"Just to sate my own curiosity, how's the cleanup going back in Tandor? Everything going okay over there?"

Sheldon would know what Nathan's talking about.  Doubtful the crowd would, though.

It appears your guess was correct. The crowd is fidgeting a bit.

"It's going great. It'll be done very soon. Dagny actually sent a few of Creshire's Steel types to help. I actually chaperoned their return just now. And we have a few tame Pokemon from the disaster helping out. How do you even know about this, kid?"

Ventus mentally noted the two different variety of quick Incubators, internally scowling at 'side effects' of Alamanc's cheap but somewhat unwholesome/counterproductive (Which was nary hinted at on his serene and kind expression), before nodding to the receptionist, reaching into his satchel and pulling out $150, and handing it over to them. "My thanks for the information about the Incubators, as I'll certainly put it to good use once my I replenish my funds enough to afford such a purchase. Being a traveling researcher and funding your own basic cost of living is a rather strenuous ordel at times, but at least it give me the liberty to spend my funds however I choose!" he replied, before going over and grabbing one of the basic Incubators as the lady indicated, deftly opening it up, before moving towards the Black and Blue and carefully lifted it up, place it inside, and closed it up. Once it was registered as his Egg, he selected Michael's Pokeball to switched out for it place in his party, then, with his Egg now cradled in his arms in one form or another, the empath turned toward their guide and Shiva, and gave both them another nod of his head.

"I'm read to observe the nursey whenever you two are. I hardly wish to keep either of you waiting on my behalf any longer than necessary, so let us proceed, shall we?"[/b]

Now that was cute and interesting, as Shiva actually didn't expected Ven to pick up an egg and if, it'd be one of the Rare Dragon Types. On a second thought, why actually not, as she knew he has raised a precious Togekiss from an egg.

"Oh, sure, from my side we can proceed... I'll pick up the egg I've choosen later."

"I consider myself a bit more well read.  I've got a lot I could say on a lot of topics.  I think that's enough from me for now, though.  I'm sure everyone else has some more generic questions to ask still.  Good to hear everything's going well over there."

Maybe that would pique Sheldon's interest...

Heart sight then throw a potion to heal Koa. "We must focus in survive the next attack Koa. That Diglett is almost defeat so we must focus in survive the last attacks. Focus in avoid the last attack of Diglett, if he do Magnitude or Earthquake jump in the air since it can only hit in the ground. If is a direct attack from the front like Sludge Bomb, Bulldoze or Mudslap, focus in dodge in ground. Then when his guard is open, finish him with Scratch or Dual Chop. I let you decide what move is better to use Koa. I will trust in you judge buddy. We are a team, and a trainer must believe in his Pokemon. Show that mole what happens when you mess with a dragon!"

He gets over his mild surprise very quickly and moves on, not too impressed.

He has some questions for the crowd:

"What do you think is the greatest Steel type in Creshire?"
"What about the greatest Steel counter?"

Finally, he asks, "That's enough fun stuff for now... I want to know everyone's thoughts on the vines coming from the Ruins. Seems supernatural. What do you folks think about the cause? What are people saying?"

The Nursery is a surprisingly big room after the cozy confines of the Egg Room. Much of it has been babyproofed - covered in makeshift cushioning like throw pillows, blankets stapled to the walls, or great piles of leaves from a hyperactive young Chikorita. The lights flicker as you enter, revealing a Finneon glowing in the big pool with transparent sides. A Croagunk bathes his dry feet in the pool, which earns a wide berth from Spheal, Qwilfish, and a newly evolved Crocanaw. A trio of Carvanha have their own tank.

A glass terrarium, floor to ceiling, holds a stationary Silcoon stuck between a fake tree and glass. It's hard to even notice at first, and even harder to think how this could be a threat. A Vullaby perched outside the glass eyes the cocoon hungrily.

"As you can imagine, it is very difficult to keep all these Pokemon happy in a limited amount of space. We're forced to prioritize, giving the extra space to the most dangerous Pokemon, like Carvanha. This Wurmple...oh, excuse me, this Silcoon...it's fine when it's in cocoon form, but it has been afflicted with a strange form of Shed Skin. Whenever it sheds, it de-evolves. Before too long, it has evolved again. When it's a Beautifly, it's extremely stuckup and somewhat reluctant to obey. I hope she can find a home."

There's a clear pecking order in the room. An adorable Houndour pup, still with the rounded features and baby teeth of a puppy, is happily chasing a giggling Tyrogue. A second Tyrogue is menacing the smallest little Stunky kit, who cannot waddle fast enough to escape. It seems to be too young to defend itself properly, since whenever Tyrogue catches up, he picks it up by its tail until it squeals. Your harried tour guide is too busy shouting at a Swinub who has torn up the floor and is rooting around in the dirt.

Others in the room include a sad Charmander, a litter of young Meowth (Ventus notices a Pokecoin with a distinctive scratch on it - it's one he gave to Freddy earlier), a Grimer, a Voltorb in a Faraday cage, a wide-awake Hoothoot, a Nosepass, a Snorunt, and a Turtwig.

"Not all of these - SWINUB, I WON'T WARN YOU AGAIN - not all of these are too disobedient yet. They or their species must show a predilection toward disobedience to qualify for shelter. Some are just a handful because they're young. Any that you're interested in, you may play with in the other room, or I will simply tell you their stories."

Nathan just stays quiet up until that last question.

"Nothing natural about it, Sheldon.  I just got back from talking with Dagny about that exact topic.  Scary stuff."

That would probably catch his attention.

Great interaction with Koa. +1 XP.

The Circumnavigator Round 4

"Diglett, one good hit ought to do it! It's Magnitude, one last time!"

Magnitude
Power: (6)
(5) Oo, it's a foreboding rumbling of the earth that comes toward Koa. This should easily be enough to knock him out...will he listen to Heart's warning?

Evasion
5 dice -2 actions = 3 dice
(5)(3)(5) Koa jumps up into the air at exactly the right moment, perfectly responsive to Heart's shout! He beams back at his master. His claws gleam, and he leaps for Diglett. The next Magnitude MUST be weaker, if Diglett survives to try it. Koa is confident now.

Scratch
(2)(4) Just needs to roll 1 success.
2* Str +2 power -1 vit = 3 dice
(2)(1)(5) That does it! Diglett faints.

The Circumnavigator sends out another Diglett! Koa's eyes burn a little bit red...this one is male!

+1 Loyalty to Koa. The trainer's plan worked. And Koa is VERY ready for this next Diglett!

Weird. This was very weird.

A lot about the Nursery Room - basically almost all - was something Shiva already knew, but at first she wasn't able to cotton on from where. It gave her a familiar feeling, although the room she knew was bigger and less chaotic like in this case...

Wait a moment, that must be it: The room her father stores/keeps the shortly hatched Pokemom until they'll be picked up by the people who requested them was almost exactly the same. She remembers that she spend a lot of time there, just playing with the Pokemon and bonding with a particular Eevee that seemingly grew a liking on her. Seeing this room, the Nursery of the Shelter, gave her mixed feelings: A warm feeling of being reminded of home, followed by a slightly sad feeling due to homesickness and increased by subliminal gloom that hovered in the air here, as well as delight that at least some of the Pokemon enjoy their stay here. Especially that Swinub. ...Nothing of this unexpected reaction to the Nursery was visible on Shiva though, as she did a fine job to conceal them and simply hoped that Ventus would be either too busy to pick it up with his empathy or be insightful enough to NOT comment or ask her about it if he does.

Hearing about a rejected Wurmple with a strange form of Shed Skin didn't help, as she could imagine it was hard to get along with such a Pokemon. Another thing that caught her eye/attention - maybe much to Ventus' and probably even more to her own suprise - was that young Stunky. Not only because she remembers that shiny Stunky he showed her before he traded it away (she still has the photo of it), but also because she felt an urge to simply pick it up and carry it away to protect it from being intimidated, mistreated by that Tyrogue and simply not left alone - if it just wasn't a Poison Type. Somehow, Shiva felt both sorry for that Pokemon and bad for herself. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea anymore to take a tour through the Shelter...

It took a little until she felt well enough to even speak up, before she turned towards the receptionist. Even if Shiva cannot touch that Stunky, she could still do something to make it feel a little better, can she...? "Uhm, listen... I arranged with Lil' Freddy to sell fresh fruit one of my Pokemon grows to this place everday and hopefully be able to continue to do so via the PCs when I leave Stair City. I was wondering if it could be done that the youngest one of this group - that Stunky there *discretly points to it* does certainly receive a part of it? Not that the others eat it away before this one can have a bite... Also, where does it originate from?"
