[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

The amatuar chemist/medicine maker was rather euthused that this time the Potions he made didn't taste like soured wine most foul, as that meant he was only improving his skills in this newfound/rekindled interest of his! "Formulating healing Items, cures, and remedies of all kind....it harkens me back to my days in mother's flower shop.... Oh how I wish those peaceful days could have last, if only for her shake....." Ventus mumbled to himself as he grew suddenly nostalgic, memories of his mother making medicine from her stock of plants springing to his mind....before he violently shook his head to clear those thoughts and quickly packed Shiva's Potions away with a frown on his face. Thinking about her wouldn't do him any good, and only would lead his mind to places he rather it not travel.

Deliah was gone. That was the only thing that need be thought of.

Once he finished cleaning up, Ventus decided to head over to the Furnance to shovel peat for some supplies (Tell me what I get exactly, Iron!), as he rather not get off track by hunting for Pokémon or getting lost in the town's fascinating culture. That, and hardlabor does wonders to clearing a mind of troublesome thoughts....

Order: Ventus works at Furnance for supplies! Now let's see what everyone else gets up to in the meantime....

It takes Kirlia two tries to come up with a Lucky Chant that will go along with the Skirl of the Southern Wind.
Insight + Knowledge + Perform
(6)(1)(2)(5)(3)(1)(6) Kirlia gains 3 bonus XP, thanks to the intense atmosphere of Lucky Chant.

Kirlia's mood lightens, and some of the burden is relieved. The room seems a little brighter, and Nathan could almost swear he saw the curtain twitch, revealing a momentary hint of the cloudy sky.

They give Ventus a Sweetroot and a Blue Apricorn, that is uncarved.

He works up quite a sweat in this muggy atmosphere.

Shiva only raises an eyebrow in more confusion at first at his comment about not having the funds 'for that kind of stuff', but eventually this confusion faded as she ...silently understood.

She still disagreed with that. Health should not have a price! It wasn't like her Vitamin D and St. John's Wort pills/capsules where cheap either, but she's being a good girl and pays whenever the stock goes low. The recommendation she obtained in Stair Cityn is very appreciated. However, Shiva doe not comment on anything Nathan says, and just gives him an appreciating and worried look as he bid goodbye for now, telling that they'll see her later. *impercible sigh* Her own cheerful mood will probably restore along the way to that shop Heart described. My, if she desires her empathic senses to develop further, she'd either have to break contact with Nathan to prevent herself being overloaded (which is no option), or have Ventus teach her eventually how she can shield herself from negativity picked up from others and it stains oneself.

++++++++

Well, now that this has been said an done, Shiva can finally exit the Pokemon Center!~ The weather outside still wasn't much of her taste, but she was just hoping that it won't rain eventually.

Speaking of rain... Seeing that she was alone now, she at first called our Braixen to her side, then sweet Marill. The first gives an expression as if Master is asking him to eat a whole Energy Root in one go, while the latter...is smiling and cuddles up to her Master as she picks the blue mouse up in her arms. "Dear ones...", she spoke to them in a soft voice, "yes, this moisture in the air isn't really mine either. It's gloomy and it moistens my hair. But... All of this shall not bother us. We'll be going to a shop now, we'll have to go through half the village to reach it. Along they way, please concentrate on your surroundings... Braixen, you shall please not mind the moisture and instead calm yourself to keep your inner blaze burning DESPITE the odds are against it. This might be helpful on your dormant psychic powers. Yes, once you evolve, you'll be part Psychic Type. Your evolved forms species is rumored to see the future when it keeps gazing deeply into the flame of its wand... Yes, perfectly, you can even elight your own wand to try mirroring that."
"You, Marill, try to feel ESPECIALLY this moisture in the air, please! You're a real Water Type now, and once you are able to raindance for me, you can summon exactly such a scenario. Or a huge downpour, as you desire. You can use Water Sport if it's helpful for you too."
"Both of you can also compare their reaction to the others. You both are precious and valued Pokemon for you, and I'd like you two to get along despite being a firely fox and a waterly mouse."

(Yes, this is TrainingNo.1 for the first Encounter Slot.)

Eventually, Shiva managed to find that secret shop Heart described her. This must be it... Oh joy and excitement!

Carefully and silently, she stepped inside and before the tribesman there. No, Shiva is not interested in the variaty of peat displayed on the table, but she innerly smiles as this reminds her on Tandal.

After having given the tribesman a respectful bow, she began to voice her plea: "I'm thankful for having found this shop and being able to speak with you, tribesman and vendor. Shiva is what they call me, and I'm coming from far away to this village. Doy you speak Common? I have heard you sell instruments here?"

(Before even asking about the flute, breaking the ice by buying/trading some other things before we get on asking about the flute. These 'other things' are that wooden whistle just because I lol'd how you described it [for free] and that thump harp [trading one Antidote worth 100$ for it]. I'm refering to the offered goods mentioned here --> http://pokemonuranium.co/forum/showthrea...0#pid32880)

Also he train Viktor, since he demonstrate the wish to get stronger and to help increase the loaylty between trainer and pokemon, since trade its not a good experience for any Pokemon and too increase the happiness between them and make him feel (Viktor) grow stronger (1 Training session). And for the last he take Nidorino for train, to help increase they proximity, and for at least help his rebel side (1 Training session).

...he did leave the window open for the bees to come in and out while gathering honey...

...it wasn't very windy right now, though...even if it did look like it was going to rain...

...how odd...

Kirlia's smiling a little now.  This could work.  This could actually work!  And when it does, he hopes Nathan's mood will improve...

Well, it's about time they got ready for this performance...they didn't have long now until dusk...

Braixen gets an Empathy check.

(4)(2)(1)(3)(2)(5)(2) Two bonus XP!

Braixen shivers as he thinks about all that moisture, but allows Marill's delight in it to calm him.

Thanks for linking to the post. That helps a lot!

Only the guy that speaks Common is in the shop. Heart's friend Mannawhehi is not to be found.

He tells Shiva about the wooden whistle's crafting, which does help break the ice. Trading a civilized item also helps! Even if it is low value.

Heart, those three Pokemon gain 1XP.

They're not eligible for a training roll yet, but whenever they might be, you should describe how you train them. You can feel free to get creative with this.

Oh I forgot something.

During all your training, Ditto never again turns into a Magnemite, or any other Pokemon not present.

Shiva accepted both that whistle and was delightful to learn about its crafting. She wasn't very sure how she could make good use of a whistle - but that didn't matter for now, as she was just enjoying this little thing. She carefully packed it away.

Not so the thumb harp though, which she shyly but internally curious tried to coax some first notes from it right away. It wasn't really a melody, but she was already feeling somewhat entranced by this piece of art. That she had no idea what a Cocaran actually is, she didn't mind - she'd probably be incredibly amused by what funny kinds of Pokemon dwell on the planet if she'd ever find out.

K. She could feel that the atmosphere was lighter here, and she mentally prepared to bring up the second reason why she's been so eager to see this shop... before looking up to the guy speaking Common. In her voice was eager, hope and awe, and she made sure that her request feels like an important things for her. "I'm not doubting that your instruments are the finest, sir. I'll take good care of my received pieces! Now, do allow me to ask a thing... I have heard you also are in possession of a flute, presumably a traditional one from the original natives of the Mamo folk? Rest assured, I don't want to have it - just see it. Such a treasure surely has its own charm. How lovely must it sound to play the Skirl of the Southern Wind on it, enchanting the people and Pokemon listening and eventually letting the Incranate of the Southern Wind hear it and appear personally to grant us her generosity in the form of rich beams of sunlight and fluffy warm seeds. I desire to see her... Summon her with my voice, and be carried away by her with no return... Not just because I can, this has an importance that may decide over the faith of the biggest city in whole Chreshire." Next, Shiva bowed low to them, her hair falling forward to cover most of her facial area. "Please come to the place the bonfire blazes in entirerly when dusk is falling, and contribute the melody of the Skirl to my chanting."

She'll remain in that bow until she as gotten an answer.
