Encore is awesome, as its like a lesser (if still awesome) version of Sleep, and its rather nice if you end up locking them into Stat Boosting moves or Recharge moves (As was in the case with Gyarados). If you want, I can have Ventus tutor Kirlia the move once he gets 2 more XP points, as the Speciality only costs 6 XP, right Iron?

You'd have been in much bigger trouble otherwise, 'cause Gulpin was going to Encore Kirlia!

Yeah, Move Tutoring is just like any other specialty.  It's under the Fight tab.  I have the rules for it in my notes as well.

I thought that was obvious.

Anyways, I knew Encore was a thing on the Gulpin line.  Nathan knew it.  But Kirlia doesn't necessarily know that on his own.  All he was concerned about was damage and dodging poison attacks!  That's why there wasn't a conditional evade for Encore.

Huh, wait a moment, you'd first have to have some sort of 'connection' to the move! Like, in this case, having seen it used often enough that tutoring would be possible? And, it's Still Shiva who has the most experience of the group in tutoring (currently 9 dice in Tutoring Roll!) , so asking her how she tutors or such a thing feels like nothing wrong to do...

He's seen Raphael and Abaddon do the move often enough to know the gist of it (I think; Iron, your say in the matter?), but my chara will come to yours for advice AND to see how to tutor Nasty Plot for Quetzoral in the future, so don't feel left on now dear...

Now I understand how much is pain to make this calculations during every move and all math: Strengh, power of move, pain penalization, STAB, etc. Now I know how the DM feels....

I wonder/am curious how you want to reason that Ven is fine enough to tutor Kirlia a move when he doesn't care about Nathan, but okay.

Lol, another tutoring request!~ I'm still going by the rule that while Shiva takes an Encounter to tutor your Pokemon, she expects you to train three of her Pokemon (her choice) simultaneously during the Encouter. Every idea/plan of tutoring still needs GM's approval as well. Wonder if I'll ever get to learn enought about Weather Ball for Cherubi... Oh, becoming a Lv.5-Tutor to teach Teleport to Gothitelle is still tempting!

You can't just tutor any move. It will usually have to be a "?" move on the list, or a move that seems really fitting. Or be like the Iron Tail tutor and be a master specialist - even he can only tutor his favorite move indiscriminately.

Encore is not going to be approved because I don't see it as an excellent fit and because you basically just want it for its power.

Ventus could tutor that move to eligible Pokemon as soon as he had the specialty, though, because he has Abaddon who knows the move already and uses it with some frequency. Including the grueling Gyarados fight!

Spirit, you get used to it pretty quick! I have some of y'alls combos memorized. The way I work it out in my head is by going "He has 8 base brawl dice, -3/4/5 actions, -1 pain..." it doesn't take long to memorize that for yourself.

You'll be used to it in no time!

Does that mean I can't tutor Lilith Nasty Plot/Dragon Pulse/Earth Power/Tailwind then? I though those moves were the ones in her Move Tutor Learnset, and therefore tutorable, but if that is the case I might just save points for Medicine instead...

*Raises eyebrow in faint disbelief* That decision just ends up making the move much worse then, if its effects basically cancel the moment the user leaves the battlefield, rendering the point of it unceremoniously useless most of the time.

Well, its kinda help that I have a pokerole app with the pokedex, moves, and abilities with the Pokeroles effect. But I get memorized thanks to another rolls I see with the others. Its still a bit confused sometimes, but I think I can get use it.
