turns to the very last page of his journal and repeats the process, then flips back to the notes he'd taken during his research so Solomon can also read those. "Mesprit is hidden at the location you evolved, sleeping (it's why your crown is so unique, just so you know). When I arrived at its location, I was shown those two messages. Currently, there's vines growing out of the Skull Ruins, threatening to cover the entire region under the guidance of the Tangrowth there. In order to stop it, we need to wake Mesprit, but...Kirlia, my best friend, is the only one who can if I'm understanding the prophecy correctly. And from what I'm reading, Mesprit isn't going to wake up if the intent is selfish...I was also wondering if the other members of the trio might also be hidden elsewhere in the region and was looking for clues that might point to potential locations, but...well, it seems Mesprit is the only one of the three that purposely hid itself away here...I haven't missed anything important in my analysis, have I?"

My wording was bad in that library post. The sentence should read "This research would point toward Solomon's Shellder being related to psychic (or poison or fairy) energy." Not yellow.
Solomon gives you a "Well, duh!" look when you humansplain his crown to him.
He nods encouragingly when you say that Kirlia is the only one to wake Mesprit. He thinks for a bit, requests a page in the Lake Trio Trilogy, and seems to come to the same conclusion you did about only Mesprit purposely hiding away. Solomon looks around at all the other library patrons suspiciously, and stands a bit closer to Nathan.
However, he does not quite agree with your analysis of how to wake Mesprit. He points repeatedly to the phrase "Only a sharer of unselfish love," leaving a little damp spot on "sharer." He looks warily over where Kirlia is standing, a quizzical look on the dancer's face.
He's also really really interested in "the only other way" mentioned by the prophecy.
Kirlia simply trusts in Nathan here and doesn't seek to intrude. But he makes damn sure that if he can't be in the conversation, neither can any of the other patrons!

He still wants to take a look around the city, and perhaps search for a neat Pokemon. He heard about Pokemon who live in the streets of the city, so may find something neat.
You don't have to worry about staying on the same timeline as everyone else here, so when your 8 hours of work are up you can collect your pay (nothing unusual will happen with that) and explore the city.

Ace Trainer Firestone Round 1
Acid Spray
(5)(3)(2)(3)(1) Flareon's body hisses, both in steam and in corrosion.
(4)(1) Flareon takes 1 dmg. 7/8hp.
-2 Str to Flareon.
Flareon speeds up and races around the giant snake in a whirlwind of fire. From the heat of the flames, which reach even Ventus on the sidelines, it was clearly a great idea to dampen that firepower right off.
Fire Spin
4 Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Canalize -2 acc -3 actions = 5 dice
(6)(4)(1)(5)(2)
2* Str + 1 STAB + 2 power -5 vit = 1 dice
(5) Apsis takes 1 dmg and is trapped in the vortex! 15/16hp.
This suits Apsis' plans just fine. The snake reaches out to Wrap Flareon in a burning embrace. But Flareon somehow senses it coming, and raises a fiery translucent shield!
Detect
4 Dex + 0 Survival +2 alert -4 actions = 3 dice
(2)(4)
Wrap
(4)(4) + (6*)
Flareon takes no damage, but now each Pokemon is intertwined with the other. That's great timing for Ventus as a trainer. Wrap is not a support move, since those cannot deal direct damage at all by definition. And extra effects are not prevented by Detect. Weird loophole! It makes some sense when you visualize it, though, since Apsis would simply tighten around Flareon. I'm not sure I like that interpretation but I'll stick with it for now. Might apply a case-by-case basis for it - some moves maybe don't have a chance at extra effects if the damage pool is 0, like Flamethrower and Bite?
Bite
(3)(3) Miss.
Flareon sinks its teeth into the snake wrapped around it.
Fire Fang
10 dice in the pool, -5 actions, -1 acc
(4)(2)(4)(4)
(3) No damage
Flinch: (4)(3)
Burn: (1)(2) Darn. It's evident from the trainer's reaction that this is what he was really hoping for with this move.
Wrap: Necklace won't affect this. Only moves that have a chance die effect right away. (4)(1) Flareon takes 1 dmg 6/8hp -1 pain.
Fire Spin: (1)(5) Apsis takes 1 dmg 14/16hp.

Little 4x4 Round 2
Tackle
(5)(5)
(5)(1) Vulpix goes sprawling from the much smaller Pokemon's Tackle! The fox gets up, but it's limping badly, and its trainer calls it back to his side. "Don't worry, Vulpix! My next Pokemon should be able to avenge you nicely!"
"Luckily I can use Poison Moves, if not any that apply the Poison Condition! Acid! Try to weaken it so you have a chance to dance!"
Acid
6 dice -2 actions = 4 dice
(3)(2)(2)(5)
2 Str + 2 power +1 Stab - 3 vit =2d6+1
(6)(5) Cherubi takes 3 damage! 1/6h
Chance: (2)
Cherubi is defeated!
It's 1v1, but Kyuu is asleep! The other trainer is ready to send out his new Pokemon.
Insight: (4)(4)(5) 3/5 necessary.

(I'll correct my notes in a little bit, then)
Still whispering. "Oh, uh...sorry. Guess it's not surprising you know already...probably learned a bit about what's there when you evolved, right? My bad. Anyways...
"...so you think my interpretation is slightly wrong? Hmmm...do you think it means Kirlia needs someone else to help him with that, then? That he can't do it alone? I'm not quite sure what the 'only other way' part means, but it's after the 'journey' bit, so maybe it's related to that?"

As for your final question, Slowking holds up two stubby fingers. Then he brings up the other paw, and one of the fingers "moves" onto that paw. He dramatically separates his hands, showing two SEPARATE fingers. He pretends to weigh these two hands as separate possibilities.

Whether it was due to the enervating effects of Apsis' Acid Spray, his own Draconic nature shining to the forfront, or just having an almost unbreakable levels composure, Ventus was completely unfazed by Flareon's much heated performance, and only offered a serene smile to Firestone. Meanwhile, his regal snake felt the polar opposite about last Round, as she very much didn't appreciate being trapped, set aflame, and denied by the fiery Eeveelution, as evident by the not quite Glare she gave them. She further showed her distaste and irritation by letting out a wicked *Hiiiiiiisssss!* , hopefully frightening the fox even more in the process, before they repeatidly lashed out with Bite after Bite attack! She will not be denied any longer!
Order: Three Bite Attacks this Round, with Ventus using a Potion once she gets to 12/16 HP or lower, as she want to show Flareon you do not mess around with the Queen on the battlefield!
Moves:
Bite
Accuracy: 7D6 - 1 Pain - 3/4/5 Actions = 3/2/1D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 - Vitality (4) = 1D6 Damage
