[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

...

...*sigh*...well, better get started on researching what info is needed for those Cleanse Tags, then...the library should easily fill any gaps in the information contained in his journal...

Nathan has 3 Lore, so this is easy for him to do!  Time to get reading!  Solomon gets to join in too!

You could flashback to the lobby if you preferred. No need to try to synchronize everything perfectly.

But yes, you learn everything Shiva knows about the lore of Cleanse Tags. You probably wouldn't be able to make one as well as her right now, since she's been thinking about it and working with others who know about them in Arrowroot.

It becomes clear what she has asked you for: the name of one of the many shrines to Legendary or spirit Pokemon throughout Creshire. This is what the eremite called Earthpower.

The stronger the Legendary (and the more relevant to the task at hand), the stronger the Cleanse Tag. For example, you might choose a Rock type for the Ruins, or a Psychic type to represent Sarimanok, etc. You can also pick a shrine to a concept, such as 'loyalty' or 'bravery' which might be represented by a dog Pokemon or a fighting Pokemon respectively.

It's not the name of the Pokemon you need, though, it's the name of the shrine! Here's a few examples. You can ask me for others. A slight error in the symbol (similar to kanji) creates a huge flaw in the Cleanse Tag.
  • Em-Ri-Ti, a quiet shrine to Mesprit near Wineberry Town.
  • Em-Ri-Koko, a mobile shrine on a ship, often docked in Corsage Port. Represents Tapu Koko's influence.
  • Da-Ra-eki, a buried shrine to (ward off) Darkrai
  • Gi-Go-Ti, a shrine to Giratina but now sunken beneath the sea in southern Creshire somewhere.
  • Na-in-ri, a shrine to Landorus at the far western end of the Great Divide

Heart thanks the Nosepass and decided to return to Star City once more. He decided to make a quick battle to prepare himself for the big Little Cup to prepare everyone for the battle.

(Single battle. 2x2. 500 Pokedollar please)

Since everyone is busy with the Little Cup, the best you find is a battle for $250. "It'll be a warmup battle," says Singer Raist. "Let's do one without fainting so our Pokemon stay fresh for the Little Cup. 2x2? Perfect, that's just like a Little Cup battle."

He sends out Snubbull!

Shiva specifically asked for Cresselia's, so Nathan looks for that one first.

He makes especially sure to grab Mesprit's, for obvious reasons.  He'd have visit that shrine at some point, thinking about it...

And there's one more set he looks for...

...Regigigas, along with the three Regis of Stone, Ice, and Steel.

  • Kree-mor-kresh, shrine to Cresselia, buried within the Skull Ruins but still detectable by sensitive Pokemon.
Legend tells of a secret path connecting Cress City to this shrine.
  • Kree-ra-eki, shrine to hail Cresselia, on Garlicburg
  • Ra-ki-ki, shrine to Regigigas, on a distant eponymous island not visible from Creshire's coast
  • Ra-ki-ra, Regirock, thought to be hidden somewhere in the capital cities region
  • Ra-in-ki, Regice, on the unnamed peak directly opposite Mt Sentry in the Great Divide
  • Ra-ki-ti, Registeel, found in excavating Stair City and now placed within Dagny's Gym
  • Piripono, Shrine of Loyalty, Hog Potato Swamp. It is a carved Vulpix on a leash. It represents the blossoming of new loyalty, from devotion or love to a newfound friend.
  • Tangiwhannauo, Shrine of Care, Safari Zone. A living sod sculpture of Gardevoir facing down a Gothitelle. It represents care in times of greatest emotional turmoil, such as loss of a loved one.
