Ventus tried the calm approach on his Scyther, once upon a time ago. It went......poorly for him, so I suggest you have a Pokémon out with you to blitz its down instead. Trust me on this, its the better route to take!

*lurk* History repeats itself, indeed... At least this time it's not Ven who is endangered of being wounded *an invisible force gently hugs him* and we learned from the situation, so hopefully no panic if Heart comes back from Encounter!

The bonus berry was an Oran Berry.  Valder found a whole bush of them, apparently.

Be VERY careful with that Scyther.  Fury Cutter hurts.  A LOT.  Particularly if the Scyther has Technician.

I'm considering going after that Unfezant, actually.  I want to see what's so special about them.

Well, class is about to start and I don't want to hold up anyone in their encounters, so I'll just say that if Nathan wants the Held Item he can have it and Ven will go after Unfeazent with Lucifer to try and catch it himself, and he'll get the Held Item if Nathan wants to duke it out with the bird. That's all I got to say for now!
