Before Heart forget he use a Pokeball to catch Gible. One or three must be enough.

All Nathan (very quietly) says is, "...can we just please get to the cave so someone can defrost Kirlia?"

His confidence is 100% shot right now, and Heart yelling at him hadn't helped matters any...

*rummaging in bagpack* "I don't seem to own any Ice Heal, nor an Aspear Berry, Nathan, I'm sorry for this. Before I'd use any of the precious Lum Berry Decoctions of mine, does someone else have something on hand to defrost a Pokemon?"

Ventus lets out a put upon sign as Shiva said this, but never the less he motions to Apsis (Who had been having a jolly good time Paralyzing that dared harm her master, *Hiiss!*) to come back over to his side and turned towards Nathan with stoic look of displeasure, waving off Heart trying to give up such a valuable healing Item . "No need for that. I'll have Apsis thaw Kirlia along with Lucifer out with Fire Fang once we reach safe ground, if that is acceptable to you Nathan. All I ask is you just pull yourself together before we face off against whatever set these Pokémon upon us, as you can afford to deal with your problems later in less hostile terrain...."

Heart then return the full heal in his pack. "Well, in that case, Rose can help too. I can order her to use Ember to melt the ice together Apsis. This might help."

Nathan doesn't particularly care which fire type move defrosts Kirlia (be it from Aspis, Rose, or Braixen), as long as someone does.  His only comment is, "...that was probably some kind of test...I don't think we'll face much more danger in that cave...I hope...not gonna know until we get there, though..."

...he doesn't feel like he passed, though...

*Flashback*

The researcher gives the rare collector a nod of his head, but since he didn't have any Revives for his little devil nor a Oran Berry to heal off the scraps Sandstorm gave Raphael, he decided to forgo healing for the time being and investigate those oddly kind Gliscors with Apsis by his side, clinging to the terrain/Metagross with aplomb! He would first attempt to capture with the one that saved Cottenee first, as that endeared it quite a bit to Ventus. If that didn't work, he would leave them be, as if they could afford to be nice/merciful to the group Pokémon, he would return the favor to them as well. Do unto others as they do unto you!

Shiva almost ceremonically picked that Great Ball up containing another big Unovian Pokemon now before it could fall down the cliff(!!!). She curiously eyed it, pondering what to do now... Heart however, neatly stopped any train of thought and earned a STERN look from her. "That is no Delta Pokemon, Heart. It looks like a normal Beartic, like those you can see on reportages on TV. Plus, it just seems to have an additional Ground...Type...for some reason... Ventus, have you as a researcher ever heard of such a thing?  (...)

"Indeed, as I've researched and seen such off Typing in non-Delta Pokemon being inflicted with either Forest Curse, Trick or Treat, and/or Soak. However, those only add to or covert a target Type with Grass, Ghost, or Water Typing respectively, while this Beartic has a Ground Typing added onto its usual one of Ice. This can only mean two things: an hither unknown Move is responsible for this, or some sort of power caused this phenomena to occur. Curious...... "

An unknown move or a strange power which may have caused additional Ground Type? How interesting! Shiva felt thankfullness waving through her at the thought that this Beartic has her OT and ID. Pretty sure it won't obey her though, and if she'd want to have a Cubchoo offspring for herself, she could easily obtain one at home. Well, the search for a proper new owner can be done way later then.

She didn't feel like calling out Braixen however, mostly because this was just no environment for a magical fierly fox + she'd be afraid of him eventually falling, as well Heart and Ventus already offered help with their Fire Types, so she can save her Lum Berry Decoctions for now, yay.

Felt like they have passed, though, as a group all together.

The Metagross stomp up the spire and crawl into the cave.

There is a very dim light coming from it. As you enter, you see this light comes from torches set in the walls, burning dimly. But the torches aren't made of wood - they are little rods of stone, with the flame burning at one end.

The cave walls and floor are all of clay - the Metagross immediately start sinking in, bit by bit - with interesting shapes worked into them. It looks a bit like a raging ocean, in clay form. Big scoops have been torn out here and there, marring the abstract workmanship.

A man sits in the center of the cave, his back to you. His skin is an odd dark reddish-orange color, and his hair is shockingly white. You can practically see his spine through his skin, and his limbs are skinny, with the exception of his forearms, which are bent akimbo and hard at work on something. He wears only a muddy white loincloth. The sounds of worked clay come from his workstation.

He's making a lot of funny noises - pops and whistles and rattles. Once, he sticks his thumb in his cheek and withdraws it with a sharp 'pop!' He doesn't even turn to see you.

Around the walls of the cave are madly scattered piles of things - stones, clay shards,....and fossils, just heaps of them, as carelessly strewn about as the broken items.

Kirlia immediately starts dripping water. Rose and/or Apsis easily thaw him the rest of the way. The man still hasn't turned around.
