[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Wanted to talk about my plans for Stair City.

Since two people are confined to two encounter slots per day, I'd like to move away from that encounter slot model and sort of focus on the interesting parts.

So after this day, don't do any 'grinding.' If you want to have a battle for character development, that's perfectly fine. And Ventus and Heart should still have their battle if they wish. But just for XP, I don't want to roll out too many more of those in Stair City.

To make up for this, the Little Cup will start soon. It will take place over a few in-game days and take place in the evenings after trainers are home from work. That means the Daycare folk can still participate. Matchups happen throughout the evening, so you can also explore the city and take care of any business you need to attend.

The Little Cup is single-elimination with cash prizes, but you can find things to do around the Little Cup to earn money or interact with NPCs and stuff. There will be more to do than just watch battles.

Whee, I'm looking forward to Little Cup soon starting, especially if there will be more to do than just watch battles when it's not your turn!~! Seems like I won't be able to get Flame Burst on Litwick before it'll start, but that is fine as I actually didn't counted on that.

There are two things I wanted/desired to do after Shelter-work, Iron, I guess I've already meantioned them towards you: One would be a friendly fight against Lil' Freddy to see how Tropius does under Sunny Weather and to actually have him (Tropius) battle the first time, the other would take place much later when it's already dark - that's actually searching for these feral Umbreon and Eevee in Stair City together with Vaporeon, no desire to catch any of them, it's more meant to bond a little with Vaporeon and maybe a tad bit chara-development. Does that go along with your plans? If only one thing of these is possible, I'm choosing the search for these feral Eevee/Umbreon, as trying out Tropius can actually happen anywhere, doesn't have to be here in Stair.

Ah, one more question to GM: As the Little Cup takes place over a few in-game Days, are we actually allowed to swap out Pokemon in the meantime for battle with slightly different team members on a match? Or is it like 'You register a team of six Pokemon before you participate, and you are asked to use these and ONLY these then for matches'?

Registration. However, I will allow you to add more Pokemon (up to six) as the event goes on - the rule is you must register your new Pokemon before your time slot is announced.

If you get out there and see that the field is all Water types, you could add a Grass type later.

Perfectly fine. Everyone should feel very free to do anything that explores the city.

Neat, I appreciate the rule of being allowed to register up to six more Pokemon before one's Time Slot (means, when it's your turn in a match, right?) is announced. I already know my Main Six, but it doesn't hurt to have backup.

No, up to 6 total. To take advantage of this rule you have to start with less than six Pokemon registered.

But I CAN register six Pokemon right from the start if I'd want, can I? I'm actually pondering whether I shall register Nightshade for Leechseeding and No-Fail-Magical Leaf, or Chicorita with Razor Leaf as a Spread Move, but I guess I know which one I'll be favouring then.

I'd also appreciate if we could clear up how a move like Fire Spin does work then please, as I'll be teaching Infestation to one of my participants. I'd actually be fine with the blocking ends when the Pokemon leaves the battle = cannot hold up the move anymore, but therefor typeless damage is dealt.

I vote for the typeless damage and the move's effects only lasting as long as the user is on the field as well. That's 3 votes for that, I believe.

Alright, I'll paper-note this agreement next to my Fire Spin and soon Infestation. That has been cleared fast, thank you!~

Since I'm waiting for @Lord Windos to actually reply to Shiva having arrived in dorm and Heart finishing his battle/serving us his dinner, I'll get offline for a little then.
EDIT: Or not.
