"I take it your kind doesn't hold the natives in the Hog Potateo Swamp in high regard, if I am assume correctly? If I may be so bold and polite to ask, why such callinous towards them?"

The Pokemon doesn't really have a way to answer this question, but she waves a claw dismissively, as if it doesn't much matter.

Ventus become ever so slightly more curious at his mean (in a good way!) green fledgely brushing off the subject entirely, but in the end he shrugs it off in a similar manner. If Lilith didn't care to discuss/patamime her species conncetion to the local human inhabitants of the swamp, then he would respect her indifference towards them and let this whole line of inquiry rest in its entirety. "Alright then, my sister, I won't bother you about this subject again if you believe it is not of critical importance, but expect me to indulge my curiosity by asking you some question from time to time. You are a complete unknown to me, and as a Research I do desire to fill in the blanks of my knowledge, if you would indulge me as well. But we'll leave those questions for another time, alright?" he said to her, before exploring deeper in the swamp with his Pokémon, Raphael now back up high in the sky scoping out potential targets, while Lilith rode comfortably on his shoulder. What new creature would they all discover next, I wonder?

Honestly worried why there was no real reply, Shiva actually dared to come closer and take a shy look at the scene. Her position it a little higher than this patch of...blasted quicksand, but these roots looked rather slippery.

"...Hell, STOP FLAILING AND STRUGGLING THAT MUCH AS IT'LL GET YOU DOWN QUICKER AND IT MAKES ME NERVOOOOOUS! ENJOY SOME LUCKY CHANT!!!"

In a uncommon hasty movement Braixen has been called out to scene, and he must have already sensed why since immediately he casted his familiar chant to the sky...

Mechanics:
Did I phrase the plan comprehensible enough? Keeping a firm grip of the roots once they are made less slippery should prevent me and Azurill being dragged along when she throws their tail (it's canon that they are able to do such a thing!) as well as enable unrooting this guy thanks to Huge Power. Hah! Useless ability in battle, very valuable outside of battle.

If Accuracy Rolls are needed, I can edit them. If this doesn't work, I have to sleep over another idea what do...

You get the impression that Lilith is very slightly flattered by the attention/admiration Ventus gives her.

A grassy hummock parts and out pops a Breloom! It's definitely smaller than Michael.

I was probably unclear with my description. You're separated from the roots by ~60' of quicksand. Cottonee can Mega Drain it no problem, but Shiva will really struggle to get over there! And then the guy is ~30' from the roots.

(That means I cannot even reach the roots on my own? Hmm... If I'd send in enough attacks by Pokemon, would they be able to log one of the fens to enable me reaching the roots then, or at best get near that guy?)

"I think its the ever first time I see you smiling Nathan. I dont want to ruin this warm so I abstent in make any pun, heh. Anyway, its a dificult battle out there so we might want to continue the path." A idea came to his mind. "Hey Nathan, I know it may strenge to ask but if you want test the strengh of Swifire, how about a little friendly battle. Rose would like very much to have a little spar with your Rapidash. Of course if you want."

Nathan chuckles, then shakes his head again.  "Not today. Maybe when we're out of this swamp.  And Masq isn't just another Shiny.  There's a bit more to him than that."

She also holds non-threatening eye contact to the bird for a few moments, silently returning his greeting. "Good call, I'd gladly have this picture sent over..." Almost she added something like how she wouldn't be able to get a good one on her own if this Pokemon prefers to keep its distance, but that'd only remind her on something unpleasant. He doesn't seem to have that...creature around currently... How relieving to know?

Nathan finds that training in the swamp is more difficult, but potentially very rewarding!

Yikes.  This swamp makes it REALLY difficult to train properly without a native's assistance...well, at least the campsite's a little clearer and dryer now...

Despite the difficulty of properly focusing, though, Kirlia's eyes snap open mid-meditation.  Yule looks at Kirlia at just the wrong time...but he doesn't feel sleepy at all (since Grass is immune to Sleep in this campaign).  That gaze looks really weird, though...

Got EXACTLY enough exp to finally teach Kirlia Hypnosis!  Woo hoo!
