Yes, though getting struck by Poison Fang is arguably far, far worse because it also leaves a physical wound.  Venoshock definitely didn't help either...

I do have to say, I'm really liking how the photos Nathan has taken with his Flash Balls so far have made for some awesome opening aesthetics for the pokemon he caught them in. What better opening for the 'Dark Pokemon' than a sphere of perfect darkness, or a still image of the pokemon in question when they're already a very well practiced mimicker?

Heart decides to take a different aproach from the little one. "Hello there little one. How are you?" Then Heart bring a his Ranc Berry a bit of dry food and show to the little Mudkip. "Would you a bit lunch? This lunch looks quite yummy." Heart recalls Viktor. Heart thinks better and go in Shiva style.

I'm amused every single time that she served as an inspiration here. No wonder, since every Pokemon she met in the wild and ended up catching has been caught without a battle, except for Tropius (the adrenalin and situation required quick reactions) and Comite (since she didn't knew a thing about that Pokemon, she had no idea how to approach it)! Feels very in-character. ^-^

I'm thinking off alternative ways to allure a Pokemon, since doing so with food is getting boring.

Its because Shiva is kinda a inspiration here. In fact each one is like a inspiration to Heart: Ventus strategy, Nathan strengh, Shiva Kindness and Valder calm mind. Heart like the way Shiva catch Pokemon without the need to battle with them. Lets just say, his past dont quite permited that kinda of action before. Perhaps Heart would like to ask some tips about catch Pokemon without have to battle, almost like a teacher, and ask about the job of Shiva about breeding and everything.

Aww! I'm not quite sure whether she really could phrase some tips, maybe it'd be more 'instructive' to simply follow Shiva on an Encounter of a wild Pokemon she'd like to obtain (if the Encounter allows 2 people, that is) and watch?
On the other hand, she'd be happy to be asked about Breeding/Background - but she's not a person who very talkactive like for example Ventus is.

Oh hey, wait a moment... That Carnivine took 1 lethal damage from being poisoned before the catch succeeded. From your post, @Lord Windos, I understand that Ven either didn't notice or didn't care and sent it to his PC right away.

According to Corebook ---> see here being inside a Pokeball does not stop the further damage from poisoning. However, Iron, now the question of 'What if the Pokemon is sent to the PC, does this stop the further damage or not?' arises in me. What's your call on this?

That would be awesome. Its always a good thing to learn something about catch Pokemon without the need to "faint" them. It would be more like natural to a Pokemon "join" by his own will (and that could help with hapiness of the pokemon). That would be a good chance to Heart tell Shiva about his experience when he caugh his Nidorino without the need to "show" Shiva and make her relieve her trauma with Nidoking. That way, "if" a situation call to bring Nidorino, Shiva shall be already prepare.

Yes, this sounds like a good idea to let her know of Heart owning a disobediant Poison Point Nidorino! It'll probably end up similar like Orthros, which means 'By all means keep it, but I'd prefer to keep my distance to it' Maybe a little more distance due to Caesar still being disobediant. If he comes too close though, she'd ward him off with Confusion/Psybeam.
