I'd recommend not trying to stop Ventus for exiting stage left, as I don't want him to cause problems for the group by reacting in a most negative way, or being a grumpus that makes communicating with the emerit all the more difficult.

I'm actually 100% certain that it's a 'yes', for what that's worth.

Gut feeling says yes, but if so then their is no way in hell Ventus is ever going to follow whatever fate has been forseen or laid out by them. Ven's paranoid and stubborn enough to deliberately go against them, as he does not take kindly to unknown/mystical/arcane forces trying to manipulate and handle him in any manner, no matter how well intensioned they may be in their actions.

Well, that's a bit sad to hear as it feels like an interesting thread, but it's very understandable that Ven reacts like this given his backstory of doom and despair. No blaming for this choice.

I still think its a baaaad idea to split the group since I feel bad vibes coming from this old man and we be better if we all stick together just in case this man attack us. But since Windos and Phantom ask to avoid stop him, I will not stop. But why did Ventus was so storm about what the man say? Its not like he would be bother by what a crazy eremit is saying.

I don't think he'll attack us, and Ven is just sitting there at the entrance of the cave, so it's not really 'splitting up'. IF some aid should be needed because there are trouble, Ven will probably come running in no time.

When Ventus destroyed Braixen's den (this was before Heart joined the group), he got a rather...strongly opinionated message from 'nature itself' or something.  And nature in this campaign is probably the most magical thing out there.

Hence why Ventus hated that voice interrupting his feelings of accomplishment at destroying a 'dangerous' power spot.

Braixen now hates Ventus for life and the voices of nature refuse to speak and interact with him ever again because of that wanton destruction for nothing but personal satisfaction.

Ventus is VERY bothered by this topic coming up again.

He'll actually be just outside the entrance sitting on his Metagross mount, but that's semantics at this point! He'll of course come guns blazing if old man Ground decides to be a Bad Guy, but at that point we're likely to be dead due to mumbo jumbo dumbo!

Ven left because of the wizard/whatever arcane being the old man tried to lecture him on his fate/tried to teach him stuff he didn't want to learn, and the connection to that Voice he heard after destroying the Fireweed Den (which he still considers an unequivicolaly good act, btw) . He doesn't want to lose his temper or, more likely , be a bubbling pot of anger, wrath, tension, and stress that would make EVERYONE uncomfortable/scared during the meeting.
