I don't really understand all the stress in this conversation. Nathan didn't shoot down anyone's idea. Shiva has no idea what Nathan will choose to do. He hasn't made any personal attacks, so what's the problem?

Dragon, if you are opting that Shiva's making a turn now and care for him with all her heart JUST AFTER he hurt her and triggered her behated feelings of being overshadowed while he doesn't even have a plan how to continue, you're wrong.

@PhantomUnderYourDesk: My love, no need to get incessed over this! Nathan might be tough to get along with and read, but he has and will be going through a lot of stressing situations, so its not like its unexpected. Frustrating, yes, but not unexpected.

Perhaps it would help if we knew WHAT to say to the boy to solve this problem for him, rather than continue spitballing the problem and making things worse *Hint Hint*

A suggestion: When describing a Pokemon miming something, you can grab a picture of the gesture from the internet. It's fine if the picture is of a human doing it.

Ventus and Shiva are stressed out/frustrated because this is just another instance in a long series of instances that Nathan's tendacy to bring it all upon himself causes problems for him and everyone, indirectly or not, and his seeming inability to grow stronger/tougher because of them (That second part is mostly Ven's opinion, though). Also not helped is that while he's not doing anything overtly negative in the conversation, his attitude and the general tone of his replies conveys the feeling that he finds their ideas not that viable or half baked at best, which of course would grind their gears. I believe both our characters WANT to help them recover from this and get along with them better, but they are (In Ven's opinion) making it overly difficult to even like/sympathize with them in the first place right now.

Yes, this IS frustrating, Windos. I'd actually enjoy making progress and get started on things than taking a lot of time doing damage-control.

Well, he's right, you don't objectively know if it will work or not. Shiva should probably give him a chance to respond before berating him for something she doesn't even know if he feels yet.

I actually agree with this, @PhantomUnderYourDesk . If we let Nathan further elaborate on his feelings he might give us more opportunities to help him through this mire he's in, instead of trying to brute force him to get on board with the idea/making him feel better. I'm writing a post right now that will hopefully smooth things over, or at the very least start that process...

This is actually true, neither me nor Shiva in-chara cannot know whether this plans will work or not, but I honestly don't know what to do instead and neither can I ignore all the hints given that it has a chance to work. Honestly, it'd be a tad bit dishearting if her build-up findings about a South Wind and its Incarnate are worth nothing and I'd have Shiva spend time preparing herself with the belief that she can do it, only to see later that it was wasted. From the group, I also feel that she has the closest connection to the spiritual. If someone disagrees, speak up.

I do hope it does, and the same time I hope that it'll show some results as this is starting to not be fun anymore. Sooner or later, Nathan needs some clear words to think about if I actually wish to make a difference. Or at least so I feel.
