It was true however, didn't Ven said something about that that guy with the Flareon he battled told something about a run-in with the Director can be done in special cases? This was a special case as it seemed... The inner conflict of what was right and wrong began, being watched by a very coyly growing feeling of confidence. Hope. That she doesn't have to part ways with that particular Unovian Pokemon and its skill to depict constallations in visions... Or was that feeling just another aftermath of the witnessed vision for Shiva? Did she stay too long in the Pokemon's presence and got her mind befogged? No, actually not... If Shiva'd react negatively to psychic power, she'd have noticed it already way earlier.

You see, I wouldn't want to put you through stress by occassional visions. Have you already worked with this species during your college time? I'd be happy to hear about it to make her feel better with me and eventually see me as her Master. Maybe. Later~" The last sentence was underlined by a faint cutesy smile on a tilted head.

Even if I don't have enough money to bring Gothitelle under my care just now, there are ways if I look through what can be sold for profit..." Additionally, if she was taging along to sell the fruit to Lil' Freddy everyday at all, she might as well throw in some working hours at this Shelter, preferably at the Nursery. Or simply that part that demanded the most.

As for Gothitelle herself, she notices that Shiva was giving her a calm and considering look, like if she's silently saying "Please think about us two again. I wouldn't enjoy ruthlessly forcing you to cross your drawn line to travel with me that much, but I'd very much appreciate it if you'd mull over giving me a chance. May the stars guide our path..."

'There it is yet again- that twin tailed, dualistic emotional pattern that pervades her mind.... Very strange, but unlike a similar phenomena exhibited by Nathan's apathy, it doesn't seem to have a deleterious affect on her thought pattern or behavior. Hmm....' the researcher thought, picking up the sudden distortion in Shiva's usual quisent emotional/mental state, as well as the distinct feelings of hope, expectation, and just a bare hint of nervous aniexty....  . Ventus soon turned to face them and their inquisitive glance with one of his own, before she expounded upon what caused her feelings to rapidly shift in the first place.

He listened patiently, displaying no signs of disappointment nor irritation at her desire to acquire Gothitelle for herself, for he had none of it at all for such an idea, and ended up giving content smile to show his approval more overtly and saying : "Despite my earlier reaction, it was the unexpectness and broadness of the vision that inflicted a near migrane on me more so that the fortune teller's use of her powers in the first place. Now that I'm aware of this, I should be able to spot and deaden my empathetic sense and raise my mental defenses to whether such vision occurs, especially if Gothitelle gives me prior warning, and eventually re-build my resistence to the species unique powers. Yes, I've worked with a couple back in Castelia, but the bulk of my interaction with the line was during my Middle to High School years, as I frequently sought the company of a few in  the city to help guide my path into the future, or offer me small morsels of advice if they are able to. As you know, those years of my life were......difficult for me, so I greatly appreciate the species talents and the aid they give others with them. Worry not, my friend, for I should get along fine with them."

It was for those reasons and more why Ventus isn't troubled by or despises Precognition/Postcognition in any way, shape or form like he does with other arcane and/or mystical arts/practices/etc.. They helped supported him at the time when he most needed it, and he's seen that their powers are not even remotely malicious unless its the nature/topic of their visions, so they and other Pokémon with abilities like them were not a problem with him! Well, besides the occasional headache he received from them on accident, unfortunately....

Kingdra shrugs! That's pretty good from such a lordly Pokemon. The Pokemon probably doesn't believe you entirely, but feels it has nothing to lose.

"I can let you have Kingdra for $5500 too. It eats a lot more than Gothitelle, but other than that it's easy to take care of. Its physical needs, I mean."

With his vast knowledge  Dragon types and how colourfully stubborn they tend to be, Ventus knew that his offer went over spectacularly, and inclined their head once more to Kingdra. "Very well, I'll see what I can do from my end to release you from this captivity, and into my own. I'll let leave you be until I have a definite answer on the matter, so until then Kingdra, I wish you the best, and pray for Reshirim and Zekrom to guide you to even greater power," the sociologist said, before walking back towards the receptionist and inquiring about the price of releasing the sea dragon into their ownership. As expect, it was rather costly, but compared to the cost of those Rare Eggs and some of the other purchases he'd seen on his travels, he believes that he could aquire that much money within a week's time, if he worked hard at it.

Order: Continue the tour, and set up a meeting with Director North and try to finagle Kingdra into my party somehow, without autoing my character for a week doing odd jobs around Stair. I'm willing to work for that Kingdra, but if their is an more expedient way...

Gothitelle considers, then nods at Shiva. But she closes her eyes and points her fingers in a gesture of careful warning, too. Shiva knows that a Gothitelle is no small responsibility and comes with its own struggles. And baggage, lots of baggage.

In Tandor, we normally battle in the "faint or forfeit" style. Bonus points from me if you use Pokemon that are common in Creshire or rare in Tandor."

Sweet, Sheldon actually is up for a quick battle!  Now Nathan's starting to get a little more excited.

"How about I go for double bonus points and show ya two pokemon that are rare even here as well as in Tandor (besides Kirlia.  He'd rather sit this one out.)?  The first isn't super duper rare since his base stage is fairly common around here, but he's got some unique traits, and I bet he's eager to try out his new capabilities since I evolved him this morning.  The second...well, I won't spoil the surprise.  I'm sure he's itching to battle, though."

"As for money, sure, we can put up a little.  300 or 400 sound good?"

Accuracy: 3 Dex + 3 Fight + 2 Canalize - 2 Actions = 6 D6 (this is what we're using for Curse's accuracy since we're not using Will for it, right?)
Effect: +1 Strength and Defense, -1 Dex.  Still have a higher initiative than Daikatuna though, lol.

Hearing THAT only raised that carefully hopeful feeling lingring somewhere untraceable in Shiva to some degree, along with the relief that Ven would have nothing against a Gothitelle in the party. All this was expressed by a thankful smile for the receptionist which grew into a delighted grin alongside she carefully entangling one arm of hers around one of his in a half-hug as soon as she moved the gaze on to the oddball of sociologist beside her. "Thank you for looking into it, and thanks to you Ven for bringing this idea up... We two will be there tomorrow morning then, in our best clothes and behaviour by an early subway. Don't we, Ven?~" Shiva's emotional state now kinda reflected these words, showing anticipation with traces of anxiety weaved in however.

Gothitelle... Or Lilith, as Shiva already suggested earlier as a matching nickname towards the Pokemon, actually received an appreciating and respectful bow from her. It may have agreed to give her a chance, but that waa actually just the very first step and not the last one. Responsibilities... Only now Shiva realized that she was carrying a huge responsibility from the day that she stepped into Professor Mallorn's lab: All her Pokemon rely on her. Not only for health and wellbeing, but also for love and care. Something she has been giving them subliminally always without asking questions. There seems to be a lot of love inside Shiva to be shared.
