[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(12-31-2017, 08:04 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Yang gives you a respectful incline of his head for honoring their agreement, before they daintly began to tuck into their portion as well, and await the ordained anointment his lusterous scales. Kingdra, on the other hand, detected that was not all you had to reveal during this exquisite pampering session, and gave you a curious yet slightly impatient look so characteristic of the raging sea dragon goddess!

"Ah, as Keen Eyed as ever, I see.  I take it you saw the glint of metal, didn't ya?  Well, let me just dig around in my pocket for a moment..."

Reiner pulls out the pill like device and holds it up to show Kingdra.  Regular ability capsules are basically medicines, but this...well, the capsule is transparent, and there's a thin, circular device carefully suspended in the middle of the container...

"THIS is a brand new toy for you to use.  I think you're going to like it.  Sure, being a Sniper is fun and all, but what if you could take advantage of Yang's rain to start moving significantly faster in addition to hitting harder?  Or what if you could dampen your surroundings so we don't meet an untimely demise via getting blown up while simultaneously making everything wet enough to significantly affect the flow of battle?  That's what a normal Ability Capsule would do for ya.  Now, what if you got to choose which particular skill you wanted to hone at a whim?  Sure, it's not quite as impressive as Yang's capabilities, but I don't think it needs to be.  Of course, it WOULD be amazing if you could use all three abilities at once, but that's probably going to take time and/or money we don't have at this exact moment.  Still, sounds fun and potent, doesn't it?"

"Hmm, more Takyoaki please....and one It with be awesome Mr Snugles. Lets fly away in our flying Luxelong Falkor..."
*SNOOOOOOOOORE!*

That was a good dream Arial was having between his motocyple snores.

While the racket you were making in your slumber would normally be enough to wake the dead and the knock them out again, Riza was apparently completely unbothered by it, judging by how peaceful their own rest was. Did the rough living she endured (and arguably will continue to do so) inure her to such discomforts, or has sleeping with a bunch of buzzing and chittering Bug types prepare her for your horrid nasal noises? Your pseudo brother Gaspar was of course used to your snoring after all the years you two have experienced together, so they were fine too.

Shiny Gligar, on the other hand, popped back out from his temporary cave he was napping in before the racket you started making woke him right with a very grumpy look on their face. He jumped up and glided over to roost upside down directly over you, giving you admonishing glare for your terrible sleeping habits, before they gently pinched your nose closed, which thankfully cut off that horrid snoring entirely. With a dutifull and stern nod at your comatose form, before going back to sleep himself, body automatically ready to pinch your nose shut again should you start making more noise....

Kingdra's didn't think much of the dinky looking Uber Cap. at first despite its quirkiness, but that outlook was shattered as you got full swing into your pitch for the sheer magnificence of this device. By the end of it they were wide eyed as a giant seahouse dragon could be, looking fairly incredulous that it could DO that for her, until you all but said that you got the increadibly powerful and useful Item juuuust for her. Her expression became even more stunned by this gift......before a look of pure joy and excitement almost exploded across their face , and she let out a bubbly cry of happiness as she almost Dragon Rushed straight into you, smothing you in a hug born of pure gratitude and familial love (I specify because enough women love love in his life, and I don't want to give Reiner MORE problems to worrying about) . Yes yes yes yes! With the power provided by this device, she'll be able to do more than she could ever before, most of all becoming an even mightier Dragon for Reiner! Thank you, Master!

Reiner ALMOST drops the Uber Capsule when Kingdra collides with him, but manages to keep ahold of it despite almost fumbling.

"Ahhahahaha!  Love ya too, girl!  But, uh...I do have to stick this device on you for it to work its magic, and you'll have to sit still while I do so.  And then we'll get ya nice and polished once you're done eating so you're presentable for cuz tomorrow."

Of course, Reiner's more than aware that Arbok is just a tad jealous of Kingdra's new toy...

"Ah, don't shed that skin quite yet, Arbok.  I have something for you as well.  Wouldn't be fair if Kingdra got the only gift, now, would it? Now then, if you'd just let me...reach...my bag...Kingdra...okay, you're squeezing...that's fine...ack! No, it's not! Careful with...my back...ow!"

Once Reiner eventually squirms free of Kingdra's enthusiastic hug, he looks through the unorganized mess his bag has become and pulls out three of the four TMs in there.  He'd have to spend an hour or two organizing his stuff again...shouldn't have taken him 5 minutes to find those discs...*sigh*...

"Alright, your gifts might not be as fancy as Kingdra's, but I think my other two main draconic pokemon deserve a little extra something as well.  Arbok, for you...TMs for Toxic EX and Will-O-Wisp EX.  I know, still not your style, but I'm certain you'll be able to make good use of these dangerous moves.  You'll be able to inflict all sorts of nasty stuff on those who are foolish enough to try facing you in the future."

"...and for you, Yang...Aerial Ace EX.  You might not be a Dragonite yet, or maybe never if you prefer being a Dragonair, but this'll save ya the trouble of having to put in some extra effort to learn a decently strong Flying move in the future."

Your queen of the sea was hardly mollified by your warning, given the affectionate tone you gave it in, but never the less she reluctantly eased up on the hug and back away, awaiting you to set the Uber Cap. to her. Oh, she can't wait to try out her other Abilities, and get a feel for how powerful they'll preformaing acrobatics with Swift Swim, and drenching the area with Damp! Which ability do you want to switch?

Arbok was mildly annoyed that his teammate/rival got a super nice present and not him , especially after his recent pratfall indirectly at their hands, but that changed to pleasant surprise when you pulled out the two highly illegal and extremely dangerous and explained their uses. Sure, inflicting status and crippling his oppenents was usually secondary to mauling and pummeling them within an inch of their life and terrifying them in the process (of course, *Hiiss!*) , but these extreme Status inflicting moves are so nasty and devastating they are right up his scaly ally! Arbok now knows Toxic EX and Wil-lo-Wisp EX!

Upon learning and processing this knowledge, the even deadly giant snake decides on a whim to test his move on one of the training dummies. First move was Wil-lo-Wisp EX, as he was curious to how THAT would work with his biology, until he ended up hacking up a white-bluish ball of fire straight at it! Even with the equipment designed to be resistant to every Elemental type that is currently known, the dummy easily lite up and started to merrily burn away. Shaking his head to clear that weird sensation of using that move, Arbok decided to put out the fire with Toxic EX to test it out.....which worked. Sorta. The move/toxins that left his bodies was pure black and/or dark purple in coloration, and yet was strangely odorless despite you thinking it would reck like who knows what, and upon hitting the fire it caused it to flare up significantly, burning even brighter and more intensely until it put itself out from the force, leaving a heavily pocked pole that once held the dummy. That was....not what he was expecting.....or anybody really. Huh.

Move Combo revealed: Inflicting Burn and then trying to Toxic/Toxic EX them will cause extreme exothermic reactions between the toxins and fire, dealing 1-3 Lethal Damage on the spot and doubling the Burn Damage at the end of the round (Making it Lethal in the process) , before the Burn burns itself out. Apply a poison move and then using a fire move will add 1-3 damage dice (Varies based on amount of Poison on target and its strength) if the Poison move would leave a residue on the target that could combust.

The regal Yang took the offered TM with a respectful nod of his head and a smile, as having such a powerful, deadly move in his movepool arsenal that can't and won't miss with future STAB is a great boon indeed. Not enough to raise his Loyalty or Happiness, but it certainly made progress towards that 2nd Point!

(Once you finish reacting to what has happened in this scene, feel free to move on to bed! I'll get the End of Day report right afterwards and get the new day started FINALLY. )

Well, given that it can't exactly rain indoors without some extreme shenanigans, looks like Kingdra's going to be making things wet herself with Damp!

"Huh.  Well, that was...interesting.  Looks like you've got an interesting move combination there, Arbok.  Might be useful.  Probably makes those moves a lot more fun to use as well, right?"

Of course, there's ONE more draconic pokemon in Reiner's repetoire that nobody except him has really paid much attention to.  Good thing he doesn't really care if he gets the attention or not.  Reiner's gonna see if he might like some anyways, though.

"Well, ya want a little bit of polish and some quality pokesnacks too, Raijin?"

With her HA selected as their current ability, it took the Uber Cap. a minute to run a diagnostic scan of its target, recording all relevant data pertaining to Kingdra and its function in order to properly calibrate itself. Once that was done, it only took a few second for the ACTUAL ability change process to start up, and when it was finished EVERYBODY notice how humid and moist the atmosphere of the training room had become, as if the climate control had gone out of wack in truly spectacular fashion! Kyub (Who had been quietly hanging back and letting you do your own thing for now) shivered in distinct discomfort as she felt the very Fire that fueled her become....well, dampened by her Master's Pokémon Brrr.... The Uber Cap. is now set to Kingdra, and can't be used by anything else unless you clear its data without bricking it. Kingdra's ability is now Damp!

Arbok gave a firm nod of his head, a devious smile now plastered on his face as the knowledge he could inflict status AND cause grevious bodily harm in the process was fantastic greatly pleased the snake!

Upon being released, Raijin passively to in the sight of the quite familiar workout room , as he was just training here with his old master just a scant few days ago, until he noticed the now Dampened atmosphere of the room. The thunder god  took a deep breath , letting it out with a contemplative *hmm* and idly arching almost blinding currents of electricity between the fingers of his left hand, before nodding his head, aburptly cutting it off and turning to face you with his typical bored, apathetic expression. He then calmly and politely nodded at you offer, as he really didn't care what he ate so long as he got fed, and the oil did provide a tactical advantage he otherwise didn't have.

His gaze also briefly passed over the kitsune in disguise, holding their gaze with for a moment.....before he shrugged and turned back to look at you with typical apathy. Wow, Archie was right how calm, stoic, and totally disinterest he is.....

"Good, good.  And if you want to be a Sniper again or try swimming faster when it's sufficiently wet without Damp, just...will it to happen, I guess.  Seems it'll take a few seconds for the effects to kick in, so don't be disappointed if it doesn't work right away, Kingdra."

Hmmm...how did Kyubi react to Raijin, though?  Reiner figured Raijin would react like that, so he was a little more focused on Kyubi at that point...he might have to talk to her later, depending on how she reacted...

Regardless of that, though, it's about time all the dragons and lizards got fed and polished so we can finally progress to Friday morning!

Kingdra gave a sharp, happy nod of his head, quite happy/content with her power to inundate the environment with her prime Element's power and influence.....even if it may bite her in the but at one point or another.

Your Ninetales? only had a faint look/air of curiousity around them when they exchanged glances with Raijin, along with that sensation that he knew Old Kyubi and that she used to know him, but besides that she was unbothered. Really, this Dampness was ruffling her feathers and making her more uncomfortable then the thunder lizard ever did!

Eventually, you fed and polished all the Dragon/Draconic pokemon (with some grumbling on Arbok's part, of course!) , returned them all to their Pokeballs, and exited the deluxe training room with Kyubi closely following after you in toe. Mr. Mime was waiting outside , and in no time at all quickly escorted you to your room, revealing it with hardly any aplomb on their part:

"Here is your room, Mr. Arendse and Ms. Sterling. If the décor is not to your taste, I will provide you a catalogue for you to select which design and furnishing you prefer, and have your room remade however you like. A servent will also come to atend to any needs you have if you ring that bell on the night stand *Points to it*. Now, I bid you to good night, sir and madam, and hope that you have an excellent night's sleep" the psychic butler said, before closing the door behind you two (Mew had return to her Pokeball by this point to get some rest herself). Kyubi at first blinked owlishly as she took in Archie's and Old Kyubi's room, and odd sense of nostalgia and de ja vu , wanding around and trailing her fingers on the various objects here with slight nervous wonder. Eventually, this feeling passed as she got reaquanted with the room to her liking, smiling slightly to herself and settling down on the bed, sitting down on the edge facing you and the door crossed legged and beconing you over with a innocent wave.

"This room......I may not remember why, but it makes me feel comfortable and at home. *Yaaaaaawn* Master, let's go to bed now. I'm so tiiiiired , and we have to get all the rest needed to accomplish all your goals!"

"Ack...yeesh...if my back wasn't all out of sorts right now, I'd probably take the couch, to be honest..."

Reiner CAREFULLY lays on the bed (probably with a little assistance from Kyubi).  Laying down on a super soft bed feels REALLY good.

...he can't help but look at the mirror that the bed is facing, though...he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched...
