Huh. Less detail from Mallorn than I was expecting. Then again, he probably isn't very interested in Orre since there's probably not many business opportunities for him over there...

Well, if Shiva wants more detail, she can always ask Nathan.

Ask him about Orre's location?  Yup, he can tell ya where it is.  Some of its history and terrain?  Yup, he's got that covered.  Significant people in the region?  Covered.

There's no better person in Creshire to ask about those kinds of topics than Nathan.  And I'd like that to actually be...you know, relevant.

Agreed! I've been trying to do this by having Ventus trying to learn/help with the Old Unown translations and further archeological work, since my character figures that by bolstering his interest into those aspects of the boy, they'll eventually maybe develop some sort of cameradence that WON'T be subject to explosive emotional emissions. Wouldn't behoove Shiva to at least indulge their niche a little, especially since its only going to grow more useful as time goes on, not less, and being totally alienated from the expert on the matter could make things.....difficult.

We all know you want Nathan to be relevant; and do believe me, you already are and I am aware of how he could tell more of things on occassion and how it'd get important in the future, possibly. There is no need to hint on that everytime. The thing is, neither me nor Shiva really enjoy coming to him with every thing, like in this situation it was plain scenanically better to ask Professor Mallorn in order to get to know what Dr. Hypericac couldn't/wouldn't tell her - where Orre is located, that's all. We can get to speak/learn more about the Relic Stone and Celebi and everything later.

Another thing that adds a bitter taste about this to me that Shiva per se does not like to get the feeling 'This is historically valuable, you should pay attention to this, why don't you do that?' like there at Dagny's Gym, as well as a feeling like he knows everything and they shall follow and adapt no matter what, while it's sometimes harder and takes more effort to find wanted information on one's own, it's more fun and gives more of a feeling like having achieved something, and I said several times already that Shiva is a type of person who has a tendency to look into things on her own first (if possible), then ask for help or whether anyoneelse knows more. In this case, she is likely to ask 1. Ventus whether he already worked with disobediant Gothitelles before and 2. Nathan whether he knows more about Relic Stones.

Besides, while both knowledge Nathan and Ventus (and possibly Valder!) both has turned out rather useful for others, any Shiva - oh, and Heart - have hasn't, but I'm somewhat sure that 1. she knows stuff nonelse in the group is probably versed in (speaking about for example [not solely] Astrology, Lilith may enjoy that!) and 2. it's somewhat naturally that such a thing may occur if I'd make her a not very talkactive character that prefers to not share everything or shout things from the rooftop. ...*sigh* All in all, I'm simply putting hope that in the future we others get a little more plotrelevance later down the line instead of Nathan soft-guiding everything due to Mesprit. We are supposed to be a group where EVERYONE is equally important and shall have a chance for herosim matching their capabilities after all! ...Right?


Besides @Iron, as it's pretty late here and I should get some sleep, I'll be typing up the buying of Tandor-Upgrade alongside Training Session tomorrow, so I'd appreciate if you wouldn't handwave to the next in-game Day after the battle with Charmeleon for reasons of we all being able to start the Day right away without having to flashback. Would that be alright or too much to ask for?

(Since I'm a good heart person, I want to remind you that while in Battle the Necklace negates Apsis' Shed Skin, so she's still Burned until the match is over! Also, can Ventus start collecting snake skin to have Shiva make designer clothing out of them?)

Point made, my love, but its not as if you ALWAYS have to consult with Nathan on this stuff. Only everyone once in awhile or when its apparent that going to him would be the optimal/fast choice, if it isn't that burdensome a task.

Also, couldn't Shiva just wait until Tomorrow morning to go to the Department Center in the morn to buy those upgrades, before continuing to the Shelter? That way their are no Flashbacks, and the new day can begin in earnest without delays!

I'm not sure it's necessary to hold off the Day just for the Almanac purchase, since that won't affect anyone's Day 48 decisions. Heart and Nathan have been done with their days for a while.
Generally I want to only pause to let really important things catch up, especially things that might affect the decisions of others.

Thank you for accepting my points. That's fine too and Ventus can tag along if he comes to the Shelter that Day too if he likes - that way he'd be the first one to know about her Almanac'Dex' - I'll leave you decide on whether you would like to be that or not.
