How neat. It seems to Shiva that this guy was experienced - or at the very least prepared - with getting along in nature. He still amaged to end up being trapped... She still saved him from being trapped... She. The more she repeated this in her mind, the more weird it sounded, but in the end it was still true. She... was able to got things done... And even get them done right. Pretty sure the others might not believe her if she tells that she rescued this guy... But it was still true. Right?

Oh, she also GLADLY accepted that forked stick. What a neat item. While Shiva was still investigating it, Tandal already motioned to set off... Well after having given her Pokemon a proper Thank-You - including Geodude! "You're coming too, actually? Just if you like..." - and recalling them, she was all eager to follow. "Huh? Ehm... Yeah, you're welcome... I guess..."


Now, he said Arrowroot Village is that way... Let's hope the others are this way, too. And, let's hope none (especially not Ven) was worrying where she was... But, any pondering has quickly been ended by that...how did he call it? "'Mailaise'? What a melodic word..." The smell of them was way less nice though, plus... Gloom's are still poisonous. But, after the instant fear - fascination arises? "Whoah... it it indeed huge... I-IMAGINE WHAT A HUGE BELLOSSOM THIS GLOOM WOULD BE! I want to catch this thing... Small and cute Bellossom are more enjoyable for me, but... That's pretty cool... And scary, because it's coming towards us... Okay, maybe not catching it... Where are my Psychic Types again... Oh, here! Out with you, Kyuu! You too, Braixen!"

Shiva would prefer to get away rather quickly. However, seems unlikely... Remebering the Encounter with a Nidoran back then near Ginger Town, it looks like Shiva would need to trust her Pokemon once again. "So... Kyuu... I saved you from the dogs, now I need you to protect me from Poison Types, please... Same goes for you, Braixen! There are dormant psychic powers in you... I have means to cure Poisoning should any of you suffer. But... Let's do that smooth and quickly... Okay? Leave it to me, Tandal... For now..."

"Alright there, huge and mighty Gloom... I'm not here to cause a ruccuss. If I give you a fair challenge and abstain from catching you, will you let us pass along the way?"

Mechanics:
I mean, I COULD catch this huge Gloom... But I fear even as a huge Bellossom I won't really use it, plus it feels somewhat outta-chara for Shiva to catch it anyway with the clear intend to trade it away. So, how about we make this some fair battle for Kyuu and Braixen? Her Psychics (and future Psychic in Braixen's case) have the role to protect Shiva from toxic Pokemon after all. Awaiting Inits now~

Seems like that huge Gloom accepted the challenge. Or so Shiva felt? Whatever it was, her Psychics/Future-Psychics seemed eager to prove themselves and looked like they'd pounce every moment now. "Okay... Kyuu, you use your newly learned move please to open the battle up. Remember this as our strategy and standard order unless I wish you do do something else, okay? You, Braixen... Hone you're voice with another Lucky Chant if your battle partner is successful in his attack, then show me a few Psy Beams."

Gloom shakes its head to scatter Sleep Powder over Braixen, then runs off while he thinks Braixen is sleeping! The big Gloom climbs up into the lower branches of a tree and sticks himself in a hollow to hide.

2XP to each of your Pokemon and to Shiva. Tandal bows, and continues to lead the way until he says "Shh! I hear someone!" and Sarah nickers, getting a distinctive Ponyta nicker in return!
The two of you walk into camp, Shiva in the lead now. Shiva spots Nathan looking a little worried.

...Kirlia's completely tuning this out.  He'd have half a mind to try Hypnosis out on Heart though if sleep wasn't the cause of this issue in the first place...

Nathan's just way too distracted with trying to distract himself to even notice right now, and Swiftfire's still enjoying her new power and form.  Masq is keeping watch of the area from a treebranch that's not right next to the noisy sleeper.  Yeesh...

Breloom accepts, hops up, and hops away into the swamp without a look back. Such is the way of the swamp.

Most would consider the tiny mushroom Pokemon abrupt departure to be rude and/or ungrateful, but Ventus understood and accepted that it was only doing its utmost to ensure its survival out in these harsh climes, and part of that entailed fleeing from threats/rivals that had soundly beaten it into submission! With a kind smile, the empath waved off them as they fled into the underbrush, shouting to them : "Be well, my former fungal foe!" , before recalling his own Breloom to his Pokémon after one last high face and/or fist bump from them and departing where he last left Nathan by his lonesome. Daddling in a mugged, treacherous swamp on you own for any great length of time was just begging for trouble unless you/your Pokémon were THAT adept at Survival, so the swiftly he reunited with the boy and the rest of the group, the better, resentment and grudges to one another be damned!

Lilith, meanwhile, had been silently watched her Michael's  dual of dominace with his fellow species and her trainer's merciful/kind treatment of the wild shroom with an subtly dazzled expression and a apprasing gleam in their eyes, impressed by all that she stood witness to. Not only did her trainer continue to display his magnanimousness by providing first aid to the enemy Breloom, but her 'sibling's' (The term felt odd to think of for the birdpent, but not offputting as she though it would be....) own prowess in the ring of Effect Spores proved he was surpremely competent in bringing out the full Strength of his wards like she hoped him to be! That, and judging by how he let Raphael and Michael operate almost entirely without his guidance, he was more than willing to deligate control/responsibility between himself and his Pokémon, a trait the not quite draconic Grass type found highly appealing. More and more, Ventus was proving that he was worth the respect she choose to give him.....

Upon arriving back at the campside/meeting site, the researcher was swift to notice with his keen senses and empathy: Heart was snoring with the force akin to that of an actually Snoring Snorlax, and Nathan had SOMEHOW managed to become upset/unbalanced in the relatively brief time they spent apart from one another! ' Oh bother.....what has caused this sudden dip back into negativity in the boy's mental state....? I understand better now the crushing pressure and anxiety he's been enduring for quite awhile, but by Reshirim I didn't expect him to have such a mood swing after I last consuled him. *Sighs* Its would be for the best that inquire about this dour change in mood now with him, before it has a chance to darken any further.....but first,' Ven thought to himself with an worried/unhappy frown , before marching over to where Heart was sleeping. The researcher them rummaged through their bag for a moment, until he finally found what he was searching for: the box of nasal strip he had gifted the man in what seemed ages ago. He took a strip out and immediately applied it to the man's noise, where upon that Zekrom awful snoring ceased in its entirety.

With a firm nod of his head at solving that problem, Ventus put away the box back into collector's belongings, and walked over to where Nathan was meditating with Kirlia to begin working on their's. "Nathan, what's troubling your mind now, and putting you at such ill ease? I'm willing to listen if it helps you any, as dwelling on bad thoughts does no good for yourself or Kirlia..."

Order: Ventus will be returning to camp and initiating conversation with Nathan now, and awaiting for response and/or the group getting ready to move out! Let's hope Ven's Nathan skill have showed genuine improvement, or if the last time was just a fluke....

It's very much a resigned sadness and worry that he's going through right now...

He just sits there with Kirlia, head in his hands.  Kirlia pops one eye open to keep tabs on Ventus...

Something was very weird about the atmosphere here at the camp if asking Shiva... The air was heavy and filled with a ton of feelings that did not really had anything to do with the swamp. "Nathan... There is nothing we can do about that just now, okay? Dagny should have things under control, so if your Mum might end up calling HER, she'll be informed."

"Besides... Ehm... We'll be hosting a guest today. And tomorrow, probably. Tandal, these are the people I mentioned towards you, those I travel with."

That distressed statement/reaction briefly caused Ventus to blink his eyes in surprise, as he wasn't expecting the thought of their mother to be the source of their woes, but it was soon replaced with what looked to be.....sympathy? With a surprising amount of gentleness, the empath place a hand on the young trainer's shoulder to draw his gaze to themselves, before they calmly and kindly said: "......Don't burden yourself with distress about this, please. I doubt that Dagney or one of her acolytes would not have informed your mother the mission you are on by this point in time, and if they haven't then she could always get in touch the Ponyta Handler and learn via that source. From what little I know about her, your mother is a strong, resilient woman, so while its without question she's very concerned for your wellbeing now, I'm sure its not to the point where its adversely affecting her own. Have faith she's doing relatively well, Nathan....."

Afterwards, in a further attempt to get Nathan's mind off his mother's probable distress, the researcher pulled out the Ancient Gitar and displayed it to them with a bemused expression. "How about we focus instead on this tribal relic that Raphael helped me retrieve from the swamp? Its in dire need of new strings and some light restoration work, but beyond that this gitar like instrument is in fabulous shape, and that not even the most intriguing part about it! Look *Points to the Pokémon carvings on it, particularly at the one displaying the Quetzoral* ! Fascinating to think that Lilith's kind has been endemic to this area for centuries, isn't it?"
