(This post was last modified: 10-22-2017, 07:30 PM by Lord Windos.)
The sociologist calmly observed the haggle of roudy and semi-Disobediant young Pokémon, listening to his guide's brief but succient run down of the small Nursery and the associated trouble with such a place. He raised an eyebrow at the 'unique' condition that Silcoon had, though he was not too surprised to hear about its unfortunate circumstance; after seeing Yena this morning (And remembering Omanyte/Delta Houndour), he'd come to expect that aberant Pokémon were just another facet of Cheshire, one that he'd have to investigate in depth later on. Ventus was also keen to notice that a young Meowth had somehow managed to snag a Poke from Freddy and the Stunky being bullied by a Tyrogue, causing a look of bemusement to appear on his face for both discoveries. He was impressed with the former's thievery skills, and he didn't like Stunkies to begin with in later case!
When the receptionist had finish her speech on the place, the researcher decided that now would be the time to voice a few suggestions of his about concerning how to better manage the children here. "Hmm...if these young ones are as exuberant and rowdy as they are now, I imagine the adults here are even harder to discipline. Based I what I already have seen, however, I do think I have thought of a few way to better manage their behavior. To begin, I believe playing some form of soothing and/or cheerful music would greatly improve their mood and help more ill temper Pokémon here relax. Its relatively cheap to install a conceled and remote controlled audio system from what I recall, but having a radio around and someone monitoring it should suffice too. Getting a large enough bucket and filling it with water for Crogunk to dip his feet into would allow it to re-hydrate without warding off the Pokémon in the pool and curb any resentment from such an action, and it would be handy to have around in case a Fire type accidently torches on item or another Pokémon."
"My suggestion for the Silcoon is calling up Dr. Mallorn and showing it to him yourself, as he's quite interested in abnormal species of Pokémon himself, and studying how this Bug type devolves might help him and others further their understanding of Evolution in general. I'm sure he would give you a fair enough Donation for it, and I can arrange such a deal if such a thing doesn't go against Shelter policy. For the bully Tyrouge, I could possibly help out with discouraging said behavior by letting my Arbok - she's perfectly obedient and a sweetheart, so don't worry about her causing harm to them - intimidate them a bit, or for them to work off some of that energy by wailing on her durable scales after we tour the place in full."
"Buying some mushrooms and rewarding Swinub with them for good behavior would be an expeidant way to stop it from digging up the floor, as I believe its looking for such treats to begin with. Encouraging Charmmander to play around with Houndour and the other Tyrouge and bond with them would be a great way to improve their mood, or having someone spend time with it could work wonders as well. I would need to interact with the first to see what is exactly troubling them to give more specific advice, but I would first like to finish my tour of the rest of the Shelter first before I do so. Oh, and before I forget, one of those Meowth has managed to snag some of the Poke I gave to Freddy out front, so it might be best to tie some bells to their wrists and give them other shiny object to curb their thievery. Either that, or giving them some bowls of milk and balls of twines to reward and reinforce good behavior, as that always seemed to do the trick with the Purrlion and Leipard I've worked with in the past."
"As for their stories, I would be happy to hear them, if you are not in a rush for time! I didn't see anyone else man the desk area, so I hate to potentially keep you from fulfilling your job any longer than I have to!" the empath said in one long take, drawing upon his many hours of lecturing and explaining himself to his peers in order to do so clearly and concisely. Unfortunately(?), due to his focus on the receptionist, the surrounding Pokémon, and his mind being on the topic of how to improve this place, he didn't notice Shiva's sudden turn into the melacolic, though he did note her offer to help support the bullied Stunky with barely a hint of surprise. What she does with it is entirely up to her, so long as she does not try to involve him into the matter; he'd had enough experiences with the species line to last a lifetime, Kyurem damn them all!
Order: Offer advice to Lady, offer to bond/play/other with Charmmander and Bully Tyrouge later, and just trying to be kind and unobtrusive in general! He's here to help out and to learn more about the place, so why not do these things?

Great interaction with Koa. +1 XP.
The Circumnavigator Round 4
"Diglett, one good hit ought to do it! It's Magnitude, one last time!"
Magnitude
Power: (6)
(5) Oo, it's a foreboding rumbling of the earth that comes toward Koa. This should easily be enough to knock him out...will he listen to Heart's warning?
Evasion
5 dice -2 actions = 3 dice
(5)(3)(5) Koa jumps up into the air at exactly the right moment, perfectly responsive to Heart's shout! He beams back at his master. His claws gleam, and he leaps for Diglett. The next Magnitude MUST be weaker, if Diglett survives to try it. Koa is confident now.
Scratch
(2)(4) Just needs to roll 1 success.
2* Str +2 power -1 vit = 3 dice
(2)(1)(5) That does it! Diglett faints.
The Circumnavigator sends out another Diglett! Koa's eyes burn a little bit red...this one is male!
+1 Loyalty to Koa. The trainer's plan worked. And Koa is VERY ready for this next Diglett!
The Circumnavigator Round 6
"YEAH! THAT WAS AWESOME KOA! WOHOO!" Heart cheer up Koa from the amazing teamwork they do. Then he see the next Pokemon, a Diglett. "For now Koa, you must rest a bit." He heard Koa give a exasperation sight. Heart knows how much proud Koa is and pat his head a little. "I know, I know, you are excited to continue fighting, but I still need you if something might happen. Besides, you must let the others still fight too remember? Gustav and Rose must train a bit remember? If you want, you can watch the battle out from the Pokeball. You might like to learn from the battle (leave that decision to you Iroh if Koa want to watch the battle or rest in the pokeball). Now lets go, Gustav!" Then Heart brings his water crab who jump in the air, excited to begin the battle. "Gustav are you ready buddy? First lets begin with Bubbles, then we go with Crabhammer! But if Diglett use a strong attack, or a super effective move, dodge then you use Bubbles in the of Crabhammer! We must finish that battle with not so much injuries since we dont know what is his last Pokemon!"

Even if Shiva cannot touch that Stunky, she could still do something to make it feel a little better, can she...? "Uhm, listen... I arranged with Lil' Freddy to sell fresh fruit one of my Pokemon grows to this place everday and hopefully be able to continue to do so via the PCs when I leave Stair City. I was wondering if it could be done that the youngest one of this group - that Stunky there *discretly points to it* does certainly receive a part of it? Not that the others eat it away before this one can have a bite... Also, where does it originate from?"
"Tyrogue! You know that Stunky will grow up to fire poison out of...there, you know that! Yes, if we have a lack of fresh food, the Pokemon take it in turns. We don't let anyone starve here...though sometimes that's about all we can promise. This Stunky came from a trainer who lives on the slopes of Mt. Sentry. He was breeding for a bigger Stunky. This guy's older brother turned out just right. APPARENTLY only perfect Pokemon are worth the love to overcome disobedience."
"As for Croagunk, he just kicks over buckets. We have a little bot in the pool that slowly cleans it, which is better than nothing. But I love the music idea! Why, I'll hook my Pokepod up right now! What shall I play? Spritzee Spin? Ninjask Jazz? If I play Pokemon Lullaby now they probably won't nap later. Tyrogue would probably be happy to attack a bigger opponent - that's what they're SUPPOSED to do. These are all great ideas!"
When we finish the tour, you can make that a training session for Arbok if you wish. And +1 XP to Ventus for really playing that Sociologist.
The receptionist takes you aside while Shiva is watching the young Pokemon. "I, er, wouldn't want to interfere with anything...or assume anything about your relationship to the young lady...but with all the help you're giving us on this tour, won't you take a Mystery Egg for free? She had her eye on more than one, I'm positive..."

Diglett B: (4)
Gustav: (4)
The Circumnavigator Round 6
Gustav scuttles onto the battlefield. Immediately, you notice that the field has become mucky and swampy. Gustav has to be very careful where he goes!
As the crustacean is learning this, Diglett comes plowing over right into him, sending up a wave of mud!
Bulldoze
(6)(4)(4)(5)(1)
2 Str + 2 power +1 STAB -3 vit = 2 dice
(3)(2)
-1 Dex for Gustav
Gustav's growing Bubble wards off the worst of the attack. Both are big area moves.
Bubble
(4)(5)(4)
3 Str + 2 power +1 STAB -2 vit = 4d6+1
(6)(1)(5)(3) Diglett takes 3 dmg 2/5hp -2 pain.
Diglet is sent upward in a wave of extra-liquid mud! Gustav brings his big claw up to knock Diglett out of the park!
Crabhammer
(4)
3 Str + 3 power + STAB -2 vit = 5d6+1
(3)(4)(1)(2)(2) Diglett faints!
What Pokemon will you use for the final battle? Circumnavigator has his final Pokeball hefted!

'Appearantly only perfect Pokemon are worth the love to...' Screw that. There was another emotion arising in Shiva for a moment, it was wrath towards that Trainer.
The highest of feelings for her was to pick one of the Pirsif-berry-cookies she still had and step into range of that Stunky to offer it to the young one. It's pretty obvious that she won't let any other Pokemon snatch the cookie away from Stunky unless they want to mess with her. Due to all that, she didn't even notice how the receptionist took Ven aside.

"That was...surprise easy. Super effective works a lot I think." Heart was surprise how much easy and quick Gustav defeat that Diglett. "Good job out there too Gustav! You and Koa are a awesome pokemons!" Heart say giving both of them positive fingers. "I must remember to buy something neat to reward you too. Now, he have one last pokemon. Time to bring my last Pokemon. Go Rose!" Then Hear bring his last: The Fire Monferno Princess, Rose. She was begin, but she feel the mud ground. "Watch out Rose. That place its a bit complicated to move, but I believe with your agility we might able to overcome this. Okay, we both ready to your last pokemon man!"

"If the Poison type loathes buckets, having a spirtz bottle filled with clean water might suffice instead, if its capable of using tools to begin with that is. I'm partial to Ninjask Jazz myself, and I believe it would be an excellent start, but the best music for the task of calming down or increasing the positive mood of the children here is to experiment and see what they like, before creating a playlist for those purposes. Me and my Arbok would love to help you out with Tyrogue later as well, as I know how tenacious the breed can get if they are not given a good fight every once in awhile!" he easily replied, joy lighting his expression as he felts his words both cheer up the receptionist from her previously stressed out state of mind and being able to offer positive advice. He just love being able to help people whenever he can, though he's more aware of the fact that he has to temper such 'euthesiam' at times instead of letting said desire run rampant, like he did in the past...
When the lady lead him a little bit away and made their suggestion, both of the sociolgist's eyebrows shot up his forhead for a brief moment in surprise, before he school his expression back to his pleasant and polite existence, but their was just a ting of sadness the lingered in his smile for a few seconds longer before he responded. "I would be honored to accept such generousity, my friend. If you could, register the Dark Purple Egg in Shiva's Name/ID (Or whichever one that Phantom decides she wants instead!) and present it to her as an surprise gift after she's done with the tour. I'm sure she'll be delighted to have another Egg to look after, so again I thank you for your generosity..."
Order: Accept the Mystery Egg offer for Shiva, and set it up as a surprise for her at the end of the Tour! Afterwards, Ven will indicate that he would like to continue his tour of the place, if either Shiva or the receptionist doesn't mind!

(Yes, Shiva has nothing against continuing the Tour. But if it gets to the Discipline Room, she'll discretly imply prefering to stay in the Play Room. If it's possible to use this Room with Poochyena or Pancham at all, that is!)

Omnomnomnom. Tyrogue sees the light in Shiva's eyes and doesn't mess with Stunky until the cookie is all gone.
The sounds of upbeat jazz start wafting through the Nursery, and a lot of the Pokemon start to dance! The Chikorita is over there snapping off leaf attacks to the beat. The Houndour has put its paws up on Tyrogue's shoulders in mock dancing. Croagunk's poison sacs are pulsing to the beat.
"Next we'll visit the Tool Room".
This is set up like a Supermarket mixed with a library. Everything has a barcode on it so they can track down trainers who make off with their stuff!
"We have Soothe Bells, Ranc Berries, and a variety of toys for Pokemon. We have grooming tools, massage tools, a palate-testing kit, blinders, weighted blankets, stress balls, fidget toys - all things that help make a Pokemon calmer. We also have some disciplinary tools like this shock collar. Don't worry, it doesn't go up very high. Bonus: Have an electric Pokemon hold it as a reward mechanism. We rent out Focus Sashes or Focus Bands, not sure which, to make Pokemon less likely to faint. We run an adventure camp for Pokemon and trainers to bond - here's the camping equipment. Luxury Balls. Friendship bracelets. Oh, and this item in this locked cabinet is super secret - will you promise not to tell anyone you can't trust?"
