Plot needs to progress, and it doesn't feel in-chara for Shiva to back off like the others! Sorry, Ven. If all of this prooves it was a bad idea, he is all free to scold her later.

Fair enough, dear, but that doesn't change the fact your making him fear for your safety by a large margin. Also, he's going to scold the heck out of you regardless whether this goes well or not, as doing something (to him) that blatently dangerous/risky and knowing his fears/paranioa towards magic deserves a good 'What the Hell?' speech? Won't happen for awhile, but it'll happen, trust me!

Originally, I just wanted Apsis to push Nathan towards interacting with Ventus so that both of them were distracted from their own worries/doing stupid things. Then you took it into another direction and I though 'Let's see where this goes' and decided to work at the relationship between the two instead, and I'm pleasantly surprised how it turned out! Nice!

Also, since this is more Nathan's quest's and Ven's skittish about talking to the Obviously Benevolant Yet Still Magical Man, why not let Nathan/Shiva handle the talking? I can have Ven start the conversation if you want, of course.

Oh. Well, in that case, give her that scolding as she indeed knows about his fear/paranoia and his protectiveness over her being AND noticed your worried glance eventually, but her curiosity and fascination won over it... Yes, she is able to take that scolding from him . Just stay fair and don't abandon her because of that. (I trust Ven won't, remember how things got serious the last time this happened!)

Nathan did mention Mesprit as I recall, but only once: when the whole group went to meet Dagny and he explained what was going on

It'd be the icing on the cake, but Shiva has no idea Whimsy can pull off such a thing even as it's a Tandorian exclusive.

Right now, Ventus doesn't really have much to say that isn't being said by everyone else, so unless the eremit directly questions him about something, mum's the word here!
