[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(01-04-2018, 07:36 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: By the time you get yourself re-composed and ready to kick some ass/calm your cousin's ass down, you make your way back to the Living Room, finding Angelica lookly sharply dressed in her uniform sitting by her lonesome (and was quick to stand to attention and snap you a greeting + salute). Riza was nowhere to be seen, though, and you don't detect her lingering in the shadows. Perhaps she's still caring for Arial, despite he being rather undeserving of such attention right now?

...well, Riza wasn't likely to go anywhere without her pokemon.  Reiner has a little time to wait.  But only a little.

"At ease, Angelica.  We're waiting on Arial's new friend to return for the time being.  If she wants her pokemon back, she'll be prompt about showing up."

{Give Friends Back, Yes? ! Me Promised Behave, Be Good! So Please, Give! Then Leave You Alone. No Bother, No Interfere, Promise!}

Well, she's refreshingly direct and straight to the point, unlike some others you could name....though you could do without the dramatics.

Reiner digs through his bag for a moment...(he knows where they are exactly, he's just dragging it out on purpose)

4 pokeballs to Riza.  One Beautifly, one Shedinja, one Yanmega, and one Volcarona.

"You're gonna need 'em, probably, and keep in mind you'll probably be skinned alive by several people here if anything happens to me because of you."

Plan time!

"Alright, so here's the lowdown.  My cousin's coming to town this afternoon.  With a gun and a vendetta against me.  Not going to kill me, mind you, but I'd rather not be captured and hauled away.  So, I need to get something done this morning before she gets here and finds me.  Angelica, I'd like you to locate Erika for me.  I need to meet her at the soonest opportunity at *insert that restaraunt's name here*.  If she's already there, good.  If not, keep an eye on her so I can locate her quickly.  Riza, I need you to keep an eye out for Clair and watch my back.  She's got light blue hair she wears in a long ponytail, blue eyes like mine, and is probably going to be wearing a rather silly looking outfit with a cape and a blue orb around her neck (cuz everyone likes to rag on her outfit in HG/SS Tongue ).  Oh, and she'll probably look really irritable at best, too.  I need to head to the Pokemon Center first, report to my superiors.  Once that's done, we'll go from there.  Understood?"

Riza practically snatches them out of your hands soon after you present them to her, cuddling them all to her chest with what you suspect a happy/relieved expression (since her face is perpetually shadowed by her cowl). She'd probably released them right now to check to see how they were copping, but your none to subtle warning and generally terrifying presence belays such a tearful reunion (at least, not around you, that is).

Once Angelica calmed down and Riza retreated to a safe distance from you, they heard their respective orders and each gave their own unique affirmations, Angelica saluting and going 'Yes sir, I will obey your will effective immediately!' and Riza giving what you thought was a nervous chitter of agreement. Neither had any questions since your instructions were clear/straightforward enough, and so together you departed from the Living Room and the Aurum Vex. straight afterwards . The police officer soon beat feat towards the city square/hub of the Flower Festival where you indicated said tea shop would be, the reformed serial killer vanish the moment she darted off into the nearby allyway shadows, while you briskly made your way towards the Pokémon Center.

Being an diligent and keen eyed Rocket, you also made sure to check out the ongoing scene while in route to the Center, and found that despite your night time antics with Riza and Buzzwole that the local police presence is relatively the same as its been for awhile, though the officers patrolling looked more.....experienced. The general public also seemed calm enough as well, though they were certainly on edge after the festivities were interrupted in rather....graphic manners, and the crowds seemed thinner as well, though that may also be because the festival is starting to wind day at this point. Overall, while things have certainly heated up and made all things crooked and no good that much harder, it was within reason and well within your abilities to handle. Arial, on the other hand...

When you arrived at the Pokémon Center and discretely asked the on staff Rocket Nurse to arrange a conference call, they scurried off for a few minutes to fufil your will (Leaving their Chansey to manage things) , before they came back with a charinged expression. "Forgive, sir, but it appears all your business associates (Read: Executives and Boss) are currently busy with other matters or are unavailable for a meeting. \ I received no answer as to when they would be available, but I will let you know via text message when that opportunity arises."

Drat? Darn it? Your not sure whether or not this is a good thing or not, as while you are not being grilled for details right now, what the heck has them so occupied right now......?

Friday Morning Encounters:

Difficulty: Moderate to Hard (Depends on who fights him)
Reward: $2500, 1 Pokémon, 1 Police Weapon  (Theft) ; Double XP (Friendly Battle)

Blast...EVERYONE of note seems to be on edge...the Executives AND the boss, Samael, Lindworm...Reiner doesn't like this...best avoid that officer and his Arcanine, too (didn't Angelica say his name was Nathaniel earlier?)...the dog would probably recognize him in the spot, even if the trainer didn't...and Reiner's going to be involved in enough trouble as it is...

Speaking of stone evolutions, though, seems the thinned crowds have FINALLY given Reiner a chance to talk to those salesmen about those coupons and get in and out without spending too much time there.  Reiner grabs a Water Stone with the Elemental Coupon.  What does the Mask Salesman have up for grabs, though?

--------------------------------------------------

Skipping forward a little...

Alright, small amount of shopping done, time to find out what's...going...

...huh?

...Reiner stops midstep on his way to talking with Lindworm.

...was that...an eevee?

...

Dragonstrike's recommendation to get an eevee is still kinda nitpicking at Reiner...why would he...?

...

...this might be his chance to find out...and if he waited too long, it'd probably vanish...he needs to gather information too, though...

...

...drat, there's really only one option here...maybe Angelica will end up hearing something while she's looking for Erika...

...Reiner goes in the direction he thinks he saw that eevee...carefully...he didn't want to startle it if he could avoid that...

[I can guarantee that eevee is not evolving into a Nucleon if Reiner obtains it.  Well, not intentionally, anyways...]

Once you approached the Evolutionary Stone Saleswoman and got a good look at them, two things become instantly apparently to you: she's a bit of a old miser, and that she give no damns of what others think of her.

"Hmpt, that an Elemental Coupon you got there? *Sighs* Welp, there goes that sale.....what you want to exchange it for? (....) Water Stone? Give me a minute *Takes coupon, and turns around in her stand to get something, then turns around again* here (You obtained a Water Stone!) . If you want to buy anything else, stiff up some Poke, and we can get to negotiating. Now scram, you're holding up the line. Have a nice day, whatever, blah blah blah....."

You are quickly shooed away from her stand as she accept another customer in her gruff manner, so you presumably shrug it off and head over to the Masked Salesmans. Fortunately for you, he's no tattoed elderly person with an attitude! Unfortunately for you.....

[Image: happy_mask_salesman_by_nutty_acorn-d6i2ifw.png]

...he's looks like an escaped character from a Monty Python sketch, and acts.....mysteriously.

"Welcome Welcome, Good Sir! I've been expecting you for quite some time, but business on both our ends have prevented us from meeting until now, unfortunately, but no matter, no matter! Now, hand over the coupon you have stored in your satchel, and I'll see what will get you! *Takes it from you* Hmm.....got this from the Exotic Salesmans, yes? This will get you something nice, but nothing too extravagant.....unless you are willing to spend some Poke or barter, that is. Sir, I can gariteed you'll like what you see, so how about it? Or should I just bring out the other little old thing I had in mind for you instead?"

Once you've finished your business with....that man, you rapidly move away from him, with them calling out to you : "Thank you the business, Good Sir! Continue that way to find what you are looking for!" as you left. On a whim, you decided to follow his 'advice', and it lead you straight to the side of a deserted building.....and right next to the Eevee you were looking for earlier. Yeap, that it is, alright, and its Wild by what your senses tell you. How the hell one went feral here in a metropolitan area such as this is anyone's guess, but there it is, scavaging through the garbage and looking for a meal.

Stealth Roll: DEX (3) + Survival (3) + Stealth (3) = 9D6 Dice
(6)(1)(6)(5)(4)(5)(5)(1)(5) 5 Successes, the dice are feeling favorablish!
Eevee's Alertness Roll: Insight (3) + Survival (5) + Alert (3) = 11D6 Dice
(3)(1)(5)(4)(6)(1)(6)(3)(2)(5)(3) 4 Successes

The high mutagenic brown fox did not notice your stealthy approach, so it continues to obliviously mind its own business finding some breakfast. You got the element surprise in this case, so use it wisely now!

When everyone was doing their things, Arial was in the bed snoring a lot like a motocycle using a chainsaw, but this time only worse. Even someone from many kylometers could hear. If Arial is doing on purpose to make angry Emily, no one could now. Perhaps Mina is hearing?

Nobody hears you whatsoever, besides Shiny Gligar, who quickly puts a stop to such antics by clamping your nose shut once more. They have been hanging in the background watching you get roughed up (Much to their own amusement, mind you!), but make a return just to deal with your snoring!

Well, that old lady was...definitely gruff.  She'd probably been stocking up quite a collection of coupons...

This next guy though...he was just...strange wasn't a strong enough word for it...frankly, he wouldn't be surprised if he knows Mew and/or Lilith personally...

"Might be willing to spend or barter.  Whatcha have in mind, and what else ya got?"

[Welp, I'm definitely not surprised he showed up.  Name kinda says it all.]

(By the way...is Arbok naturally shedding his skin today or tomorrow?  And Yang is tomorrow, yes?)

--------------------------------------------

...alright, let's see here...how was he going to go about this?  Hmmm...

[Give him a sec to think.  Let's deal with the mask salesman first.]
