You know, I just realized something ironic: out of the original three charas, Ventus, the one with severe fears/phobia and a rather ruthless streak that runs a mile wide is the MOST emotionally stable individual, while the stalwart hero of the group is the weakest (But keeps himself together regardless somehow). Shiva is in the middle, as her qualities as the emotional balance/rock of the group are countered by her need for attention/respect from others and her own issues with depression. Heart and Valder, meanwhile, are just chilling in relatively normality, all things considered. Funny, isn't it?

Also, I just read up on Secret Power, and it seems like the effects are automatically applied in Pokerole, rather than given Chance Dice by what I've read. Strange, very strange.... That, and can Ventus pick up Move Tutoring for himself as a Speciality, Iron? A lot of his Pokémon have need of that type of utility, and the group could use another person with more freedom to Tutor their Pokémon, so its a valid option to bolster his effective strength as a supporter.

Well, Ventus hasn't been helping matters for Nathan much.  He would be more relatively stable were it not for the fact he's had near constant worries about...well, most everything since we left Corsage, and the only one constantly supporting him is Kirlia for the most part.  It's all just been piling up without any real resolutions (well, the thing with Calam is mostly resolved.  But that also sprouted new problems...)

Meanwhile, Ventus just doesn't seem to give a darn as long as the problems don't affect him and Shiva specifically, and reacts waaayyy to strongly when he thinks they do.

Huh.  Yeah, Secret Power and Nature power don't list any chance dice for their effects...that's weird.  Probably a GM discretion thing, since Nature Power and Fling also act differently in pokerole than they do in the games...

I've been trying to find a good excuse for giving Nathan a point or two in Move Tutoring myself, but my original plan for doing that hasn't been working out so far :/

Well, Heart have some...dificults in his past, but he was able to exceed that. But in the future the consequences might be try to follow him. He is a not bad person, but he have to fight against his past someday.

Nathan given him quite the ride in recent time as well, so you could say our characters naturally cause each other problems! As for him seemingly not panicing over the situation/compounding problems, its mostly because its a you said (Doesn't affect him/Shiva) , his STRONG emotional control (Though that does not necessarily equate to self control, sadly), and simply because he about a decade older than your character and has a lifetime of shitty experience to anure him to trauma/fear over things outside his control. Only things that get him riled up are personal attack on him and his Pokémon, harming Shiva in any number of ways, and the blatently supernatural/magical/arcane, really, and he's cool as a cucumber otherwise. My character was built for Emotion Endurance and Stability originally, so I guess that remained true throughout the campaign *Shrugs*

Also, mind if I have Ventus talk to Nathan about how skittish/nervous he and his Pokémon has been lately this night? I think going down that path MIGHT have solve some problems between the two, if both of them have a chance to complain to each other (See: Vent) about their problems, rather than let them build up any longer....

Jeez... What are you people doing when Shiva is not around to provide some calmness to the group and prevent things from getting heated...

I have a reaction for her towards Quetzoral prepared, and I will bring it up anyway. Let's hope it'll ease things a little, but if not, well...don't care. Just remember that Shiva is there is Nathan's not doing well, but she also has her own path and business. It was a good decision to send Orthros to the PC for the sake of the Unfezant for now.

I have nothing against that (in fact, I'm amused that my ideas serve as an inspiration for others!), but keep in mind that this too is something Shiva started. Tutoring isn't something easy, currently she is the one in the party with the most - actually, only - experience in it.

I'm on vacation for Thanksgiving : )
Which is a good time for me to bring up that I'll be locking the thread from Thursday (lunchtime) to Sunday (dinnertime).

My job involves measuring trees for research, so I do just as much work in the winter. Except that I have a lot of vacation. In the US we have Martin Luther King Jr Day, a week of Christmas, New Years, half a week of Thanksgiving, and Veterans Day, all in the cold season.
