The empath shrugged his shoulders at the collector's apology and gave him a warm smile to show that, while he didn't necessarily liked being delayed in heading towards Arrowroot, his choose to wait didn't bother him overtly. His next line of response, however, earned him a suddenly concerned look from Ventus, as he didn't need his empathy to know that whatever he was alluding to was not pleasant thinking for him in the slightest. "......I understand that desire all to well, my friend. Whenever you wish to speak myself, I will be willing to lend you my ear, no matter what. Enough of that dourness for now, though; what are you planning on doing until the Ponyta arrive?"

Shiva was welcoming Heart with a open gesture and a faint smile. She may be scary and prone to overreact if triggered badly, but there was nothing new about her kind and compassionate side. Oh, little did she know that he has owning a Nidorino with Poison Point... "Oh, no worries... Thanks for being so dear to honestly aplogize, really." Her senses were telling her that he meant what he said without having to concentrate... How relieving to know.

At his final sentance as well as the more serious and darker(?) mood he displayed then, she mentally facepalmed. More dark backstories? That she deserves to know and listen to? What was she, a dumpster for people's tragic past? Well well, not that she's going to deny if he came on his own. "...If you... want and see need, sure we can talk... later though. When everything is over, as you say." Still,  it'd be lying to say that Shiva was not...scared. She was rather unsure whether she could handle more of this, and at the same time she thanked Reshiram and Zekrom that she had a safe home in Castelia, with parents and a sweet Umbreon waiting for her. Normality... Seems like calmness was not the only thing she was supposed to bring to the group.

Mentally, Shiva sighs HEAVILY. Yes, she was still down to wait for the Ponyta arriving at noon, but the more she mulled over it, the sooner she actually would like to depart. Probably because she'll only worry and overthink things until then. Heading back to sleep may alos be an option as it was still relatively early, but now, with her mind awake and alarmed, it was like madness to believe she would find some proper rest now. Nathan also did a fine job soft-bereaving her of her will to just GO AND SET THESE VINES ON FIRE WITH HER MAGICAL FOX, as they seemingly had enough firepower (still, it's not like every bit of help would be wasted) and it'd be a better call to save any energy for the journey.

She needed that deep breath just now, before giving Nathan an expression that displayed ... mild surrender, as she'll certainly not going to object in front of Dagny again. This all was tirering.

"Well then... If that's so, I'll head to the Center then meanwhile... Maybe along the way catching a glimpse on the situation... I'll make sure to come back here to the Gym in time. Nathan, you'll certainly getting along with Kirlia meanwhile alone. Good luck then... As well as many thanks for your support and hosting us so early in the morning, Dagny." Next, focusing her attention on a familiar sociologist. "Ven, can you...well, come with me please? You have the keys of our room I guess, there's still equipment from us in there." All that was said in a faintly weaker tone, all she hoped for was that he'll tag along, even just for short to pack up their stuff from the dorm.

Mechanics:
If that's the call, my conditions for a 2vs2 Double Battle (see Mechanics of a previous post of mine) are still standing, @Iron. Dunno, maybe against a student of Telperion Extension who's on the way to class? Or someone who's training for Little Cup.
[b]quick 2vs2 Double Battle on they way to the Center - Kyuu and Yena on my side. 200$ + 1 Antidote from Shiva's side is the wagger (that means, 300$ for her if she wins), no fainting and no poisoning again, Iron. This is mostly for the sake of collecting some missing XP for a third point in Crafts for Shiva and Fake Out on Espurr + Suprise on Yena.[/b]

The student, one Darius Doros, accepts Antidote as $100 wager. He's studying to be a nurse, and he plans to let his Happiny hold it. Holding healing items makes her happy even though she can't use them (yet?).

"Look, I think it's better for us all in the long run if I take the time to talk to Kirlia now and give him time to process while we're on the trip.  We have a little less than 5 hours to kill before Stable Z gets here.  Plenty of time to make any final preparations.  Valder can pick up two of the Ponyta, I'll introduce them, and then whoever wants to not ride on a metagross later will have the option to.  The horses will even have a proper saddle and everything since they're coming straight from the ranch."

Nathan gets ready to leave and conduct his final preparations.

"Thank you for your help, Dagny.  It's been invaluable.  I'll do my best to not let everyone down.  Shiva, Heart, Ventus, Valder, I'll meet you back here when Stable Z arrives."


And then he's off to find a battle after swapping Grid out for Yule at the gym's PC. (if nobody has anything else to say right now, that is)

Kirlia needs to keep honing his psychic powers to learn Hypnosis, Calam needs to see a little more action still, Nathan needs 1k for Rotom to get him out of the city if at all possible...a good battle seems like a decent solution right now.

Let's kick it up a notch and go find a $1000, no fainting 2v2 for Calam and Kirlia!

"Well, seems like I need to break the tie, then...my final vote is we wait for the Ponyta, then.  We probably all have some prep to do or some task that needs to be done before leaving for Arrowroot.  I, for one, want to try and get just a little more training in for Kirlia before leaving, and I should have some time to talk to him myself afterwards before...getting started.  The sooner I can talk to him, the better, and he's not going to want to sit on a metagross for even a second, I can tell you that much."

"Valder, you have some space in your party, right?  You can hold on to a couple of my mom's Ponyta, and I've got Swiftfire and Yule already, so that's...four non-metagross mounts if I'm counting correctly.  Anyone rather sit on a metagross the whole way?"

Shaking his head and letting out a grumble in disappointment that the group was (in his mind) needlessly delaying their departure, Ventus never the less did not make much more of a fuss than that. Truth be told, he didn't think waiting a few hours would be that detrimental to Stair City's current delimena involving those insidious Vines, and the time spent waiting for Stable Z could be afforded to more preparations for their hasty journey towards Arrowroot, so he was to readily accept this course of action.

Now, since you have decided to wait for the Ponyta, I will take my leave and see if I can't ferret out more resources for our journey ahead, and meet up with you all in front of the Gym, or whatever location you choose for the group to re-unite and ready for depature. Hopefully the extra time of preparation would outwieght the time lost in beginning their journey....

Order: Ventus is going to more or less ride Metagross non-stop no matter what, so he's perfectly fine in that area. As for this Encounter slot, he's going to meander over to the Library to find some form of work to get Poke/Supplies, before re-uniting with the group at wherever they will be at. Let make haste and get on with the plot, shall we?

Heart hears a young woman calling for her Skitty! It happens to run by him, full tilt right between his legs, and he nabs it (getting a few minor scratches in the process). 

The girl runs up, arms already outstretched for her Pokemon! "Skitty has a lot of energy to work off...thank you so very much! Would you know anyone who would want to have a battle to help wear her out? You would? No fainting though, please... Great! A bet? Oh, OK..."

"Alright, I get to the task at hand then, sir. I'll take the $200 Poke, as I need the cash more right now than a sleep curing agent, I'm afraid to say," Ventus said, before he went right over to the stack of psychology text and proceed to efficiently sort the books out with an almost frightening speed. He's very well aquanted with looking for and organizing texts due to his given profession, so his employer was correct in there assumption!

Order: Once Ventus finished his job, he's going to head over to the Gym and wait for everyone to finish their business and battles. Not much else he can do at this point, really.

Calam lets himself out of his Pokeball as Nathan wanders toward where Stable Z will eventually arrive. They're in a sort of plaza. A man in a low visor hat spins around instantly and points at it. "An Absol! Look, everyone, that trainer has an Absol!"

The crowd shies away from Absol, but also from this rude man. One passerby even says "So? Not against the law. You can move right along like a normal person."

"No way! I hate this Pokemon! C'mon, battle me right here right now. An Absol once beat me in a tournament. I was way ahead. I bear a grudge and I've been looking for the right Pokemon to take him down with, training them up, readying them for this day of revenge! Don't worry, hehe, I don't wish harm on your Absol...but I AM going to defeat it! Yeah, no fainting is fine, it's all about winning! Everyone will enjoy seeing your dark Pokemon go down! Go, Accelgor! Go, Muk!"
