One more thing came to Shiva's mind, and now that Professor/Reverend Cottonwood was still there and gladly accepted questions, it felt like a good moment to bring it as well. "Ehm... One more thing, is any traditional clothing that I might not have required or helpful for that ritual? o.o A yukata in a particular pattern or such, or how formal clothing is worn during participating in a Pokemon Contest."

She was still wearing an artificial Ran Berry flower in her hair, but that was practically all she'd be able to bring up. If something more would be required, her hopes fell onto an Elder of the native and traditional Mamo.

"Well, you're quite welcome! And indeed, the Chikorita I have is female."

"In that case, Reverand, would you accept my Carnivine in exchange for your Chikorita.....and give it to this charming young lady here? I owe quite a lot to her, and her trust companion Maril just evolved the prior night, so what better way to show my appreciate for both events than gifting her with a Pokémon that has caught her interest" Ventus said with a affable smile, motioning towards his friend and holding out the poisonous flytrap's Pokeball out in front of the man. Well, he sure hopes she enjoys this surprise of his!

"How neat, I'd gladly take it then! I don't know how much I'll use her in battle or during journeying actually, but I'll take efforts to properly take care of her. Hopefully she'll enjoy soaking up some natural beams of sunlight alongside my other Grass Types! We'll also tell the other ones belonging to our travel group when we'll meet them. Now, ehm, where did I put that Pineco..."

Soft-busy by looking through every Pokeball she carried on her before finally having found that Pineco one's and about to offer it to the professor/reverend, Ventus gently stopped her from doing so as he spoke up trading HIS Pokemon for a Pokemon she was interested in - at first, Shiva was kinda confused about that ('I just explained why I'd choose that one from the offered ones, so why in Reshiram's name does he...oh.), but that rather quickly developed into an expression of pure suprise, pleasant anticipation and flattered embarassment, both because of this act of kindness and the fact that he called her 'charming'... Aww. A sweet smile had trouble to break through her face and shine openly, but it was certainly hidden between the lines. As for her emotional pool... It felt like it's been flooded with cottoncandy, making everything sugary sweet and beaming with a joy- and thankful feeling. She's by far not bold enough to display this via kissing him on the cheek now in the middle of the trade, but she might (will) do so once the trade's done and they're free for a few moments before...visiting Nathan will be it. She actually wanted to add something to his words, but she'd decided to keep things for herself now and it was pretty clear that he desired not to elaborate on this anymore just now. Shiva thankfully adapted to this.

Ventus turned to look her way as she tried to kindly and humbly offered him a chance to retract his own, but it was to no avail. "I'm quite sure, my dear. If anybody deserves a present for all the good they've done, then I'm certain no one is more so than you are Shiva...." he said with that same Smile that could (and probably was) melt the heart of any woman/man not strong enough to withstand it. Yewowzer!

"When I partook in the ritual, it seemed that any clothing was fine as long as it was respectful. Well, the Mamo actually don't wear a whole lot of clothing in the summer months anyway. To them, respectful is a clean wrap and maybe a hat. You must do whatever moves you, whatever feels right."

His lab is half-wigwam, half concrete, like a cement worm crawling out of a grassy cocoon. It's roomy enough, and cozy, with a fire burning this early in the morning.

There are two tables, each with three Pokeballs on them. A touch of a finger, and they turn transparent to show you their contents.

He also has a registration machine. "Goodbye, Chikorita. This is your new trainer. Protect her well. Ventus, if you will place Carnivine here."

The artifacts quickly sink beneath the land again, which parts to accept them. Aside from the new light in your opponents' eyes, you'd hardly know anything had happened.

The foreign researcher did as he was instructed, placing the noxious flytrap's Pokeball into the registration machine, before turning to give a thankful bow to the reverend. "I thank you for the trade, my fellow researcher. Chikorita has a safe and loving home with us now, and we will make sure she well provided for on our journey through Cheshire! A word of warning about this Carnivine, though: this one seems to have the abnormal capability to use certain Poison types moves like Sludge Bomb, and it emits an aromatic compound that seems to enrapture all but Poison type, and perhaps Steel and Rock types if typing conventions are to be followed. Be careful studying and/or breeding this specimen, alright?"

Ventus then turned around to promptly hand over the start 'mon to Shiva with a high intensity beam smile, before it dimmed a little as he said: "Well, now that we have conducted our trade, I suppose its about time we pay Nathan a visit, and check in to see how he is fairing from his fainting spell. Hopefully Kirlia has been able to keep him happy and occupied while we were busy....."

Order: Ready to teleport (move on) to see Nathan now! We can flashback to the scene if necessary, so ready to talk to your character when you are Dragonstrike!

To Shiva's view, that 'lab' looked kinda off, but just as interesting. She observed the room with shy interest while Ventus was already conducted the trade, she made haste to return to his side once the registration has been done to receive her grassy Pokemon while admirering that intense smile of his. Very coyly, she returned it to him. ^-^

Thing was, she already had six Pokemon on hand... But, now she actually had no more use to carry that Pineco with her, so she'll send it to her PC as soon as the Chicorita's Pokeball began to blink. For now, it can lay around there, probably way later in the city she'll be able to find someone who trades her something for that exploding pine cone.

This actually very faintly felt like starting the journey through the region a second time, was this a rare second chance? A new start, to make a difference now...? It didn't fel 'real', but nevertheless it strongly reminded her when she was there to receive her bred Cottonee from Professor Mallorn. It was storming outside, this is something she'll likely won't forget that easily, same with the fact that back then, she was fine...or rather different. Things have changed, in a good and bad way, concerning herself and the group as well... Oh, HOW they changed! But even if given the chance, would she change anything? She wasn't sure about that, at all, but if she wouldn't have succumbed to the friendly convincement eventually that journeying would benefit herself in person and her carreer in the field of Breeding Pokemon, she would have never been right here.

Mentally shaking her head both to end this trail and thought and to softly bring her away from any melancholic thoughts, Chikorita got called out in a swift movement right away! Shiva very carefully picked it up to hold it in her arms and almost immediately her senses where flooded with that sweet scent her new Pokemon was emiting. She wasn't sure whether it really was that strong or whether it was just her anticipation. "So... It's as your former caretaker says, you'll come with me now. No, this isn't my start of the journey and you're not my first Pokemon, sadly... I'm coming from faaar away. But, this also means that I already have a few other Pokemon you can meet later! There are Grass Types as well among them. From now on, I'll be responsible for your well-being and safety, and I'd liek to let you know that I'm not much of a battler, so please don't be disappointed when we spend more time, well, spending tme with one another than engaging in a battle. Relatively soon, her smile soon faded away into the abyss to make room for a sad and serious expression while bringing Chikorita (who was still in her arms) a bit closer to chest. Her reply was relatively straightforward, which was uncommon for someone who knew Shiva for a bit longer. "Yes, I do believe we should do that, Ven."
