Sounds like a good way to go! It does not sound 'too hard' for Shiva's yet lesser honed skill in battle. Current strategy is pestering them with SE-moves, keeping ending the Sandstorm via Nightshade as an ace up in the sleeve.

Besides, @Lord Windos, I remember you speaking of a Drillbur being good for your Team/there was interest to obtain one? Too bad Shiva doesn't know about this in-chara. :C All she'll probably notice would that Ven might enjoy how they gain Steel Type when evolving. On the other hand, she'd rather not catch them as they play a role in the plains/ecosystem itself plus I already wanted to gift Ven somethingelse as soon as you got Kingdra.

I'd suggest finding the Dribur that caused Sandstorm to auto trigger and faint both of them, then let Ventus know where they are so he can catch them himself. At the very least he'll have a couple of semi-rare Pokémon to trade with in that case, and he's using his Pokeballs, not yours!

Shiva don't do Steel types that much, though, given her Fairy and Psychic type preference and tendacy to only add Pokémon she has befriended, instead of outright captured. Nathan doesn't like them either too due to Kirlia's disdain for them, so  Ventus, Valder, and your chara are the only ones who'd want them on their teams. I like the moles quite a bit, but the Sandstorm they triggered with using the move is what REALLY interests me about them....

No, most of her team is already settled and decided, no room for a steely mole. You expect Shiva, fae lady with a fondness for nature, to have a partial Steel Type among her dear own Pokemon? Lol, nope~

Ventus is using your Metagross right now, so perhaps you're sending some other Pokemon instead? Or going in person yourself?
It'll be an hour or two before Ventus can get here anyway.

How about I have Ventus go looking for Shiva instead on Metagross after he's done bonding with Lucifer, have him summon Apsis to paralyze the one Shiva wants him to catch to make it easier to bag and grab it with up to 2 Pokeballs used, and having his snake learn Poison Fang by venting her frustration at its resistence if both capture attempts fail completely? Its not out of character for him to go looking for her, you know!

Btw only one of them has Sand Stream. The shyer one had Sand Rush, thus the difference in dice pools.
