[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Pineco Round 2

It seems like this time the adrenaline is anythingelse than helpful. Chaos was about to reign, but chaos would lead to mistakes, and mistakes could have a HIGH price in this case. Shiva's mind was still screaming at hear at full volume to get away from here without ever looking back and never tell a word about anything, but then she'd just be as cowardly as ever and would never get to make even a small difference... But, it was so nice and safe at the Daycare during the Running... It wasn't visible on the outside since she strongly tried to suppress it, but there was a massive silent conflict fought in her mind.

If she'd get hurt here, she may come over it. But if she'd run, she may not come over it...

"... ... ... people, concentrate and try again! We're too deep in it now, our attacks have had an effect, and... just... maybe a tad bit more..."

Same actions and same Rolls! The aim is to faint Pineco, then attempt to catch it with a Pokeball right away.

Nathan's not in a good mood.  Swiftfire got hurt pretty badly thanks to the snake's dumb decision.  Nathan doesn't even turn to look at Ventus as he approaches.  Just gives Aspis a pointed look.  He knows what Ventus is thinking, so he's not even going to try reasoning with the unreasonable.

"You're lucky I came when I did, Aspis.  You would have been overwhelmed if it weren't for Masq.  You don't attack bugs that live in large groups on their home turf without provocation.  Ever.  Remember the combee hive?  We were lucky to get out of there."

...and then he sighs.  Why does the role of damage control have to fall to him?  Ventus should be the one doing this...

Nathan pulls out TWO bags of meat this time.  "If you want a snack, don't go looking for trouble to get it.  I'll dress your wounds as well as Swiftfire's, but I don't want to see you do this on your own again, and I want you to leave these Ninjask alone.  They didn't start this, you did."

Maybe a little bribery in addition to the reasoning will at least get the snake to calm down...and maybe that might get through to Ventus if it works...plus, Raphael is present right now, and I think he might even agree with Nathan on this...

So, if Aspis calms down enough, she gets a quick snack and a medicine check to stop/slow the lethal damage accumulation with 4 D6 in the pool.  Swiftfire also gets a medicine check regardless.  Otherwise, Aspis gets nothing from Nathan.

Burmy Round 1

Burmy crawls around in his spruce, gathering needles for his cloak. He keeps the well-cloaked, completed side facing Gustav at all times.

Bug Bite
1 Dex + 2 Fight + 1 = 4d6
(6)(4)(2)(5)
4 Str + 2 power +1 STAB -3 vit = 4d6
(6)(5)(3)(3) Gustav takes 2 dmg 4/6hp

Gustav's Bubble just pops over the entire branch Burmy is in, sending it awash in water.

Bubbles
(3)(3)(5)(5)
I have 3 vit, so (3)(1)(1)
Chance: (1)
Burmy clings to the branch and takes no damage.

Clauncher is moving much faster than Burmy, slamming him with attacks from every side even should one fail.

Crabhammer 2
(4)(6)(1)
(2)(1)(3)(5) Burmy takes 1 dmg 5/6hp

Crabhammer 3
(5)(2)
(4)(4)(5)(5) Burmy takes 4 dmg 1/6hp -3 pain.

And just when it was getting confident, too!

Shiva actually flinched HARD at the sound of a Pokeball she threw in a hasty manner just at the time she thought was the best - it still hit the fainted Pineco, oh wonder - fearing for the worse. The few moments it was shaking were dripping with anxiety and aftermaths of a high adrenaline level. She was expecting the worse while her will was stronger than ever, but her mind didn't stop screaming at her.

Next, these few moments later, nothing. It seemed like even nature herself held her breath, all sounds where numbed and time has slowed for the second time this morning... Her mind calmed down, slowly, but it did until it the voice was silent. Was this a dream? Did she made it to heaven, free from every burden, nightmare and exploding Pokemon coming for her? Wondering about this, Shiva actually very coly DARED to take a look by lowering the arms she helf over her face.

There was nothing, either. No signs of damage, burn trees, other signs of an explosion hitting the nearby land, it all seemed normal... Carefully, the sounds of nature also came back. There where faint cries of Pokemon around... All that was different was that there was no Pineco more on the spruce tree and a blinking Pokeball that wasn't there before laying there a few steps in front of Shiva. Checking both her hands, they seemed normal, so this was likely not another lucid dream.

Then, something placed itself softly on her right shoulder, nuzzling her. It was cotton... Cottonee! She was here, too? She didn't look harmed at all, all that Shiva felt from her was a faint embarrased feeling asking for forgiveness since her Fairy Wind completely failed... Other than that, overly fine... Looking to her left, her magical fox stepped to her side as well. He looked incredibly proud over something and SMILED at his Master - of course this earned his strokes over his cheek and forehead. His fur was so warm and soft, and there where no injuries on him either... Did this mean...? Turning around, Tandal was there as well. He seemed delighted and overly relieved over something, his Yanma was hovering beside him - both unharmed as well. "Tandal... You're fine too, how delightful to see!"

All of this, all these odds could only mean one thing - she made it. Her voice was incredibly quiet and coy when the words came, but there was growing appreciation over it between the lines. "That means... We made it... We dismantled the threat of this Bug Type coming for us with the potential to explode just over our heads... Nature will thank us... I thank thee..."

Next, Shiva picked up that blinking Pokeball containing her new Pineco. She had absolutely no idea what to do with it, but that didn't matter just now... All that mattered that it was here, safely contained in one of her spare Pokeball... Right, she does remember this particular scratch on the red half, it IS one of the Pokeballs SHE bought earlier... Then, she simply started crying. She didn't even care to hold any tears back, all she did was bathing in this one moment where she realized that she made a difference without suffering injuries.

Please need XP granted for resolving this Encounter, @Iron, but it'll likely give at least 1XP, exactly what was missing to level up Strength to 3 points right here! Ohh, things have developed nicely.

Also, how about a theeeeme? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRkvLuB191s

Apsis looks offended. She didn't know there would be so many! Swiftfire nickers a bit as Nathan checks her over.
(3)(1)(3)(5)
That should patch the Rapidash up for now, enough to slow the bleeding substantially.

Raphael definitely doesn't care enough about a few Ninjask to come out of his Pokeball/have a fight with Ventus.

Apsis' personality, especially after all this hunting and devouring of live Pokemon, is very prone to wild vengeance even if she's at fault. She is not sweet by nature. She has 4 Loyalty to Ventus, so unless he stops her, she's going to try to eat all these Ninjask. Then she will not eat for a week, because six Ninjask are the same bodyweight as an Arbok.

Just 1XP per each Pokemon involved, but that indeed gives Shiva 1 trainer XP! Plus she gets +2 for bravery.

Tandal is interested in the Pokeball itself. "Most men here use Apricorns or Apricorn dust to store and bond with Pokemon. I have only seen a few of these Pokeballs in my life. They are kept under lock and key at the General Store, and they are a funny yellow and black color, somewhat like a Heavy Ball."
