You know his sentiments, I strongly guess.

To the Western End of the Great Divide then?

And another reason Nathan's using Orthros to keep warm is he's already wearing 2 layers of clothing plus a coat.  Any more, and he'd barely be able to move.

Convenient that Ventus didn't think to ask Nathan about any of that and just jumped straight to passive aggression.

I would say how would Ventus/I know what Pokémon Nathan has at the moment since they never told them, but I guess that's being pedantic at this point. Besides, even if he knew you didn't have Rapidash he still has a point about wearing another sweator/more layers of clothings in his mental tirade against you (He wouldn't care you would barely be able to move).

Ventus/Shiva could also borrow Ditto from them and then use his high Insight to roll out for its Transformation instead, if Iron/Nathan would allow that.

OOC, I usually state what pokemon Nathan swaps in and out of the PC.  IC, Ventus might not know, but there's little excuse OOC if you're paying attention.

Nathan definitely cares about being able to move.  Traveling on a Metagross at high speed and sometimes even vertically?  He needs to be able to adjust his poition quickly or grab his pokeballs in the event something unexpected happens.

Nathan's got...reservations about using Ditto right now.  It doesn't really like him currently for obvious reasons, and relying on a pokemon that might not listen fully is risky business (even if it does have 0 disobedience).

And Ventus could be a bit more polite with his dislike.  That's the main issue Nathan has with Ventus right now.  It's far too blatantly 'ermagerd, I'm gonna keel u just for existing!'  No, just no.  Nathan's not going to tolerate that forever.  And I'm getting tired of seeing it.  The dog's nowhere near Ventus right now, hasn't caused any problems in weeks...there's no justifiable reason to take all that anger out on Orthros 24/7 as far as I and Nathan can see.

Fair point there, since I actually wasn't paying to much attention at the time. Sorry about that!

Good point, now that you bring that up!

True, but at the very least will you consider using them if the group ends up in a pinch because of Tailwind Traveling? A Ditto is an awful handy Pokémon for a lot of situations....

Complete and Undiltues Contempt/Fear for Orthros species is pretty frickin hard to tone done or politen past the point of tolerance/acceptance Ventus is begrudgingly giving to Nathan/Ortros already. You are also correct in there being no justifiable reason, but Ventus is not using logic here to dictate whether or not he should/should not hate Orthros, he's founding it off his past history with the speices, his paranioa, and his preconceived notions about them. His hatred of the beast is quiet illogical and set in stone, and is unlikely to diminish outside of drastic measures.

If Nathan lashes out because of this, their is more than a good chance that Ventus will leave rather than be forced to play nicer with either him or the dog, regardless of the ramifications it will have. Either that, or he'll just tell Nathan to deal with it, as he's the one that brought such contempt on himself for keeping the dog to begin with.

On an entirely unrelated note, could Lucifer use Tailwind every so often to speed up the Metagross like Alteria, Iron?

Lucifer could speed them up but not as much as Altaria did. And the limits on how many characters you can affect with a group attack still applies - so he'd speed up the Metagross but not the trainers and party Pokemon.

Ventus and Nathan are going to have to work this out somehow. Ventus should keep his opinions to himself, since it's not making the game fun and it's making it hard for Nathan to use Orthros, which is a right he has.

It's perfectly in character for Ventus to just clam up about this. He's done that before with his disagreements.

Sorry I have to step in, but it's obvious this issue is making people have less fun.

Definitelly the second option, as that Deltadog is completely Nathan's thing, Windos explained why Ventus behaves towards the dog the way he does, and Shiva can always get a hold on Ven if she feels the passive aggression rising in him, silently motioning him to let it be as 1. he made his viewpoint to the dog clear and 2. outta-chara, it'd be unfair if Ven's forced out just because of that, causing my chara to suffer and despite Nathan.

Sounds alright to GM?

If Nathan HAS to, he will use Ditto.  It could turn into a Metagross very easily, and having a Metagross that'll actually listen to orders would be very beneficial.  Particularly since directly Transforming into a specific pokemon also gives Ditto every move they know regardless of the usual exp restriction.

That's why Nathan was trying to reason there, Windos.  I'm tired of seeing it because it's not changing, and I don't want to play around it.  Ventus ignoring the statements is counterproductive to fixing the issue.

So if Lucifer speeds up the Metagross but not the party, would they all be flung off them while traveling, or would it just mean that they only travel fast but react to things normally?

....Even if he keeps his opinions entirely to himself, he's going to be far from happy about it and it will still negatively affect his relationship with Nathan. At the point were Ventus has to constantly bite his tongue and swallow his anger/fear for Nathan's/Orthros' shake alone without consideration to his own feelings, I'm honestly better off playing with a new character that gets along with everyone better.

The latter would make me incredibly sad and take away a lot of fun of the campaign for me. :C RIP Vishnu-OTP and hello broken Shiva.

Windos, please just screw everything and leave the dog to Nathan, you made your point clear more than once that you hate the dog. Ventus does not have to repeat this everytime he sees the dog.

The only way I see thing becoming stable is if Ventus stops directing his anger/wrath towards Nathan/Orthros, but choose to totally ignore/avoid interacting with them at all while Orthros is out and a little while after, and let Shiva do the talking/interacting in his stead.
