[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Actually, as I recall, the appliances in the 4th gen games disappear when Rotom uses them to change form, and reappear when it emerges.

And then gens 5+ just stuck them all in random boxes that a fridge and a lawnmower clearly can't fit in...

Huh. That's odd. The writers gave Pluck a 'never fail' effect. I wonder if that's a typo or intentional...maybe intentional, since it's in the 1.2 version as well, but that's a rather odd deign choice since it doesn't match up with the games...(and it means there's 0 reason to use Aerial Ace if you know Pluck)

I thought the same thing. Pluck is strictly better than Wing Attack AND Aerial Ace.

Which is a little silly imo when only one of those three moves is strictly worse than the other 2 in the games (though you can argue Aerial Ace is the best of the 3 because its effect is the most consistently useful. Berry stealing is a really niche effect.)

That berry-stealing would neatly prevent Natural Gift from being used if having prepared for it. Ugh.

Yup, but it only really matters in the event Natural Gift would actually be effective against something you're planning to use against the Natural Gift user in question.

Shame Bug Bite and Pluck are mediocre as damaging moves on pokemon without Technician (Scizor is the only pokemon that uses Bug Bite competitively because nobody uses offensive Smeargle or Kricketune. And nothing with Technician (except Smeargle) learns Pluck naturally, either).  Unnerve is easily the most common way to shut down berry usage in environments where they're common (doesn't prevent Natural Gift from being used, though, since it only prevents eating berries), since it at least doesn't take up a move slot.

All Pokemon that learn Pluck naturally or for via ? are at least partly Flying Type (except Inkay). Shouldn't be too hard to counter them if they try to use Pluck against Tropius if Shiva gives a frozen berry to him. ^^ (of course Natural Gift is only single use in battle, Harvest restores a used berry 'at the end of the day' in PokeRole)

Raticate also says hi!

Ah yes, Harvest: the ability that lets the pokemon emulate what Tropius can do even without the ability.  Though a Harvest Tropius can probably grow more than one type of berry...

Heart decides to the evolution aids floor. He was hoping to find a moon Stone when he decides evolve Caesar in Nidoqueen. And take a look in the others floors: Pokémon Toys, Training Aids, eletronics, crafting items and Almanac items (he is curious to see what they have).

You mean Nidoking, right?

I'd expect Moon Stones to be rather expensive at the typical price of $2100

...if they're even available in the first place.  There's not a single pokemart in the main series games that sells Moon Stones.  Join Avenue is the only place in the entire series that sells them, and that's super specialty (and also completely random.  You don't even know if it's a Moon Stone or a Hard Stone until you've purchased the rock and dusted it off).

Though I guess Tandor's Department Store also sells them... (only on Mondays, though)

You could also purchase one of Almanac's 'specialty alternatives' I guess...but that's at your own risk. Don't know what kind of side effects that might have yet.
