[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"Gothitelle are all dangerous. They know a lot about their trainers that could be compromising. They sometimes commit to powerful manipulations or schemes just to avoid an outcome known only to them. And this one knows many important things, we believe. Our friend Gothitelle knows several powerful moves: Psyshock, Future Sight, Telekinesis, Magic Room, and the dangerous Heal Block. Her only incident involve targeting our Rotom with Magic Room when he dared to cross that line of hers."

"Ventus, I would not release a dangerous Pokemon to anyone who did NOT show evidence of their qualifications. Your skill with the Dragons definitely qualifies you, though of course you must still be careful, please! I was told how you handled your Arbok, and I'd like to see your skill with Noibat before you go. Maybe just a quick one-round battle between Noibat and my Chansey."

"Assuming that goes well, your offer is more than generous! I'd like to counter with this: 6 eight hour days serving at the Shelter. You'd have one day off in that week. Whenever you please. I'd have you doing anything from menial chores like cleaning all the way to counseling attempts with some of our patients. And please do contact Mallorn for us, though I hear he is very self-serving when it comes to Pokemon and business."

"Kirlia?  Solomon?  You able to glean anything from that?"

Solomon just keeps staring at the Unown with a half smile. Kirlia conveys to you that they feel fear, and not a small amount of pride.

Fear...and pride?  Hmmmm...that's an odd combination...they do say Unown are stronger in large groups...

"Does that mean the Unown still in the Ruins have achieved something?  Something powerful?"

Kirlia doesn't think that's quite it, but he motions like "Kinda close."

"Oh... That's what you mean by dangerous... In that case, please rest assured that I wouldn't call this particular Gothitelle 'bad' or something when she does that manipulation. In fact, when I came here yesterday, she showed me of these manipulations I guess? It was a vision of constellation - it was very fascinating for me. I wouldn't want to permit doing this to her, my goal would instead be to make sure none who wouldn't want a vision has to ensure one..."

"Ehm... However, what I wanted to say... Just like Ventus, I am very willing to work for this Shelter to pay off the fine. I also own a Tropius and agreed with Lil' Freddy to sell the fruit this Pokemon regrows everday to this Shelter - I'll give them for free additionally, add the money I'd get for them to paying for the adoption fine. I said that my father owns a Daycare, yes? I've grown up with Pokemon, plus I'm rather decent in making Pokemon Food out of berries, whatever may be needed... You make the terms, I'll adapt to that, I'm fine to start working right there tomorrow until I can pay for both the Gothitelle and one Mystery Egg. Currently, it's registered to my ID and OT. If it means that I'll be exhausted to bits every evening when coming back to the GPC, so be it then... If it's mandatory to prove myself by hard work, then I'll do so. Also, ehm, you brought up the idea of a battle... It'd be okay for me if I'd have to prove myself this way too."

Mechanics:
I'd be down to have Shiva work for the same conditions like Ventus (starting the next in-game day) + give the fruit for free during this job, until she is able to pay for both the Gothitelle and the pink Mystery Egg, @Iron. Plus, I mentioned earlier that I'd like to test Tropius under Sunny Weather at some point... If it'd be legal for me to assume that Shiva swapped her party a little at the GPC before heading to the Shelter, maybe that battle could occur now?

Probably as close as he was going to get with what he has to work with as well.  He wasn't sure if it was a good or bad sign, but something was up with the Unown in the Ruins, it seems...

"Thank you for your time, Unown.  Sorry to hear what a few of you have been through."

Back to Rotom...it's still in that panel, right?

"Well, you and Porygon-Z seemed to hit it off rather well.  What would you say to maybe coming along with us, Rotom?  I think Porygon-Z would love to have some like-minded company."

Normal types in Mount Sentry. Probably some grass types if you have a plan for risking the vines. Ghost Pokemon in the Ruins, though that's not recommended for solo trainers.

(I go south. Want find a Nidorino or Nidorina. Love the evolution lines.)
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Porygon-Z nods approvingly.

With Porygon in your party, a single success is enough to convince Rotom to leave the Shelter for the world beyond. The panel lights up with "Warming!" and Rotom's face smiles with broad pleasure.

The price on Rotom is $3050, since they kinda want to get rid of him!

Indeed, Heart finds a Nidorino roaming the broad plains south of the mountains! You spot it before it spots you, but you're still a quarter mile away. It's eating milkweed flowers right now, just going to town on row upon row of them.

Shiva can get the same deal for Gothitelle as Ventus has. She has enough cash on hand to purchase the pink egg already, so that can be its own deal. The Director agrees to battle you both. "I have a PC right here you can use. We'll have the battles in the playroom - remember, just one round each, against my Chansey. I'd like to see you handle Espurr or Kadabra, Shiva, since they are disobedient species."

Dang.  He's a little short.  Getting the remaining funds or covering the remainder of the cost somehow shouldn't be too difficult though, right?  He only needs a little over 1k...he could maybe make that in a day or two without too much trouble if he put some effort into it...though he does still need some cash on hand 'just in case' as well...

Well, he'd work something out.  Now then...Ventus and Shiva were...right, talking with...the director?  Actually, thinking about it...they'd never said why they were, did they?

Well, better wait for the two of them...
