[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Well, Kirlia got promptly multched in that round! That means much easier time for Nindorino to come out an Poison EVERYONE, especially if it uses Toxic Spikes, hehehe......

That Xenoblade 2 OST - Battle! is a awesome choose for that battle, and its fits well! But I think Heart problably have his butt kicked since Nathan have more experencie in battle and more evolved pokemon. But like he say, what truly matter its the fun!

Glad you liked the choice of music.  Dies Irae set up an entire thread for all the music we've been using throughout the campaign back when we started months ago.  He droped out fairly early on, but I've been adding every single track we've used to a comment I made on page 4 of the thread (minus the ones that are already on page 1)

I'll PM ya the details.

Man, make a strategy takes time and a lot of predict about what the adversary is gonna do. Thanks God I have some experience back when I battle in the pvp from time to time. Lets see what you got dragonstrike my friend.

I've got some decent experience with competitive too, since I used to be rather avid with PvP in gen 6.  PSS was a blessing for pokemultiplayer.  The Festival Plaza is trash by comparison.

Looking forward to seeing how you make this a little more challenging for Nathan.  Stats wise, the only clear advantages he has are his Dex, wider array of specialties, and more evolved pokemon.  This could easily go either way depending on how the dice roll.

Calam is probably going to be the biggest hurdle for Heart.  Kinda sad Kirlia still hasn't had a good chance to show off Dream Eater yet though, tbh :/  Hypnosis is a tricky move to use to inflict Sleep, and Yawn is difficult to inflict sleep with early in a battle.  I'll manage it eventually, though!

Thats is something I do not doubt. It took a lot of strategy to takedown a group of Delta Houndoom and a Mega Delta Houndoom. And you took well against both Shiva and Ventus since it was a battle 2x1 and you fight very well. And I agree, Festival Plaza its not even cool like before.

No doubt it will be more dificult to fight against Nathan. Rapidash, Calam, and Orthros too. Nathan have strong Psychic, Fire and Dark types. The advantage of Heart its he have a keen mind to balance his team with diferent typings, always avoiding the same type or weakness. But this might not help much against Nathan who have many ways to beat his team. Also Nathan have more experience in battle, specialities, stats, moves and more evolved pokemon. Heart will need a lot of strategy and much luck against him!

Calam of course will be the biggest threat to handle. Bigger HP and access to powerful moves. The disaster pokemon shall be a wall dificult to fight against it. Thats I took first Kirlia. His access to Dream Eater and Hypnosis is a Trick strategy.

Huh, @Iron, that Fake Out from my psychic cat suceeded and flinched Exeggutor... but I've been semi-confused about for how long it's actually flinched upon seeing how it was still able to hit Marill hard (yet gentleman-like~). EDIT: Nevermind, only 1 Action is lost due to flinching according to Corebook.
Since Kyuu shall stay in my team for longer than for example Vaporeon, Tropius, Comite etc. = I'll constantly use Fake Out, do you have any additional rules or edits concerning flinching? Also, would using Fake Out two times be legal if it's within the first Round my Pokemon is send out?

Guess I also need more rping with that psychic kitten as he hasn't grown closer to Master in a single point since being gifted with him in Corsage Port. Meow.

Oh right, I'll also swap Marill for Nightshade before Round2 starts, so I'm awaiting her place in the Init order and whether the foe does any changes as well or not before giving definitive orders and dice pools.

Something I'll note since the Fake Out question finally came up: when Iron asked about Priority mechanics on the pokerole forums previously, the writers responded with both the mechanics and a clarification for the base rules.  Apparently, the original intent of the rules is you can only use a move once per round.  IMO, spamming Fake Out in Round 1 because of a house rule removing that once per round thing is really silly, considering how the move is supposed to work.

As for multi action moves and flinching...well, that depends on how we define an action.  Is it the entire use of a single move, or a single accuracy roll?  Games go by the first, but GM interpretation might differ *shrug*
